Hey, great video! I was really skittish about the possibility of replacing a diaphragm, as I know NOTHING about speaker repair. Anyway, do you guys sell the diaphragms? How do I know if I need to replace the driver for the horn or just the diaphragm? One of my JBL MR805 floor monitors and one of my MR835 three ways both have non functioning horns. Someone in a parts site told me that these speakers both have the same horn & that I could replace them with either the 2417H or 2418H. Is this true?

greetings might be a long shot but wanted to ask anyways I have a speaker that the aluminum dome part of the diaphragm has been moving out of the main socket from the speaker its not dented just can now see inside the speaker at an angle where the diaphragm sits perhaps the sealant or whatever held it in place is too old to secure it? its strictly JUST the diaphragn silver part the then metallic dome everything is in tact is there a proper way to reinstalled that with a special speaker adhesive or something? hope im making sense much respect!

If the terminals are not marked, how can I determine the positive terminal?

If the terminals are not marked, we apply battery voltage to each terminal to see which way the dome moves. This will allow you to figure out the polarity. Generally speaking the dome will move toward the magnet when a positive voltage is applied to compression drivers where the throat is behind the dome.
