I realized the other day when I was at Goodwill is that they have raised the prices so much that I could get things brand new at Marshall's or TJ Maxx for the same price and it will be NWT. Our TJ Maxx brings out new stuff on Tuesdays.

Yep, a TJ Maxx worker commented on another video and said the stores restock on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I have found this to be true because I find the best stuff those days or the day after those days. I'm also able to go in the morning so I snatch up a lot of good stuff. I buy for myself, not resale.
If we return after the 30 days we can get store credit. Typically they just put it back on the card even if it is over 30 days.I was just thinking of asking you if you knew when the summer clearance sale starts. A few months ago, I bought a lot of items there. Some sold and many didn’t. I returned at least 25-30 items. Since I took some tags off they had to lay them all out and match the tags one by one. So embarrassing. Not embarrassing enough to keep $400 of inventory. When my son was little, he was a terror shopping. I had to buy and try on at home. I returned often even back then.T.J.Maxx sent me a letter inquiring about my numerous returns and if there was a problem with the inventory. I took it as we are watching you. Hopefully they will not think much of it now since I have always done it. 🤞 Update is when your stores go yellow tag clearance. I hope you have a great vacation.
Jayne! Oh yes, I forgot to mention about getting store credit after the return! Thats a good one! Haha, funny enough I have a return sitting by my front door that is past 30 days lol. I should return that soon haha Good for you for returning the inventory! I bet they get that more than you think... but hopefully all goes well with it!
Im really bad about returning. I have never returned anything I feel like some of the stuff may sell in a different season or what ever the reason so I keep it. I mean some of that stuff is still sitting lol I would like to get a credit. Will they do online credit my TJ max is usually a dud I would prefer online credit.
BTW. After 30 day return window you can still return for store credit. Really no time limit on that. And online returns have a 40 day return window to get money back to your original payment method.

I've done retail arbitrage several times, but I always find myself sticking to item that are super marked down. I've only paid more than $40 for an item a few times, it makes me so nervous! TjMaxx, Marshalls, and Nordstrom Rack are all around my area, so I love any videos with tips on how to best source there! Have fun on your trips!
Nicolette, I couldnnt agree more! When I first started with retail arbitrage I started sourcing at TJMaxx and Marshalls first! It is a nice way to ease into retail arbitrage and the risk for paying up for items is less than if you were sourcing online. Luckily, with these stores you have a month to truly think about your investment which is a great benefit! Yay! I will definitely continue to make TJMaxx videos!
Most retailers have huge sales around the same timelines because they’re trying to move product and make their numbers. Especially around that January time frame since they’re closing out their numbers from the previous year. Great time to look at other retailers and see what kind of sales they’re running for retail arbitrage or for personal shopping.
@@LindsayNicolepm yes exactly! The way I like to think of it is they’re trying to clear out the previous weather season clothing items to make room for the new weather season clothing items. So right now retailers are trying to move spring and summer items like tanks, shorts, sandals that haven’t sold to make room for all the winter and fall items like jackets, boots, or heavier items the stores need space for. Hence why those 2 timelines match up for sales or clearance across the board for most big retailers.

Hi Helen! I actually haven't yet, but since I do go to TJMaxx pretty early and frequently I do see the salespeople scan for markdowns. I have always noticed they have done this on Wednesdays! But, of course, it is dependent on each location!
BIG NO to Skin care !! Why? skin products and makeup expire - I bought a good brand beauty product at TJ maxx and it was expired, my skin was on fire 🔥 and smelled funny… so something to keep in mind, you can really burn your skin.
Tjmaxx doesn’t tell you the exact dates so usually during that time I will go to Tjmaxx a bit more frequently! They do send out emails that week.. but it may not be on the first day! I don’t believe they send our early access emails to card holders. At least I’ve never noticed getting an early notice!
