Im always sticking with H3 rubber and also played with others sticky chinese rubber. Besides the blue sponge reason, Black rubber indeed is more stickier and spinner. Red rubber usually faster and less stickiness..
I always liked hearing you speak. Also, most of the audience here is likely fluent in English, so tips in the comments can serve as a way to improve your already good speaking skills.
45 years ago I already played with black rubber on forehand and backhand, because I already noticed that I could give more spin with black rubbers. So for me it was a disadvantage that I had to play with black and red with the introduction of the new rule.🙁
Os tray a new rule to be able to go ball the way to the side of the table and near the net? We used to just stand on the ends and only went to the sides, if the ball was near or going in that direction.
Not sure how the coach sounds, but, but the AI voice not only sounds like a white guy, but even the choice of wording sound like a white guu and not a Vietnamese guy.
Hmm maybe you should blur out the emails and IP addresses of the commenters in those forum posts. Thanks for the video coach! Don't let the toxic comment section bring you down. If some people are having a hard time understanding some words maybe you can put subtitles? Then they can learn and adapt to your accent more easily. I love your enthusiasm in your videos and your real voice is essential. Love from USA
Sounds like coach either changed the voice and now this video sound like a white gut and not a Vietnamese guy. I never heard a Vietnamese guy speak like this and even the wording sounds like a white guy.
It depends: usually red are faster and most people use it forehand, but I remember that in the '80 Andrzej Grubba, having a strong backhand top spin, played with red backhand.
my thoughts before watching well it matters cuz you can have a better black rubber cuz you bought black tenergy 05 but you can have a better red rubber if you buy red tenergy 05 (or any other rubber)
I think the type of rubber is more important than the color. for example, I can buy a mercury rubber from china and choose whether I want black or red color. so it doesn't matter which color, it still is the same rubber. and for example you select a certain black rubber, most likely you can also choose the same type of rubber with red color. so the type of rubber is more important.
u forgot the one main reason of why they actually play black on forehand.. blue sponge national rubbers (which they use since almost a decade) is only available in black since the red topsheet would get too dark because of the blue sponge..
40 years ago there was blue, purple, yellow... Now you MUST have one red and one black, so your opponent can better distinguish which rubber has been used to hit the ball.
I have been playing table tennis for 15+ years and I haven't really noticed a difference between black/red rubbers tbh. At least not with European made ones.
When there is a new bat, I always test forehand swing it forehand black then forehand red.. the feeling is different. Its always the forehand black that feels the most balance.
Toi cung ra't thi'ch ! ! in the 1990, red was meant for forehand, but it is harder than black, thus a bit harder to control . . . so modern day players switch them around. usually, forehand usage is MORE than backhand rubber. Old master like Jan Ove WALDNER still uses red in his forehand.
hi may i know if you will help me build a covered table tennis court for teens and kids ? i have a 30feet by 40feet land my brother is selling his 30feet by 30feet land for 400,000 pesos which is just beside mine i already have 2 table tennis tables
if I'm not mistaking, you did not make any statement about ESN black versus red. Afaik (but only from reading european magazines) ESN states that "black is not faster than red".
Coach, your video inspired me of the other curiosity about playing table tennis. Can you tell me which carbon blade is the best ? How about the Primorac carbon penhold blade ? Besides, can I use my Primorac penhold blade with Xiom omega European rubber ? How is its effectiveness ?
anyone can introduce me a paddle for a not so beginner? i like spinning and chopping. just got back into the hobby and i wonder if there is a budget bat for my needs.
I don’t know how the Chinese have the same tires - Stig, Mendo, red and black - the difference in weight is THREE GRAM !!. These are two different rubbers - 1 gram of weight for maximum thickness gives one step of speed, and here there are three steps. And I had different sponges in chemistry, not only in weight - probably at factories located on different continents they made red and black rubber, so they turned out completely different
Hello coach my game play is forehand attack & back hand push & little bit Backhand flick my Blade is andro tribeier co off+ Fh- rubber is thibar quantem & BH& R47. But I feel like it's un control most of ball in out of table any suggestions for my Blade &rubber I am a intermediate player. Thankyou
If they aren't all required to use the same standardized rubber, what's really the difference? If the characteristics of the rubber happen to be the same regardless of color, will that then confuse the opponent no end because he's now expecting a certain kind of return if he sees one color vs the other? Do they really key off the color rather than just the motion of the bay and ball as it's struck?
I appreciate the closed captions but using a computer voice-over becomes very boring,, making it difficult to "pay attention. Other than that on a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate this a 5.5.
You should use the same rubber on both sides., soft rubber that is. Any decent Paddle in the 30 to $50 range is good enough, now the rubber super important that is where you should spend your money. This is the problem you all is using the same grip that the americans used 50 yrs ago and you swing the same turning your body on the forehand and hitting your backhand with the elbow.. That makes the swing go up and the face closes now you are hitting the top of the ball which makes the ball go down. So what do you do if the ball comes low. Hit garbage. Hit with the paddle face open go forward and up with your wrist and hit the bottom off the ball. Going forward with the face open and hitting the bottom of the ball will make the ball go up a little fly fast and have a ton of spin (but it will not come back to the table). That is why you go up with the wrist along with the forward motion So the ball flys fast and gets over the net with spin, the up motion just tells the ball where to go and with all the spin the ball has it will kick like a super ball when it hit you opponent side of the table. That is where soft rubber comes in. It Holds the ball long enough so the paddle face can be open when you hit Anyone who need like pimples to get power don know how to hit. Because when you use spin and kick., a person using pimples should not even be able to handle your shots.Pimples can only handle shots with no spin. But up till now everyone hits straight balls. And you can return a fast straight ball with a baseball bat. To handle a shot with spin and Kick you have to have good solid technic and good rubber. What a joke 2 different rubbers to me would not give me a consistant feel. This game is fast so you need a fast swing and a swing that will get you over the net and back to the table. This is just my opinion. But alot off player are starting to do this. Of course the Japanese keep losing because they are hard headed. Some people dont like hearing you have been doing it wrong all these years, But that is a fact. Try what I say and hit the ball right then the game is easy.
Может давно так и было. Но сейчас смотря видео , думал что за чушь . Нет никакой разницы. В конце он об этом сказал. Получается, сейчас эта инфа не актуальна ..
So basically everyone is trying to mimic the Chinese national team. The same rubber of different colors don't have any difference in speed or spin. They are incorrectly deducing that Red is faster for all rubbers.
There is no difference at all between red and black rubbers!!!! It's just a matter of perception and beliefs!!! Whatever search you make you won't find the difference indicated here. And if you think there's some difference, it's just what's known as confirmation bias!
Hello Coach, I recently bought Andro Rasant 47 black and green rubbers. The reason? 1- I like the brand and it’s quality,,2- I like the color, and 3- it was on sale that day! Not very scientific. But now I wonder your take on the difference in stickiness between the Andro black and Andro green?
Red, black, yellow, blue, brown, transparent, pink or whatever, don't make any difference; then what makes the difference? it is the skills, practice, and hand and eye coordination. Rest is BS.
Hello coach! What happened with your accent in this video? 😅 Well I guess the difference is only in the case if Chinese rubbers. European ruubers and Japanese rubbers seem to be very similar no matter what colour they are... 🤔
yes, coach... We are used to your very nice accent. Definitely go back to the classic style pls.

Coach, you should be proud of your Vietnamese heritage and use your own voice. Your voice was very nice and audible, so there are no issues! 😊
Thank you! 😃

Interesting topic, but the AI voice is super tiring.

Red is forehand and black backhand.

Why is everything so complicated ?
my thoughts before watching well it matters cuz you can have a better black rubber cuz you bought black tenergy 05 but you can have a better red rubber if you buy red tenergy 05 (or any other rubber)
For DHS rubbers another reason for using black rubber for forehand because of blue sponge.
definitely black!🖤
Just as how black rubber is better , your voice is better
question could be answered way faster and easier, but its youtube, content world....
Coach can you review the blade DHS 301, 301x and 506x
Thank you for the interesting info!
Thanks, budy.

Interesting, but what about the new collors (blue, green, pink and purple)? Are the faster or different from black or red rubbers?

Hi coach! Please use your voice. We like the accent. Thanks for everything!!
How about those which hold vertically? They only have rubber on one side
I’ve always used black on forehand, I don’t know why. Was I subconsciously influenced by matches I’ve watched?
Which blade is this in the thumbnail?
