The only thing that was disgraceful was the fact that the GAA took so long to introduce a punishment more befitting of the severity of this particular type of infringement.
The referees are more at fault than Cavanagh. Any player in that position would've hoped they could do the same, but to not send him off afterwards was a disgrace
