Do Korean Entertainment companies accept Southern Asian people? Indian, for example. I’m Indian, Pakistani and British - mixed slight bits of Korean. Do I have a chance of getting in?
gonna be one hundred percent real and no filter, as a fellow poc; everyone has a chance to pass the auditions but with us (foreigners) they’re more strict. like unless they see that you have potential not only in talent alone but succeed in everything there’s a chance that we might not even debut etc or it gets too hard and just leave. luckily now there are more companies that are accepting foreigners but that’s only in passing the audition alone not debuting and that can take from one year to even eight years and if they see you don’t have the potential anymore, they can drop you like that. i suggest practice hard, make sure your ready for the mental and physical challenges you’re gonna face. and make sure you know the korean language and culture etc if you don’t already. it’s really hard with a language barrier not to mention accidentally disrespecting someone. read the companies policies/rules if they accept foreigners as it may differ. so yes, yes you do have a chance of passing but that’s only step 1 from your goal (if that is to debut and become an idol!), i wish you the best of luck.
@@user-zk2bj6tl5x All right! Thank you so much! I plan to audition for YG entertainment and have been preparing to dance to “I can’t stop me” by TWICE and sing “someone you loved”. I know it’s really mentally draining - I will work hard for it, though. If someone auditioned and they loved their audition but their parents refused to fly them over to Korea - what would happen, then?
@@Bitter._Joy1 i don’t think they do as companies do that all the time! and if their parents refuse to fly them to korea they would sadly not be able to go. companies don’t pay for flights or anything if the sort unless they become an idol with an image etc. and if they pass the auditions and become a trainee, they’re gonna have to stay in korea for who knows how long so that’s a different thing they have to figure out. visas or probably a green card depending how long the stay is and if they plan on becoming an idol. and if they’re not considered an adult yet parents consent will definitely be needed.
@@Bitter._Joy1 I think not using popular songs like ktl or anything like that is better because it'll seem like you're auditioning just for fun. I suggest songs which are not too famous but not fully unknown as well, like after school by weekly, way back home and more like tjat6

So the iland 2 audition is starting and i checked the form and theres this q that says where would i want the 2nd round happen and the only ones with the english audition language are austrailia and usa. Well i thought it would be cheaper to go within asia but its either thai vienamese mandarin korean and japanese theres no english language in any asian countries listed . So now i dont really know what to choose BUT its just in case j get in the 2nd round😭
Let me help you. If your country isnt there pick the one nearest to yours or the ones with english like you said USA or AUSTRALIA. Since my country isnt in the list I will choose Australia since is the nearest and I can speak english well. Just to inform you ,you WON'T be going to USA or AUSTRALIA that will only help the judges to seperate the people so it will be more organized. No, you won't fly to usa or Australia (since its the pendemic lol, it also says in the FAQ in their website " Q. Will there be in-person open auditions? A. There are currently no plans for in-person open auditions, and only online open auditions will be held. We will provide a separate notice on our website if in-person auditions are planned for the future.") You will be held in a zoom/google meet call with the judges and in the call there might be more people there too waiting in the waiting room of the zoom/google meet call(waiting to be accepeted in the call so they can do the 2nd round of auditions). You might(this is just a guess)meet other people in the call too and some are probably either from the country you picked OR the participants from other countries that picked the same country as yours). This 2nd round real-time video call auditions will be held from Sunday October 24 to Sunday November 21, 2021 * Applicants who pass the 1st round will be provided with a detailed schedule. * this means only the people that PASSED the first round of auditions can do the 2nd round of *real-time* video call auditions. One of my questions is that what happens if you dont actually know how to time your audition for 30 seconds and once you get in there you sing over the time you should?
When making an audition video do we really need to introduce ourselves? Cuz like they have everything on the form and some companies set a max duration of the vid. And i think i saw someone from tiktok saying that they'd prefer u not to introduce yourself and just get right into the song, but many ppl also say that we should introduce ourselves first, so I'm kinda confused
You guys know... both BlackSwan and WeGirls are holding auditions now... it's good time to use these tips lol It'll probly work best in WeGirls, since theyll add like 5 members probly and the group's lineup is very unstable so they are desperate lol
@@krissyxzone85 yes WeGirls, the iconic girl group, that debuted back in 2018, with 8 members, with the single "On Air", later on after more than a year and departures of two members (HaL & Hyeni), the group made an ICONIC comeback, that send shock waves through the kpop comunity, the mini album titled "Ride" was a cultural reset. After also releasing a special christmas single "Hello Christmas" (the best christmas song, kpopers ever heard), sadly EunA left the group, followed by Ellie & Nina and then also E. You. The group was starting to introduce new members, but went quiet, which had fans SURE that their company (aftermoon ent.) was unable to hold on to a line-up. Soon it will be a year since the group was supposed to introduce the new members. Since then the group also switched company to OnAir Ent (a sub-company of Aftermoon). Allegedly you can still hear the cries of kpop fans around the word EVERYDAY, caused by WeGirls' silence. VERY sad! (A fun fact about the group is that prior to joining, every member was an "influencer", which for WeGirls means, was in another group prior) Not knowing WeGirls is comparable to not knowing BLACKPINK or BTS, and may lead to the revoking of your "kpoper licence". People who dont know WeGirls are unstable and dangerous, like next thing you know, these people don't even know ACE is also the name of a girl group that debuted in 2015! SCARY I would never trust a person like that!

I have a few questions. 1. What are auditions like (face-to-face and online)? 2. Would it be a good idea to start auditioning during school or once I’ve finished (16-17)? 3. I’m a boy so I don’t know much about makeup so would it be worth it to do some research and try it out? 4. What happens after a successful audition (gotta be optimistic)? 5. Do you have to be good at dancing, singing, rapping etc. already or is most of it learnt as a trainee? I would really appreciate any answers. Thanks in advance.
Hey, I’m not a trainee but I’ve searched up some of your questions online For the first online audition, you need to post a video of you singing, dancing, rapping or whatever you’re auditioning for and send it to the company via their auditioning website (you can do this at any time). In the second audition, it’ll be a face-to-face with a judge through Zoom at a fixed time if you passed the first one (might take some time). The last audition requires you to go to Korea and do a photoshoot, but I’m not very sure about this part Honestly as early as possible is the best. If you want to start training earlier you should do it now as companies like their trainees as young as possible but if you want to play it safe finish your education first The judges would actually prefer you to not wear too much makeup but if you do, go ahead. I suggest concealer and some lip balm if you’re going to audition with makeup After a successful audition you can fly to Korea and start training, you should say goodbye to your families and friends first though because you’re not going to see them face-to-face for some time It’s good to have some natural talent first. If you can’t sing or dance then you’re at a huge disadvantage and the company most likely won’t take you for that. It’s safest to be very good at one thing and average at the others. They will train you to bring out the most potential in you Hope this helped!

I want to ask if you can tell me does YG and JYP pay for your flight pay?And VISA process, what about that?? and can I audition for dancing and rapping but also acting and me because I am really good at it,Advance Kamsahamnida
I have the same question
Usually it depends if I’m being honest
@Thinia yeah true true !!
Can you give an example of a bio that we can write in our online audition? And do we have to fill out a form while we are in our in-person audition with judges? If yes, then the form will be in English or Korean? And tysm for all these great tips you gave!! Helped a lot
I think red and yellow would be nice as it is eye catching
I’m auditioning for jyp so, thank you!!
More great advice for the young hopefuls out there.
pls tell us how to breathe when we have presential auditions lol my voice certainly would crack out with the nervousness

Ohhhhhh man, thinking about about auditions still gets me nervous. Usually I try to imagine myself in my room by myself singing and before its my turn, like I said also just singing before the audition to loosen up, this goes for breathing as well, I try to come to a calm or do simple breathing exercises

I went to SM one, it was really hard tho. At first I sang a song, then they will hold you in the room if you're passed. They will ask you to dance, pose, and sing again. Please prepare at least 10 songs in english and korean.
Really I'm preparing for auditions and can you tell me please whether We get to choose the songs or it's them and did u do an online or offline audition and how many rounds in total. Hope you won't mind and answer my questions hehe

Would they find it disrespectful if I danced to a rival companies song? And I really do believe I can learn Korean and be able to speak in it communicably!
@@Bitter._Joy1 I think you better not choose the rival company's song cuz I have heard it many times in audition tips..
@@Bitter._Joy1 I think not using popular songs like ktl or anything like that is better because it'll seem like you're auditioning just for fun. I suggest songs which are not too famous but not fully unknown as well, like after school by weekly, way back home and more like tjat6
If someday I do something great I would like to thank you
The song that I could reach is Somi's what you waiting for, BTS Butter, and
Edit : actually no still out of tune lol
perhaps Woo!Ah's QURIOUS album songs I could reach
14:45 if the company has their own colour I'd wear that colour
Or mostly purple💀
I'll try to wear maybe brown or something

[PLEASE HELP] Hii!!
No, you won't fly to usa or Australia (since its the pendemic lol, it also says in the FAQ in their website
" Q. Will there be in-person open auditions?
A. There are currently no plans for in-person open auditions, and only online open auditions will be held. We will provide a separate notice on our website if in-person auditions are planned for the future.")
You will be held in a zoom/google meet call with the judges and in the call there might be more people there too waiting in the waiting room of the zoom/google meet call(waiting to be accepeted in the call so they can do the 2nd round of auditions). You might(this is just a guess)meet other people in the call too and some are probably either from the country you picked OR the participants from other countries that picked the same country as yours). This 2nd round real-time video call auditions will be held from
Sunday October 24 to Sunday November 21, 2021
* Applicants who pass the 1st round will be provided with a detailed schedule. * this means only the people that PASSED the first round of auditions can do the 2nd round of *real-time* video call auditions. I hope this makes sense!
@Sotang Hoon They are going to make live video call for that.

One of my questions is that what happens if you dont actually know how to time your audition for 30 seconds and once you get in there you sing over the time you should?
As far as I know some companys dont even let you finish because they just say next and write something down or so

I think it's a good idea. Anything is possible :))
You don't have to be korean. You just have to fit the korean beauty standard.
Hey do u have any idea about YG's weekly audition in Korea...???!!
Hey! Can you tell that idols really act as good people or they are the same on-off camera??

You guys know... both BlackSwan and WeGirls are holding auditions now... it's good time to use these tips lol
It'll probly work best in WeGirls, since theyll add like 5 members probly and the group's lineup is very unstable so they are desperate lol
WeGirls?
VERY sad!
(A fun fact about the group is that prior to joining, every member was an "influencer", which for WeGirls means, was in another group prior)
Not knowing WeGirls is comparable to not knowing BLACKPINK or BTS, and may lead to the revoking of your "kpoper licence". People who dont know WeGirls are unstable and dangerous, like next thing you know, these people don't even know ACE is also the name of a girl group that debuted in 2015! SCARY I would never trust a person like that!
Can u please tell me where the application form for Wegirls Audition is?
@@kclarke421 I think you just need to send them an email, with some info.
Everything is written on OnAir's Ent IG (@/onair_ent_official) (that includes the email adress), latest posting.
!!DO KEEP IN MIND THOUGH!!: Their business email is on gmail... which probly isn't very professional and WeGirls has multiple backstage line-up changes and we don't know what causes them.
Also you'll be in a group with a religious fanatic, which is probably a terrible fate to live out lol
Wish me luck 🤞🏻

The fact that she was putting makeup and saying the some of best advices at the same time while I can't even think one thing at the time gives me vdvdjdjsbsjsksnsndn...
Hey, I’m not a trainee but I’ve searched up some of your questions online
For the first online audition, you need to post a video of you singing, dancing, rapping or whatever you’re auditioning for and send it to the company via their auditioning website (you can do this at any time). In the second audition, it’ll be a face-to-face with a judge through Zoom at a fixed time if you passed the first one (might take some time). The last audition requires you to go to Korea and do a photoshoot, but I’m not very sure about this part
Honestly as early as possible is the best. If you want to start training earlier you should do it now as companies like their trainees as young as possible but if you want to play it safe finish your education first
The judges would actually prefer you to not wear too much makeup but if you do, go ahead. I suggest concealer and some lip balm if you’re going to audition with makeup
After a successful audition you can fly to Korea and start training, you should say goodbye to your families and friends first though because you’re not going to see them face-to-face for some time
It’s good to have some natural talent first. If you can’t sing or dance then you’re at a huge disadvantage and the company most likely won’t take you for that. It’s safest to be very good at one thing and average at the others. They will train you to bring out the most potential in you
Hope this helped!
