Neither a doctor nor a patient this just came across my feed and I had a look at it and I couldn’t stop watching this very interesting man and what he did with his life what a cool dude!
I’m a Junior in High School, and when I tell people that I want to be an oncology physician, they act confused, and often say stuff like “you want to watch all your patients die?” But I take that with a grain of salt. This is my dream career and I’m willing to do anything to achieve it.
No problem, glad it helped! One of my best friends is applying to oncology fellowship soon. It’s definitely a rewarding career I’m sure you’ll enjoy. Good luck!

Hello. Could you recommend a really good hematologist in long island, NY? My dad is having hard time keeping his platelets up due to an autoimmune disease and the large granular t cell leukemia. We also found out his spleen is slightly enlarge. He's now getting nplate once a week and Cyclophosphamide with steroids 2 times a day. Day 1 his platelets was under 2, Day 2 it went to 4,000 but dropped back down under 2 on Day 3. It seems this hematologist is giving up on my dad. 😔 I'm sure someone out there will try to find a way to help treat him. 🙏
Hello. I just recently came across my message sent 1 year ago. Unfortunately my father didn't make it and passed away Dec of 2020. I'm ok with it now and understand grieving takes time. Love you dad! 💞
