Hello Irene! I am Pragya from India. I was so confused to find my passion until I found about K-Pop. It changed my life. I spent alot days thinking if I should become a K-Pop idol or not but then I found your channel and I think that you are an angel sent by god. I spend 2 hours everyday in learning korean language online and making my body fit and slim. I dance, sing and rap whenever I am free. I guess when I achieve my dream body I will start training myself for the audition. I don't know my parents opinion and u know most Indian parents say become a doctor, engineer etc. But I don't think about it. I wish I will be going South Korea for the audition...... Its so so so so different to a western audition 👀 the stages are similar, however for agencies (in the UK) you send a paper application 9/10 they reject you. But that 1 will see you face to face for a 'chat'. Typically, you've gotten that far it means they're very likely to offer you a contract. It seems a lot more looks based for sure. They KNOW what is popular, whereas in westerm agencies they'll take you if you defy beauty standards. Its really interesting, thank you for the link Luvie! Honestly for the people asking questions along the lines of “I’m ___ will I pass my audition?” or “I’m super good at __ but don’t have/aren’t good at ___, will I be accepted?” or something similar need to know that you will never be perfect. and in this industry, there will be no one giving you the assurance you guys are asking for. You just have to be confident in yourself or you probably aren’t right for this industry. If you were really just so amazing at singing but can’t dance to save your life, or have out of this world visual but no talent at all, then you probably would’ve already been accepted if you just tried instead of seeking approval from everyone but the talent agency’s you want to be accepted into. If you really truly want to be a kpop idol then I’d recommend just practicing and improving until you know that you’re good enough, so you don’t have to seek out all this approval asking if you’ll make it. Because if you were as good as you say you are, you wouldn’t be doubting yourself this much. No one knows if you’ll make it, or even be accepted, most people don’t so you just have to try and see what happens.
The ideal weight and korean beauty standards are much stricter in Korea. Keeps you accountable to stay slim and fit. Kpop auditions, and becoming an idol is one of the great careers you can have if that’s your calling. I know your main focus is on kpop auditioning, but do you also know anything about applying for idol manager, and director assistant for the kpop company?
So I'm pretty much repeating what other people are saying. I don't look Korean I don't fit the standards but my body does. I'm black.. I'll still try lmao.

Honestly based on all I've seen and read, I do think that unless someone is stellar in most(if not all) skills that make an idol if they aren't Asian or don't look Asian...well they're out of luck. Looking like your audience makes them feel like you're one of them, or that you represent them, and that makes them be more open to you as an artist.
Thats even better. Kpop companies are more interested in young people cuz you can train since youre young. Im 12 too and im a little stressed cuz 15 is a bit old and im so close to that age hahaha

Hi I have a suggestion for a video! There are places we can go to that will help us prepare for kpop auditions called Kpop Academies. I know that some companies prefer to look for potential trainees at those places, because they have more experience, like P Nation.
most kpop academies are scams and i personally have bad experiences with one of the more popular ones as they literally put my video on their website as if it was theirs and put no credit or didn't even ask me if they could use it.

i think when people think about auditioning to be an idol, the things mentioned in the video aren’t even things they consider or think about how’d they handle them. of course if you’re serious about singing and dancing, auditioning might not be a crazy idea. but then again, for those who don’t live in korea; you’re[in most cases] going to be away from your family for a very long time. training to be an idol is not the vacation some people think it is just because you’re in korea !! you’re expected to be working hard everyday, thats with school, singing, dancing, everything they teach you. it requires a lot of effort. so just be sure you’re ready to throw away your free time on the couch cause you’re most definitely going to be working really hard

Its brown Height- 158 cm And two marks on my face🤧 (small but visible) I haven't talked to my parents or convinced them neither think that they would allow me Things i'm good at Singing-- Vocals and Rap both Dancing-- i'm not used to and i'm not too good or perfect but i'm a fast learner Visual-- i have a cute face (some what similar to jennie) with perfect smile (alike wonyoung) Expression while dancing-- are a lot improved and are likeable "But my colour makes me feel insecure for it"

When i want to audition but i have so much imperfections like having a many scar on legs, a having a ugly face etc. why it so unfair
You’re only “imperfect” if you think so
If it’s things like skin and weight, they can take care. Scars aren’t a problem as long as it doesn’t restrict your dancing.

Honestly based on all I've seen and read, I do think that unless someone is stellar in most(if not all) skills that make an idol if they aren't Asian or don't look Asian...well they're out of luck.
Looking like your audience makes them feel like you're one of them, or that you represent them, and that makes them be more open to you as an artist.

Hi I have a suggestion for a video! There are places we can go to that will help us prepare for kpop auditions called Kpop Academies. I know that some companies prefer to look for potential trainees at those places, because they have more experience, like P Nation.
most kpop academies are scams and i personally have bad experiences with one of the more popular ones as they literally put my video on their website as if it was theirs and put no credit or didn't even ask me if they could use it.
@@LuvieIrene Really? I've checked one that's near me and it looks very legit. The website didn't look poorly made like many other scams, ir perhaps that one hired someone good at design to make their scam seem more legit? I'll look more into it, thanks for sharing!

i think when people think about auditioning to be an idol, the things mentioned in the video aren’t even things they consider or think about how’d they handle them. of course if you’re serious about singing and dancing, auditioning might not be a crazy idea. but then again, for those who don’t live in korea; you’re[in most cases] going to be away from your family for a very long time. training to be an idol is not the vacation some people think it is just because you’re in korea !! you’re expected to be working hard everyday, thats with school, singing, dancing, everything they teach you. it requires a lot of effort. so just be sure you’re ready to throw away your free time on the couch cause you’re most definitely going to be working really hard
