  • I suffer from the worst morning habit and this is how to fix it. A good friend suggested listening to a podcast from @MelRobbins on her Million Dollar Morning Routine and I am so motivated to overcome the worst morning habit. What is the worst morning habit? According to the Million $ Morning Routine episode, the worst morning habit is snoozing.
How does a morning routine make you more productive? These 5 habits have been scientifically proven to improve productivity and positivity. The most important morning habit is to get up without snoozing! Snoozing is debatably the worst morning habit you can make because it resets your sleep pattern called sleep inertia and fixes your mind on rest and not work. Morning routines are habits that you set to fix the snoozing problem and start your morning for the best chance at success.

Remember those resolutions? I completely fell off the wagon and I am FINALLY fed up with myself! I love podcasts and hearing @melrobbins say how your morning routines are promises you make to YOURSELF to be the best version of you. That hit me because "I'm just not a morning person" but she calls BS on that. Hitting snooze is the problem! You just have to figure out what time you want to get up so that you can have the morning that will work FOR you and not AGAINST you. If you need to get up at 5 to have an hour to yourself, that is what you need no matter if you are a morning person or not. Thankfully, I do not need to be up that early, but I do need to make myself get up by 7 so that I am ready to work at 8. What time do you need to be ready to work?
I can be woman enough to admit that my natural rhythm is to stay up late, but when I work out I naturally go to bed earlier because my body is ready for it. When I am lazy and don't do physical (more than regular cleaning) I don't sleep as well so this makes sense! Maybe I would be a morning person if I truly tried this! Are you a morning person or a night owl?
So here is the question: Do you need to make some changes? If you are, I hope you will join me on my health journey. My goals are to get up, get moving, and be more focused EVERY DAY. My hubby and I agree that we have let ourselves go and want to be active people and not couch potatoes. We are feeling old and rickety from not moving our bodies. Even if I can't keep up on the bike, I can walk! In 2 weeks, this should be a set routine and by the end of May, I am hoping to see some toning!!! How awesome would it be to feel and look better by summer?
Praise report: Celebrated my birthday with a slumber party with a few of my close friends which was such a good idea since we never had enough time to talk. My daughter went to her 1st prom and I was in charge of pictures--no stress--but they turned out beautiful. My cup runneth over with contentment at how God continues to provide for us in starting a new business. My mom still needs your prayers as well as my daughter who is 7 months pregnant with her 2nd. Also, please continue to remember our channel so that we can spread love and support to Mommas who struggle to do it all while raising tiny humans. My mission is to encourage women to find joy in their home by finding routines that work to manage the chaos and gives them the freedom to embrace a little fun and faith with their families. Your prayers are making that happen!
As always, I love you and pray you have a blessed week. I hope to chat with you over on Facebook and Instagram until next time. 🥰

I don’t have a alarm I have a early riser that likes to be my alarm but its ok because i love to be up early to make a start on the day. feels like you achieve so much before you leave the house. I use to love getting outside in the morning and going for a walk. its so refreshing

I totally get this! I have pushed my snooze button every morning for as long as I can remember. And I completely agree...by pushing the snooze, I am deciding not to participate in my life until the very last minute when I absolutely have to. And it is always because when I open my eyes, the first think I am thinking of is all the things I "have" to do instead of waking up and being grateful for this life, with joy in my heart! I am definitely going to be intentionally applying the rule of deciding to participate in this beautiful life I have been given, by making the most of every minute I can of my morning! Thank you for sharing!

I understand. Technically I don't have to be up at a certain time but I hate my morning to be gone before I truly get things done. We can do this!

I don’t set an alarm, so I don’t “hit snooze” (I’m just naturally an early bird, and wake up around 5am every day), but I still liked these tips. My husband works nights, so making my side of the bed is something I can definitely do. I also need to be active for at least 10 mins when I wake up, and avoid electronics. I read a devotional & my Bible on my phone, though. 🤔 I think making my side of the bed, getting some push-ups/squats/ab exercises done for 10 mins, and praying before touching my phone is a great place to start. Thank you for sharing this. ❤

Your lucky not to be a snoozer! I also read my Bible on my phone but then I scroll and waste time. Today I walked and prayed instead and then read my real bible for my progress time. I felt more grounded and open when I got back.

I don't hit snooze at all, but I struggle with getting moving in the morning. I tend to get up with my alarm, but go sit on the couch 😕
I would love to get in the habit of moving for at least 10 minutes every morning, but I tend to make excuses and/or the weather outside isn't cooperating with an outside walk. I'd love to know what you do on those days.

So far its been sunny but I can tell you today my body was aching and I had to force myself to get moving. I am thinking on bad days I will do stretching and wall palates.
