Watching your live opening at the Acropolis for the first time today, with your life inspiring album release and a song dedicated to your sweet mother is amazing to say the least.
What an event!
When I was 16 and my mother had passed away, certain songs elements in your art pieces, Paths On Water, Chasing Shadows and Looking Glass would keep me strong in my weakest moments.
I went through life wanting to be a heavy metal guitar, shred legend. I was mostly passionate in martial arts, kickboxing and carried a very edgy persona as a wall of defense and decades later.. experience and growth has strengthened me to a point that anger is no longer needed nor bitterness or revenge.
Only my genuine desire to create heart melting pieces on piano that can heal souls in need.
Helping others is really all life is about.

I was introduced to Yanni's music at the age of 14 and had never heard anything so moving in my life. Here I am 25 years later and every time I hear his music, I feel the same emotions as if I'm hearing it again for the first time. His music is timeless. What an incredible talent! I hope I get to experience his music live.

Been listening for 33 years here. Introduced to the Out of Silence album by a friend when I was 17 and I was immediately hooked. There was nothing on that album I didn't like. I'm 50 years old now and I'm still a loyal listener. I especially like new reimaginings of the older music. I would love to hear more of the Optimystique material reworked, and I'd almost amputate something to hear Street Level get a treatment. :-)
Ashamed to say that I am 33 years old and never heard of him. Last night a friend of mine who is younger with 10 years, played a part of one of their concerts... I was shocked, he is too great to be living in our time! Such a God-gifted person! I never felt this way listening to music! I am in love with Yanni and his Orchestra! 🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍
My husband introduced me to him 30/31 years ago. He’s been my sanctuary of peace when life has been horrific as it is now with my husband of 30 years in kidney failure. Yanni brings me peace every day especially listening to Santorinni.

Took my mother to see him about 28 years ago in Sacramento. Definitely a showman. He surrounds himself with the best musicians he can find, and he always delivers.

to Mr. Yanni your my inspiration in music when i was i child. when i was 6 years old if i'm not mistaken, my family was so poor in the philippines, we dont have electricity at home, no television, what we have is just a small old radio operate by battery. one night when i was in my my nieghborhood watching tv, that was the first i saw you in tv and that's your first appearance concert in greece live in acropolis in year 1993. one of your piece you play is struck me so much, while the camera focusing in you, after the music stop in the middle approaching for the exciting part and you turn from the orchestra at your back, at the light also beam from down to up. and what happen is out of my excitement all of the sudden the electricity are totaly gone everything is dark.. so from that night i'll note in my mind your name Yanni and the way you dress white and you look like Jesus Christ for me 😁.. i told to myself in that night when i was grow i want to be like you, playing piano with heart all out and he passion is there and the most of all is to touching the hearts of many people while listening the music the way you play and for me it was so amazing and priceless.. and that night also i told to myself that i buy a cd or VHS tape of the whole video of that night concert that i saw when i grew up.. so lifes goes on and on and after 12 years while i was in a mall i saw a famous store named VIDEO city famous for rent or buy VHS tape, i flash on my my mind of the name Yanni so i'll ask the women working there if they had a VHS tape name Yanni, on my my surprise they had and the only one, i saw exaclty the way you dress white sorrounded with piano and the hair like Jesus Christ 😁.. so i ask the girl of it's ok to try but they replied is not unless i buy, so i reply ok i buy but i ask to play the tape and forward a little bit and while they play the video it surprise me so much, what happen is exactly the same piece that i saw, the same time duration, what i saw a video past 12 years ago on my nieghbor are exact video that saw 12 years later and i saw the whole video in that piece in short. i grab also a cassete tape of yours so that i can hear all the piece music inside of your first live concert in acropolis in greece back in 1993. Mr. Yanni your music is truly inspirational to all musicians out there, your music is touching the hearts of many people and i'am one of those.. now i' am already playing piano on a small church in remembering on my childhoods dream and to touch also the hearts of many people through music and everytime i saw people cry while i'l play i cry also 😁.. Yanii you are truly amazing, keep safe and strong and stay healthy, love you from philippines ❤❤❤

As a little child, this is the first music track I remember having listened to as it played back on a JVC cassette recorder in my home, at an age when I probably wasn't even able to speak, even then, I knew, it was an absolute masterpiece. This track got ingrained in my mind ever since, and I searched all around the house for the tape that had this song, tried every single one, couldn't find it. I yearned to hear this song for over 2 decades until I finally stumbled upon it on RUclips, and at that moment, imagine my exhilaration. I owe a large part of my passion for music, and the piano to this song, and to you Yanni. Your music is spiritual!

I heard Yanni for the first time on PBS when I was a teenager. I’ve had the pleasure of being in the audience twice now, It’s just mind blowing! His music is UNIQUE! it has moved all my emotions. I literally cried when I found out that Felitsa “was” his mother when he performed at El Morro in Puerto Rico. I immediately remembered his first Felitsa performance at the Acropolis when he said, she is my mother. I almost saw her as my own!! Anyways, his music has a very special place in my heart that no other artist will ever replace him.
