I have the real deal authentic torn jeans aggregated from hundreds of metal concerts, years of wash wear tear and active wearing. I kept them near perfect from staining..
Hey I got a question, the jeans I want to distress have two seams going down the middle of each leg, is there any way I can distress them as normal without the seams ripping apart?
I guess Antonio and Thomas have different opinions on this... I'm guessing this is Thomas. Oh yeah herpy derp, he introduces himself in the beginning. It is in fact Thomas, the ripped jeans look lover.
@@JohnFourtyTwo Depends on how you look at it I guess. The hippies did it by default, the punks did it on purpose. Malcolm McClaren was selling them pre-ripped in his London boutique about '77, which puts the fashion arriving in my neck of the woods about on time in '85 (took things longer to diffuse out back then). And I'd have to disagree with you that those folks didn't take pride in how they dressed, they took great pride and particular care of their look, it was just a different costume and style is all imo.
I tried doing this on a pair of jeans I messed up in a date with asphalt. However, they were stretchy with lots of elastic, and this technique does not work well on the fibers. 🤷
One time I was riding my bike and I fell onto the sidewalk. It cut two large holes at the knees, and a few smaller tears. At first I thought I ruined my jeans, but then I took a second look and I was like "Hey, this is in style" I had those ripped jeans for years
I've never understood this. When my jeans get holes and tears they either become cut off shorts or scrap Jean for sewing. Waste of good clothes destroying them like this.
Nop, if my jeans gets a rip it goes to the repair shop, otherwise they become shorts or go to textile recycling. Only time its appropriate is if you are a teen/early-20's going to a rock/punk concert, or gardening.

Definitely not a fan of ripped jeans or the "edgy crowd" who think they're stylish. When I was kid and my jeans started to rip, fray and couldn't be repaired, they became shorts and the cutoff legs became patch material. Now when I rip my jeans I use them for work clothes because I don't care if they get damaged but I'm definitely not going to ruin a brand new pair of jeans for an in-the-moment fashion trend.
