Make more videos like this! We get it takes a really long time and work to make a full featured dedicated review video for one paddle, so making content like this is the way to go right now given how many paddles there are and are coming that we all are itching to see and hear about 😊. Awesome video Will!
That vauraus paddle sounds great. I have watched a few reviews and saw cliffs team play with it. Everyone seems to like it. I think I might try it as my 1st bought paddle as the ppl who talk about it say the same thing, good control, lightweight, no added power but solid for all levels. Sounds perfect for me as someone who wants more control over power.
Can you add the CRBN concept paddle specs to Pickleball Studios chart so we can see specs (and if we like them pressure the company to release a new paddle)?
I upgraded to a CX14 Ultimate and just as of 2 days ago switched to a new Thrive paddle but dang it i wont be able to stop myself from buying the new gearbox either lol
Thank you for all the great info . I’ve been doing some research on these before I saw your vid and you are right on the money with these paddles . Just like you said some of these paddles have a lifetime warranty . Amazing . At a great price too . Thank you . Keep up the good work
The glossy edge guard from engage it’s actually nice to have ! When you scratch your paddle with the ground court you just wipe with your hands and looks like new again like you never scratch your paddle with the ground I think that’s genius not like other paddles you scratch and that’s it it’s there permanently
Oh no! Just when I thought I was ready to buy a certain new paddle, your review comes out with even more new ones and so now I'm so CONFUSED on which one to buy! You didn't actually rate them so I'm waiting for more reviews from you with more detail about these paddles to help me decide which ONE is the ONE!
@@PickleballWill Awsome, when will Selkirk let you post it, do you have to wait until the offical launch on the 25th or can people review it now it is out for labs members? I currently play with a 003 and love it. I wanted to know how difrent(improved) it is compared to the 003!
Last paddle looked like a filth which is my current favorite. I got the hudef viva pro 2. I like it. Have you played with a Neonic? STS pickleball gave it great review for $90.
Love the new gearbox should have my review posted by late this evening. Luxx and CRBN concepts are also awesome. Those 3 are in a tier of their own and I think the gearbox pro and crbn concept are in a different league. Gearbox overall the best. Concept best spin and shaping of ball. Luxx has best control
Thanks for the content Will! Which of these paddles do you think would be best for singles? Looking for something to complement my Rhombus Pulsar with more power/pop. I’m guessing the Carbon
A lot to take in. Just re-ordered the Black Diamond again. Due to tournaments coming. Will have this video on repeat when I go to sleep. For digestion purposes….not sleep. And mental digestion….not because I’m constipated from my wife’s Thai food…😂😂😂
I currently have the Joola Scorpeus but its nearing end of life on spin and looking to buy in a month or so. Would you recommend waiting it out? And if so would you recommend anything similar but just with more spin/power on drive or even just better control/feel overall? (I know this is subjective but could use opinions)
I'd wait it out a bit. There's a few paddles might be worth checking out like that new Gearbox for power. New shape for pickleballapes might be a contender for feel. If you are looking for a bit more power on the drives I think that Engage pursuit MX 6.0 and the Hudef Viva 2 are up there along with the Vatic Prism V7. Overall performance I might go with the new Luxx Control Air
14mm, grit will eventually come off but I dont think thats a risk within its warranty period (1 year). RPM supposedly 2000-2100 in other influencer videos. Im personally waiting for CRBN next paddle as I currently have a 2x and am somewhat of a brand loyalist.
You ever play with a Proton paddle? Been curious about those since I saw Andre Daescu win MPL with one. I found zero reviews on youtube about those paddles and no public reviews shown on their website. Wonder if they could send you a few for free to review.
My friends all call me a power player, but I would love a bit more control in my play style do you think getting the Luxx would be a good choice for me, also the color scheme is PERFECT
I googled the vauraus paddle and watched the hype vid. I like cliff a lot but i couldn't stop thinking about "the perfect blend of power and control". I'm excited about that one but is it anything that isn't already out there? I want to try the Luxx; I have a bad feeling selkirk is going to make it like $250 which is out of the budget. Companies seemed to have dialed into the best bang-for-buck mid-priced paddles ($100-180) but apparently there is still a market for $250 paddles(?)
The Vauraus isn't anything you haven't already seen but it is elongated and has a fairly low swing weight which is rare to find. Def still a market for higher priced paddles but as of right now you aren't missing much by getting the best for buck middle priced paddles out there.
Between the Selkirk control air, engage pursuit MX 6.0, and the new gearbox how would you rank them? I like the Selkirk look and control aspect but price is also much more..
Towards the end of Pickleball Studios’ Oya review he mentions Pickleball Apes so I asked him if he was going to do a review. He replied he’ll do one when their Hybrid paddle releases.
@@WilkesFamilyPB I’m very happy with my Apes paddle. It’s definitely a Power paddle. The pop it has makes punch volleys effortless! As long as you can control the Ape it’s a banger’s dream!
Still can’t get the Engage Pursuit Pro in Australia. 😢 The pros here are using them. Why Engage? Why????? And as Will said….the muted old colours were class. Maybe red instead of white????
Unfortunately I haven’t had a chance to play with the new hybrid model but I currently love this elongated version and have heard good things about the hybrid model
No where is selling that Selkirk luxx control air. The one they sell has a different design than the one you show in video. Also your links are showing different paddle.

C’mon CRBN, make it happen. So stoked with the 1x 16mm but a freshie from my favorite paddle company would be epic! Great content 👍🏽
Or a power series paddle from CRBN shaped like a DBD or R1 Pulsar
That vauraus paddle sounds great. I have watched a few reviews and saw cliffs team play with it. Everyone seems to like it. I think I might try it as my 1st bought paddle as the ppl who talk about it say the same thing, good control, lightweight, no added power but solid for all levels. Definitely a solid control oriented paddle
Great video, Will - it reminds me a lot of our call the other day!
The Gearbox Pros arrived. Agree they are 🔥🔥
Right on!
Whats the favorite the Power or Control elongated?
Can you add the CRBN concept paddle specs to Pickleball Studios chart so we can see specs (and if we like them pressure the company to release a new paddle)?
Having moved on from the CX14H. I’m looking forward to trying the new Gearbox paddles. Currently playing with Vatic Pro Flash 16mm
Sold my CX14 but the Flash 16mm is still with me. Also real curious about the new line frim GB.

you like the new crbn or gearbox paddle better?
That’s a tough one i could either way but if I had to choose probably the CRBN concept
Gearbox or Selkirk then for second place? (No, I’m not an HR spy for Selkirk. 😂)
@@PickleballWillhow do you compare the CRBN concept with the Double black diamond
New gearbox paddles!?
Agree with you on a moderately heavy paddle with low swing weight, out of all the paddles mentioned which one closely resembles this.
So many good and interesting paddles! Picking the next paddle has all the sudden become that much harder...

Haven’t had a chance with the Neonic
I love the Filth, waiting for B&Bs new paddle before I buy a new one, but the Apes and Neonic are on top of my list.
Have you used the Neonic yet? If so, any opinions on it? Just bought it off the STSPICKLEBALL review so I have high hopes

That Prodrive and that LUXX. 🤤

Yes

Gearbox, Selkirk, engage. And they are all around the same price range
Luxx Control Air is less expensive than the MX 6.0
When is that new Crbn releasing? Any news on it?
Don’t think you are going to see it til Spring
Hi Will- IS the Selkirk Luxx head heavy at all? would it be better to get the Epic shape to eliminate head weight
There’s some weight at the head but it isn’t anything crazy. If you want a lower swing weight then yes the Epic shape would probably be best
