it took time but i had to do several bleaching lessons, since it was my first time i feel like i wouldve done it neater and better because i have more experience, but it took me several sessions, but i bleached it til a white, and i constantly toned with purple shampoo, after i bought ion's titanium hair dye and my hair was a very nice silverry blue toned color, ion works the best on the lightest hair i learned from experience, just a warning it takes time and lots of conditioning !

Great job! her hair turned out so great! I love pink & purple hair, and hers turned out amazing! and looked so good, the way u styled it, she didn't. even need the hair extentions!

guy! The pink band comes back because bleach opens up the cuticle and pulls out dye, which is how bleach works. With direct dyes it doesn't affect the direct dye sometimes which you know but just pulls it out of the cuticle and brings it to the surface.

Thanks for providing a zone of encouragement. It has supported making a change to the hairstyle that I have had, except for one cut while living in the humidity ringlet zone, since third grade. Next I will check if you provide a line of temporary colors, like those chalk thingies.

Is it possible that the dye reappears because the bleach opens and draws out molecules of pigment that were embedded deeper in the hair to the point that they could not be seen?
Bleach doesn't remove color. It pushes it farther into the hair shaft. I learned it from another you tuber. That is why it comes back. Just being helpful :)

Tyler Long I'm a hairstylist and I can tell you exactly why it does that. It's actually the developer in the bleach reactivating leftover dye molecules. Bleach doesn't push color into your hair shaft, the developer does. Developer is an activator. It activates whatever it's mixed with. Developer mixed with bleach will open the cuticle and lift the underlying color. Developer mixed with color will open the cuticle and deposit new color into the cortex. The reason her hair turned pink is because it probably wasn't completely removed, it just wasn't visible. The bleach is lifting what's left of the pink.

+Barbara It depends on the cut you want to make and how much you cut. If you cut very much and the hair goes much shorter you cuts first. If not you do it the other way.
Almost always I cut before I color, it's like building a house before you paint it
