- Among the new Toyota Tacoma's advances in design, interior styling, and tech, its new hybrid powertrain stands out as one of the more compelling aspects of the new midsize truck. The hybrid is optional on mid-level Tacomas and standard on higher trim levels such as the TRD Pro and new Trailhunter trim.
Combine this with the increased fuel efficiency, and you get a midsize truck like no other on the market right now.
So let's look at 9 Reasons Why You Should Buy The 2024 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid. Авто/Мото
my 2021 rav4 hybrid gets 41 to 42 avg mpg...just get the tacoma over 30 and I'll be trading my rav4 in.
I love the looks, but I want a plugin hybrid I don't like all electric. Hybrids though is something I am for sure interested in.
Absolutely. EV trucks no sense unless you get >400 while towing and more chargers everywhere. Imagine trying to find a charger with a trailing a boat or camper behind you. PHEV is the way to go, but car manufacturers are blinded by the EV utopian dream.
don't think they sell them here. they are everywhere in Norway. think they lose money
Plug in would definitely push me towards buying one.
@@jjshow8572 The 2025 Gladiator will carry the jeep 4xe PHEV powertrain. Might take a look at that.I am debating with the Tacoma hybrid, but the Gladiator 4xe or Ramcharger might be the way to go.
@icarussisyphus5201 as a former jeep engineer, i dont recommended anything in the stellantis brand. We actually design things to last just beyond the 36 month initial period so it falls into "beyond warranty" goal post. I worked for ford and they do this too but at least its 5 years and not 3.5. Just an fyi
Any ideas for what slide on camper you can put on this beauty ???

Like the look and added features but should have stayed with v6. Just add horsepower and manual transmission with high power output.
Will it have phev option?
I wonder what the difference is between the Tacoma vs the Stout?
I’d like to see the Extra Cab with a 6’ bed 4X4 in the SR5 or TRD Sport trim.
This vid just listed two different miles for city ratings for the tundra...🤦♂️ I'm pretty sure they meant city AND highways which it's 20 city and 24 highway which is funny because for hybrids it's usually the opposite. I would rate the tacoma to be around what any other mid size suv gets for mileage. I would estimate 35 city and 30 highway. Given it has a big 4 cyl turbo engine, which is going to eat a lot more fuel than a regular n/a engine. So it may be even less given the current tacoma only gets 20/23 that would still be a big improvement. If they made it a plug in hybrid that could do 40-50 miles I think I could go for it. My commute it about 30 miles so if I could get 1 way in ev mode I'd be happy. There are tesla chargers around the corner from my work and I could plug it in when I get home. Cutting my fuel bill down could help offset the cost of the truck.
Those plastic bedliners are slippery than a puck on an air hockey table. If you put something in the bed better make sure its secured
2:59 20 miles per gallon city and 24 miles per gallon city?
where did you get these numbers?? thought they hadn't been release by EPA yet??
Current mgp yeah, hybrid should push it into the 30's
@@Oldguard_8 So it doesn’t drive on the highway?
@@Oldguard_8ugh no itll be like 26 hwy
1 reason you shouldn't buy it. You can't afford $700+ per month payments.
Some people certainly can. That being said, not sure why anyone would want to unless it was less than 1% APR.
The dealers here in FL cant wait to sell you GAP insurance on any new Toyota. Haha
Probably more like $450-600 per month
@Kylewraps , nowhere close to $400...unless you're putting 55-60% down. The rates are just silly now even with teir one credit.
@@alfonsom8286 Unless you can get a new vehicle on dealership preferred financing (obviously select models, select regions, probably select trims). Otherwise I don't see below 4.49% in the North East from credit unions.
Looks better than cybertruck
💯
He lost me at “grill and swept back headlights that give it an aerodynamic look.”
C’mon, dude! That ain’t aero!
I'll be paying $1000 a month payments... sweet ❤
38 mpg???? it's like 21/26! What is this video?
im guessing its gonna cost 60k
With dealer mark-ups, probably. The MSRP figures I've seen from KBB and others suggest mid 50's but after the dealers get them, that'll be closer to 60 for sure.
And thats why I wont have one 😅 I love the truck though
more like why you should not buy one
Should've stick to v6, hybrid and turbo don't last
Hybrid definitely does last . I drove a Prius 170,000 trouble free miles. I don't have any experience with turbo but I'm about to.
@JH-mt3pp let me know if the hybrid last 280k to 300k without any issues like the v6 ..I'll consider it
engine in hybrid don't run all the time; it only runs when the battery is low. Therefore, hybrid car would last longer
@@oraleholmes1263my Uber driver had 240k miles on his Prius original engine/ power train
Stop hating you sound like Scotty Kilmer

What’s up with these generic AI voice videos ?
It’s an all new truck with dark, depressing, drab, boring, gloomy Gray or Black interior colors that became popular in 1990… 34 years ago. 🤮🤮🤮🥲😒😩🖕🏽
You can get the TRD Pro with red interior: Red seats and some red on the dash, etc..
@@kevinbreese5739 I saw that as well.
But why should anyone have to pay for one of the highest trim levels just to get a different color than what became popular in 1990?
I had my 11 Ranger XLT super cab reupholstered in Red with Black stitching so I could get rid of the depressing Gray and boring Black interior.
@@Doc1855 Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
@@JH-mt3pp True, but being Forced for 34 years to accept dark drab depressing colors is stupid.
