The young lady playing the wife is Sarah Marshall her father was a famous actor and a war hero. She comes from a long line of famous British actors and writers. She is related to Mary Shelley who wrote Frankenstein for example.
This was actually the penultimate (next to last) episode, but given the storyline here, it would have better served as the series finale. I do like the original opening theme being played - these are cut off because there is an announcer who says "The Donna Reed Show" as the theme ends. In syndication, they used the closing theme as the opening theme.
I can see where this should have been the last episode broadcast. Paul Petersen should have had the last line, which would go something like this: "Well here we are in the same old house, stuck in sitcom land forever."
Trisha looks so much like her adopted brother, Jeff. Perhaps she was Alex’s illegitimate daughter from a secret affair! And he schemed to present her as an orphan the family needed to adopt.
Thank you for bringing this show back. I Love it!

So cool of you for using penultimate correctly. Many think it means the last or final. I wish I could hear the original with the announcer
Why didn't Alex and Donna just tell the guy to buzz off, the house wasn't for sale?
Colorization was 1964. We’re the last two years in color? I loved this show as a pre teen

I could see Carl Betz playing Captain Kirk on Star .trek. The togetherness pit will be a trend if the future. 😂
Sarah Marshall who played Amanda on this episode would guest star on Star Trek in the episode "The Deadly Years."
or Superman
Oooo Carl Betz would have made a great Captain Kirk :D
Why has no one showed the last three seasons ? They always only show up until the season where Tricia joins the Stone family.
1:07 Mullenger was Donna Reed's real last name 👀
And she was born in Denison, Iowa in real life too.
Donna should not be letting strangers into her house just because they claim to have lived there before. NOT GOOD, Donna.
She didn't tell her till she was already IN the house. Kind of barged in on her.
I have Premium so why am I seeibg commmercials before this?

That guy was an injured Lt Colonel on M*A*S*H who put his men in jeopardy, just so he could retire with a medal and be a full bird Colonel.
Frank Maxwell. He also played hospital administrator Dan Rooney on General Hospital for many years.
Swimming pool less
This is a completely different show from how it started out in 1958. The writing is so bad and you can tell that Dona Reed was over the whole thing.
