The spider verse movies, imo, revived the actual fun creativity that made the audience go “wow!” within an animation. Deceptively simple. Before the spider verse, every other animation just started creeping towards semi realism and corporate-ish vibes.
Wtf is corporate vibes. These movies are all made by artists. we love what we do. Don't be an ass. And 2nd artists love spiderverse but already ppl are only taking the message of make only spiderverse style. Not be more creative. And audience ddnt fall inlove with the style at first. Many were turned off by it
I don't know why there aren't more videos on learning from the spiderverse films. I honestly feel like there's too much to learn from them to the point I don't even know where to start 😂.
U always teach me something new and it is very refreshing cause a lot of creators maximize views so they cater to more of a beginner audience but u do it in a way that can be helpfull for amateurs and beginners ! love ur vids
Your breakdown of what you observed from the art style of the spider-man movie is really eye opening. Will be mindful to use these techniques in my drawings. Thanks Marco!
That was one of the most insightful videos on color and shape design I've seen. I love the idea of the "cutout" method for negative shapes! The color key breakdown exercise taught me how to study color from film! This video is too good! Thank you for sharing!
I observed how artists got involved with this movie lately because i see wonderful spidy paintings posted on Facebook by these artists and i wonder what must have triggered it all of a sudden. Meanwhile, thank you Marco, you video never disappoints, you need to see how i got goosebumps when you talked about colors. Thank you Master
man I thought you are going to talk about Patrick o'feeke painting style like those shapes work on painting and that specific graphic style but its okay this was helpful too again thank you master.
great video marco, you really made me undestand a simple way to insert a colorful background using an analgous pallet that looks very contrasty but isnt and to fit the characters into the background easily
😮 This video's step-by-step guide to the animation process of 'Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse' was incredibly informative. I loved learning about techniques like negative space design, fast vs. slow animation processes, painting and color key, and the significance of silhouettes. It gave me a new appreciation for the artistry behind the film."❤
Hey what brush do you use in the spider verse black and white / color model. I see a square type of brush but what is it? I'd love to practice this type of things in some more freeze frames myself. Thanks so much! Amazing video
This is the first video I've seen that REALLY helped me in choosing a color pallete. All the other videos that show you all the types of color harmony, like monochrome, analogous, complementary colors, etc... Helped me little in understanding how to realistically apply that to a painting. I understand that "green is the opposite of red", but most compositions use a wide range of colors, so that I always thought... Cool, but why people don't use it? Besides, when painting, I might need to use a color that's not in that very limited set of colors. (Ex: I chose a blue to red collor pallet but I need to put a banana in the picture and it would be very strange to have a blue or red banana). You are one the only people in the internet who say... Hey, you don't have to actually use yellow to make it FEEL yellow. You're undoubtedly one of the best teachers there is when it comes to color.
Hola Marco.
Great vid. And happy for the success of spiderverse. Unfortunately the only lesson being learned with audience is do spiderverse style. Wow tht worked. Keep doing tht. Which is why its not always good to listen to fans
this was the first art video that taught me SO much in a way that was super easy to understand!! now i feel like i can actually apply something to my studies. thanks so much, this was amazing!
You are one of the best teachers i know. I bought your lesson on drawing the head a couple of years ago and it made a world of difference to me. Would love to have an entire series on learning from different movies.

Just goes to show how conservatism and traditionalism limits creativity. Especially under capitalism.
@@Cellardoor_ there's always that one motherfucker that mentions capitalism
across the spider verse was so good that it reignited my passion for art and ive been drawing almost daily ever since i saw it

Except for some. Like Arcane.
I've said this to many friends and I'll say it again. You are the best art teacher on RUclips period.
mr bucci done dropped another gem
Muito grato pelo conteúdo 😊
You always blow me away with your insights and attention to detail. It almost makes me want to do art again. Art has become stressful instead of fun.
That’s too bad, i’m sorry it’s not fun for you
@@shuacraft9193 Thanks for the sympathy.
I understand that, I've been going through the same thing. Spiderverse has really motivated me to do more art through! :)
This is free??? Like this dude really out here giving all this knowledge for free in such a short video but so well structured????
Bad business
Good person
@@ESALTEREGOHe has paid lessons and they are worth it.
@@ESALTEREGOIt's far from bad business. If a person gives this kind of content for free, people can try it and most likely buy it
@@ESALTEREGO I'm actually more incentivized to buy his paid classes now though.

That’s probably why - it can be intimidating when the source of study is so overwhelmingly full of solid fundamentals pushed to their extremes.
I always lovee the poses in the spider-verse, they always look so dynamic. And it's really helpful to find out the reason why behind it :D
Marco’s knowledge of painting and colour is just unmatched, absolute art god. Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us marco💙

I really can’t thank you enough for your amazing content. While I don’t do animation, your teachings truly help me in my own art practice. 🥹🫶🏻💕
But the silhouette of your pose, I am having hard time reading it, where is the head or the other leg? is it just me, or am I missing something?
Artist here and yeah he did screw up there
No, I'm agree with you.
