this was super helpful! I want to start a podcast but the cameras that are recommended are like $600+ and i'm not super comfortable spending that much since I just dropped a bunch on mics and etc. Also, I was thinking about how the Gopro is versatile.

Great video! What’s the rest of your set up like with the GoPro? I’m trying to find the best way to sync the audio with my GoPro footage

I’m wondering how you sync the audio from Your mics and the video from the GoPro?? I’m looking to do the same podcast stuff. As much detail as possible please and thank you.

@@brandbsports no i ended up going a totally different route and using my iphone and a interface. But ive done some gopro footage and synching audio with my music stuff and i just slowly clap my hands 4 times and synch the audio and video with the claps in post.

@@keeganturner5040 With some claps and signals you can do it manually. But there is also a tool inside premiere pro, where you can sync video and audio automatically :) Made a video about that, if you are interested: ruclips.net/video/4REbc_84_B8/видео.html

I record audio externally with the Rode Pod mic to a H6N Zoom, then sync in an editing software like Premiere with the video.

You should try an external recorder for your dslr. It’s in my opinion, the best bypass of the 30min recording function.

What camera did you use to produce the video ?

good info here thanks for sharing! I have dabbled with so many different cameras for my podcast. currently I use a gh2 for my wide shot. It was given to me so its been a decent camera. I also have a canon g7x which I love except it only records half hour, so if I have a notable guest I'll try and keep that camera on the guest and try and remember to punch the record button every 20 min.

Your channel is cool why you don't upload content anymore?

Really interesting that the cheaper camera produced less grain!
In general, with enough light and right camera settings (low iso etc.) you can handle the grain the best i guess :)
Great video! Hope we can connect here on YT! 😎
