My favourite company is BigHit,not because of BTS and TXT but because of how much artistic freedom they have. I will be auditioning for Belift lab, PNation, Abyss because BigHit doesn't hold girl group.

Same here, I already auditioned to Belift lab but I gotta admit it was pretty much last second so it wasn’t really the best I could do.. so I’m gonna audition again but I totally agree. I love how they train them in different “categories“ (like almost all members under bighit, Belift etc. are all rounders) and they give them freedom to write, produce, direct, choreograph and generally try new things. Also as a dancer I really love how they have creative choreographies, which can get quite hard (the still make it look effortless lol) but still fun.
(Btw: when you audition hmu haha and good luck I hope you’re gonna be able to show them your talent

Between the big 3 I do think that "SM can become ok after you've been an idol there for a while(i.e. getting some freedom due to seniority)", "JYP seems to give you better means to promote your personality(and become an actor later on)" and "YG is only for those willing and able to be swag and chic all the time".
Honestly out of the 3 I think that YG would be on my "no, thank you" list.I don't know why but they do give me an "oppressive" feeling.The building, the idols, the company...chills my spine.

KQ entertainment is not really well known but their artists such as ATEEZ, BLOCKB, Eden, Maddox, etc, all have such amazing artist treatment. Through photos and videos you can see how amazing of a relationship they have with the staff, how much they care for them and their health, and how much freedom they all have. It is so heartwarming to see, and so nice to see that these artists are being treated as if their literally KQ’s children lol

I really love jyp's concepts, (Mostly girl groups) but I've never wanted to audition for jyp, I probably will in the future. I can't help but make fun of jyp so it's probably not a good idea-

hi unnie just a suggestion :) how about making a more in-depth review or discussion of each company? like their strengths and flaws in different categories (ex. artistic freedom, profit, contracts, etc.) so other people could properly gauge their options maybe??
As much as I would love to do that, no company directly shares any of those information for obvious reasons.

Thank you Irene for all your support for kpop aspirants,but I am really sad to say this ,I am going to drop my dream of becoming a kpop idol .Now I am 17 and in India (Kerala),every child is in great confusion for their future studies ,and now I am going through it.And now I realise that kpop idol is something I can never achieve .Good luck for all who are auditioning and who's parents are supportive ,sorry that my comment is so long.

My favorite is Apink and Play M. They have promoted two to three songs 🎵 in each album. Chorong has written and published songs like "Wave". Eunji and other members are able to appear in solo performances and create albums. Play M has created six Korean and three Japanese concert Dvds for sale. They realize that Apink as a group is still relevant and that they are an asset even after their 7 year contract ended. Apink has been offered their second three year contract with Play M.

No, you can see how bighit treats bts ..they really care abt bts and the fact that bts has so much freedom unlike most artists and they had good comebacks with theories etc

I am not the most educated, but here are my opinion on some of the categories 🏝️🏝️🏝️
Best Treatment - I don't know what happens behind the scenes but if it is based on the money the artists get I heard bighit, yg and jyp gives a great share.
Best training - SM
Best promotions - All of big 3 + bighit I guess since they have a lot of money
Song quality - This one is entirely subjective but most of the gp say yg cause they focus more on quality than quantity
Company Freedom - P nation
Creativity- YG, they made the self-producing aspect in idols famous with bigbang. The only group of theirs that don't have a lot to say in their art is probably blackpink(which they are also slowly getting more involved in writing). The rest of their artists has a big influence in creating their own songs.
Facilities- Bighit and YG. They have amazing new buildings so I guess they have the latest tech right now.
Concepts - SM
Frequent Comebacks- JYP
Overall Fave companies - YG and SM, lol I also can't pick one

Actually in the loud audition show this year you can watch how great the staff and psy are treating the new boy group compared to jyp’s its was hilarious
well this was filmed before that show.
Even I thought to go in bighit seriously or else atleast under Susbidairy of bighit not the main reason bcuz of bts may be this reason only at some point the main reason of mine is they will recognize my talent atleat at some point and they will take care about idols this is the main reason I feel like they are more sensible they won't discourage I think that's much easily ofc I think definitely they will treat idols best this is what I feel💜

I wanna be an idol but I read somewhere like companies don't allow indians to audition.. And if they do its too hard to audition face to face and I think the companies rarely watches the online audition. that's why it seems like my dream is like a road with dead end.
