I worked at TjMaxx and HomeGoods, and everything in this video is soooo accurate. During Holidays we would get trucks everyday that there was no place on the floor to put the incoming merchandise sometimes. And yes, always get it if you see it, it will def be gone. And if it’s not gone, then it must be fate for you to have it.
And yes, we do like talking with customers as long as you aren’t one of the crazy Rae Duun shoppers that are rude haha
I shop at THEM ALL. When I worked.. Homegoods IS MY FAVORITE! Love that Store!! For Organizing its AMAZING!! ALSO, For Vases..Glass Artwork!! AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL..BY Good Named Artists .. I'm usually not a digger,I become Overwhelmed Too easily However for this Store I TAKE My sweet time..Looking at Everything and The Clearance Items many packs of same but different sizes..WOW.. I do like Ross when it comes to sheets over 600ct for cheap prices.. I Love a cool Nice Quality bottom & Top set..at say a SWEET HIGH COUNT !! I Appreciate your info.. Any tips which one has the best prices and when.. ?? THANKS!! I Do miss have AMAZING Customers.. I was a Operation Manager in Banking for years.. Taught my tellers BE KIND..You never know how someone's day is going and that ONE KIND Word, a Smile may be just what they need.. to get a person who seems..angry to smile..Made my day..hugs 🙏🙏🙏❣

when is the best time for halloween goodies before they get switched for chrismas? is it early? close to the 31st? or just after? I'm not sure what the situation will be in october, but I missed getting my spooky stuff last year so much!

I worked at TJ Maxx for awhile too! This is one of the most accurate videos of how the store and markdowns work! I did almost nothing but markdowns at my store. I made great friends with customers too! Our store was a really fun place to work!

I try to be friendly everywhere I go, simply because I feel happier and people seem to appreciate a smile and a hello. I used to work for Marshall’s. Here’s another tip….
The markdowns are always done in the mornings before the store opens. They aren’t done everyday, so if you want to know when markdowns are happening, just ask! They’ll gladly tell you. Then you can show up in the morning on markdown days and get the best stuff. Also, some of the smaller stores only get daily shipments during the holidays, so ask what days their truck deliveries happen. They’ll tell you the days. They want stuff out the door, so don’t be afraid to ask. We used to have interior designers literally standing by the backroom door just waiting to see what new finds were coming out. It’s a win-win situation. Happy shopping!
That might be store specific because I used to work at TJ Maxx in the evenings and I did markdowns at that time.
This is all true! I use to work at TJ Maxx. Also, if you find something you like but it's not in your size, ask a cashier or manager to a call the nearby store(s) to see if they have it. If they do, they can put it on hold for you until the end of that day...and if you get the right employee, they'll hold it until the next day.

Consumerism , if you think they are cheap you are more likely to buy more and you’ll spend more. You’ll want to buy everything if you go there, my advice is to stay home buy what you need only not what you want!!!!! You’ll save money and space at home. Live simple take it easy ♥️
For sure always make friends w/store employees at every store you like to hunt in! Greet them, ask them how they are doing, and thank them when they help you. Tell them to have a nice day when you leave. After about a month, they will recognize you and happily give you tips on what is going to be stocked and when their trucks come in! Plus it is just a good thing to always be courteous to employees. Most are working hard, and it can be a thankless job.

My daughter is a designer in New York, and she told me that the designer labels at stores like tjmaxx home goods and Marshalls are actually manufactured for those stores. The materials are not the same tier you would find at the Brand's actual stores.
That being said, I still love to score great buys at these retailers!
Yes, I’d noticed that as well. I don’t buy “designer” goods at those stores. The fabric and sewing are a solid 50% lower.
Yep. If you look up the RN number on the garment you will see who made the item. But know going in that the what you find there won’t be the same thing you find at Macy’s.
Yes I have heard this but it’s not for all the brands, most of the designer items if from previous seasons from large department stores etc - I’ve heard that Ralph Lauren manufactures straight to outlet though

That’s true for many American designers like Michael Kors, Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. Most High end European designers don’t produce for outlets. If you see a designer item, go online and try to find it and then you can see what the fabric is and where it’s made.
My teenagers really love TJMaxx!! We found some really nice college (Ohio State) hoodies for $20!! Other stores they would be over $60! Official merch! Even scored a pair of jean shorts for my daughter for school for $5! Yellow tag, baby! It's are to-go store for back to school shopping!

I used to work at a Marshall’s and Homegoods superstore and I agree with all of the above!! I’m a cosmetics buff and I know for a fact that there are insane deals!!

They have great deals on perfumes and body care. Love to get my Dr Bronner’s here and hands down the best candles from here and Marshall’s. DW candles and others are my favorites! I prefer these over Bath and Body Works candles!

Yes, yes, and yes!!! I got so excited when I saw it was a Tjmaxx themed video! I’ve shopped there for years and always find crazy deals!
*QUICK DIY TIP* for those wooden trays at TJmaxx/Marshalls - make them into an *end table* for your bedroom/living room using furniture legs from amazon (I used black pin legs that were 4 for $18) and some E6000. Assembly only took like 5mins but the E6000 will need to dry for 36-72hrs.

I work for Burlington and although it isn’t apart of the sister store chain, it is SO similar! They get merchandise 5x a week and it’s just like Marshall’s & TJ Maxx!

Towels and bedding, high end skin care products, hosiery, kitchen wares, dishes, workout gear, and shoes are my favorite things to buy at Marshall’s, TJs and Home Goods stores. I love the gourmet food section!
TJ Maxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods are my absolute go-to favorite stores. I make a trip probably once a week just to look and I always come out with something I've been looking for or not even looking for
I love these stores so much. They have amazing deals. My favorites are clothes, shoes, and home.
This is the most accurate tjx tips video I've seen! I currently work at Marshalls ☺️And they now havr an online store. Opened just last year if I remember correctly.
Another thing is that although we get shipments everyday, not every store gets the same exact stock shipped in. So if an item is on sale at one store, it might not be on sale at the next store.

best time to shop is tuesday to Saturday night, some items have defaults, especially furniture, items are not always 100% perfect...best stuff, the art, mirrors, kitchen stuff, food, towels, sheets...etc...everything except the furniture, if you want to buy every year, furniture is okay. Winners,...clothes, wow, some holes, sizes misfit, check it out first.
I learned this in Economics 001 in college. Best way to save money: Not through sales, but by not spending the money. Every time you buy something, regardless of whether it's a markdown, you are spending money.

I got a king size quilt at TJMAX for $39!!! That was well over 15 years ago and I still have it!! It’s one of the thin but heavy quilt like my grandmother had!! I still love it!! And I got some REN cleanser( typically sold at like Sephora) for 70 cents!!! I bought all them!! Lol

It’s been a long time since my last trip to TJ maxx and this video made just wanna go ASAP!! ☺️☺️
Here in Savannah Georgia, I work at HomeGoods in receiving and we only get 4 trucks a week (5 during Christmas). It depends on the size and location of the stores. The older the store, the larger they are. New stores like the one 25 minutes away in Pooler only get 2 to 3 trucks a week. I also work at 6 a.m. so most of our stuff is put out earlier than noon. I'd say coming anytime after 1 is too late, especially for rae dunn stuff (the crazy dunners come line up outside before we open everyday). Also, we have dates on our tickets too, usually. Just yesterday a lady asked if the table she liked was going on sale. I looked at the date and we just got them in, so no. However, not all have those dates and just need to be scanned so it's best to ask in case we missed it doing markdowns.

My favorite store. I would rather go to TJ max than to the mall. Not only you can find a good quality clothing but also you can find a beautiful home decors, Bags and kitchen stuff.

I’ve been to TJ Maxx recently looking at stuff and I very rarely see things marked with yellow tags, I do see a lot of red tags on items in my store though 🤣
It’s rare when I find a yellow tag too but if you ask when they are doing mark downs (red or yellow) an employee can let you know, I use to work at a Marshall’s and we’d see people at the door before opening time early bird gets the work 😆
2 times a year, Jan and Aug.
We just had yellow tags at our store and got some great deals.
Yellow tags only happen twice a year. And they are only supposed to be on the floor for a limited time. After a few weeks they are MOOS and donated to charity. But occasionally a yellow ticket will slip through the cracks and get left behind. I used to do markdowns at TJ Maxx! Fun job!

One of the good things about t.j.x ( I worked there for 5 years) even those Yellow tags we still get our 10% off of the yellow price. I worked in every part of the store then ended up being a supervisor running the front end. After the whole covid thing is over I may go back I absolutely loved working there and loved my people/family I'm only out because of a health condition
I feel like anytime you see an ex-employee say something like this about a large corporation, it's a BIG compliment and tells me they clearly must treat their employees well. I don't think I have EVER seen a bad comment about TJ from an ex-employee.
