Soul coughing is one of those "only in the 90s" kind of bands. While they were together, warner brothers would promote them on Cartoon Network, with singles made out of 'Rolling' and 'Circles.'
Such solid grooves, that bass player plants himself firmly in the pocket from start to finish.
( Which does make sense, considering the number of samples they used from cartoons)

The melody is repetitive and has a certain monotony about it. To me, the lyrics speak of the pointless futility of the whole Hollywood ethos. Musically reminds me of Talking Heads - Once in a Lifetime with a similar lyrical message ...
