I was wondering how to adjust my MOT welder. Now that I know how, I will try and make up an adjuster with the shunts I took out from several MOT's. Thanks for making this video. Very helpful.
thanks for the video I have just bought a stick welder just like this one and have subscribed to your channel as you get to the point and get the information over well done
nicely done vid. but i want to ask you. i have an old buzz box. got at a yard sale. i get a spark from it, but can not maintain the arc. if its the box, can i fix it . .
I would word it a little different, we would say that at max power the shunt is increasing the mutual inductance between the two coils. When it is min power and the core metal is retrieved from the center of the transformer you have minimal mutual inductance.
whats the material of the magnetic shunt, and can you make a better explanation of what happens when you put in and put out the shunt. Thank you very much for your video it is really informative, i am building a welder myself that is why i am asking and if you can please explain how to change from ac to dc and what happens when you do so.
Sir did you cut the center of the primary and secondary or what I mean is, separating the primary and secondary?? thanks to this video it helps a lot..
These welders, for ease of assembly, have the transformer made in two halves, and then welded together . I just ground of the weld, reverse of assembly, to separate
I have just got a sip weldmate and the spindle undoes just the same. if I take it apart the same way how will I join the transformer back together?( I only have this welder )
u said u were going to repair the shunt, though u skipped showing us what was wrong with it? and then skipped fixing anything and said i repaired the shunt? and went to testing it, wtf... why did u not show us what was wrong? did it break a acme thread? was it over spun and not on its thread anymore? did u add a blocker to stop it over extending? what a waste of time this video was..
Do you have a diagram on that sir??

Im still waiting to see what the problem was and how it was fixed??
Great video, thanks. All the welders are getting tested for amperage tomorrow morning👍👍 thanks again

the most helpful tutorial on welding machine, thanks
What is the exact rated voltage/current and thermostat temperature of the thermal switch..thank u
What is the core size of the transform and what is the wire gauge? Demo video from a video
Hey, thanks for sharing! I don't have exactly the same problem, but this will really help me.

Please tell me what thick/size have wires in primary and secondary and what dimensions have the transformer. thank you!
