Think of your rover as a separate power grid to your main base. As it stands, your rover cannot recharge unless it has its own way to charge itself ( solar panels) or connecting it to your base via connectors. You’ll need two, one for the rover, and one for the base. You can alter the top speed of your rover, as well as which wheels deal with the turning and how sensitive they are to turning. 50Km/h is a nice speed for Earth, 180Km/h is too high given your spawn zone is rather hilly, though I usually run at around 35% power as 60% is a bit much for what you’ll be using the rover for. Raise your wind turbine up above your base as it’s not looking like you are getting full power from it as turbines need at least 8 blocks of space along its X and Z axis to get its full output. It looks like one of your solar panels might be interfering with its power output, so you could try raising up the turbine by another 4-5 blocks or so for some breathing room. Always keep in mind where you are going to expand your base out to, as production buildings get very large, as do some of the storages for Hydrogen and Oxygen. Loving the series. ❤
I absolutely agree. You also might want to turn breaking off on the front wheels. You could also go for a six wheeler. If you are gonna carry loads with it, your rover might get longer. Adding a gyroscope will let you correct vehicle orientation when driving off a sudden cliff or when you've managed to flip your rover over. 😁 (Now I'm hoping you won't read this LOL)
