This is genuinely what life was like back in the day for a majority of working class brits in their early 20’s. It was truly revolutionary when it came out. It was literally the sound track to my 20’s. Phenomenal album.
This was 🔥 more Uk rap albums? Look out for Skinnyman - Council Estate of Mind, it’s over 20 years old now though! Skinnyman is a real OG of the Uk scene.
@@joshuachalkley6883I think they like to listen to their album reactions on vinyl. Would love to get a copy of Council Estate Of Mind myself but contract fuckery and crooks have scuppered a chance of that.
i pulled his head down so i could knee it but he's got my ear, hes twisting it it's really hurting me. is one of the best lines in any song i've ever heard about a fight atleast.
This is actually a true story from track 1 to the end is what actually happened to him best album of all time, mad how he turned it into an album such a good idea.
LOVE the streets! Original pirate material might be my favourite though followed by everything is borrowed 😊 absolute staple of the UK music scene these guys 👍🏼 nice one for reviewing 😊
If you want a real look at what mid 2000’s British culture was like, watch the fat boy slim big beach boutique documentary. It was an absolutely phenomenal free beach party that was only supposed to have a couple of thousand people but ended up shutting down Brighton. Literally the police shut the town down, you couldn’t get in or out, the police had to escort people up the m23 motorway to Gatwick airport because the roads were just solid with people trying to get to the party for over 30 miles away. 😮Over 50,000 people with some estimates going up to 100,000. Yet not a single arrest or any trouble at all. Just a proper good rave.
went to that and remember getting stuck in traffic on m23 in the new fiesta zetec so we decided to start dabbing the mdma and was missing for the whole day. was a nice day from what i remember.
I was in my early 20s when this album came out. You probably have to be from England to truly relate to it, and probably more so the album before, original pirate material. When I listen to them it is just me and my mates from those times. Fucking love it.
Saw them at Glastonbury this year and it was the highlight of the weekend! Mike skinner is an all time great front man, had the crowd in the palm of his hand for an hour
It’s a story, it goes in order. He loses the money. Meets Simone. Tried to get some money gambling. Simone cheats on him with Dan. Etc etc etc. it’s a linear story. It’s phenomenal storytelling.
8:36 Definitely see the Slick Rick comparison. The story telling and witty, unique cadences. He was also born in the UK, which may have added to his unique style.
Can we get a reaction to Enter Shikari?? Awesome british band that mix DnB and Metal, i recommend the first two songs from the Falshflood of colour album System/Meltdown as they are counterparts. Keep up the good work guys
I would love to know how I go about getting a reaction from you guys ? I can’t seem to find an email or how much you guys charge at all . I’m a Rapper from the U.K and have a video that you might like but can’t find contact info . Love this channel anyway . Please keep up the great work it’s a pleasure watching and sharing your channel either way . Keep shining 👊🏻❤️
Just sitting to listen to this with you guys with an Ale Wingman by Brewdog Classic Uk Albulm similar to Plan B a good story telling Albulm hope you liked it I’m watching it on the big TV
Loved seeing you guys enjoy the rollercoaster ride so many of us enjoyed back in the day when this classic hit us. Mike a true bard and you can surely see by now why Ren calls this man a huge inspiration. (Still no match for Strom live tho'😅)

Skinner walked, so the rest of the uk could run! He changed the game from pirate radio to mainstream media! Huge part of British culture ❤
