I really like the abstraction of this painting. At the start I saw mountain and a night sky. You completely transformed the piece

Oh Karen , there is no end to your talents 😊 this video was absolutely full of fun techniques, tips and information on different mediums. But I have to say your control of the paint and the water to achieve this result is phenomenal 💕

You are an amazing artist, Karen with such a wonderful eye for colour and composition and I love your teaching style. Thank you for sharing your expertise with me. I am a beginner and I know when I try this it won't look great but as you said it all comes down to practice and I refuse to give up. Someone once said that 'comparison is the death of joy' so I will try to note the pleasing parts when I paint my abstract and learn from the not so pleasing parts 💗

Oh hurray! This was SO interesting to watch. I love that you stopped at three stages to show how you could think of stopping at any one of them. I LOVED the orange added around 12:50 or 13:00 and then the pale violet. Love it at 15:26! It is also very interesting seeing the larger brushes etc. Also some of the challenges of scaling up some of the original texture techniques and what you did about that. The original mini was the inspiration but exact reproduction isn't going to happen so we got to see your artistic thinking taking the new "what is" and doing a new thing with it. Thanks so much! What a great encouragement to experiment. So much to learn from every stage.
