Haters gonna hate, fuck’em. I’d love to see them try and craft something with such broad appeal. Also like “Whatever” almost same chords without the capo.
Possibly the most iconic strumming pattern ever, and often played very badly by so called musicians and Utubers! Noel very underrated guitar player, especially when he plays acoustically he is excellent, hence this being one of the most Iconic tunes ever, I dont know anyone who hates it!
@@MusicMongoose people listening first or even 3rd time. Some of use need a break from songs every so often. For me, as an Oasis fan since 94, it was Don't Look Back In Anger I needed a break from because it was played every 5 mins on UK radio in the 90's - but then you "rediscover" the song
I would like to know if Wonderwall is such a simplistic tune, why can't other bands replicate it? It's a song with a few chords. Do we measure the strength of a song or a tune by a chords structure or how we hear it? I'm no Wonderwall fa, by the way, Oasis have Don't Look Back In Anger, Live Forever and the Masterplan. So if Wonderwall is what you think, try it yourself in a different arrangement. It's easy, apparently 😅😅😅😅
I don't hate the song, I hate the people singing it. Oh my God the nasality of whoever sings the song is just annoying. All that band ever does is fight. i'm not sure why they were even in the band. If you can't learn to get along with each other you probably shouldn't be in a band especially if you're two brothers that all you ever do is fight.
Was Mike Flowers Pops version mentioned, which didn't do any favours for its coolness and also increased number of plays as it got to number 1 in the UK?
@@MusicMongoose funny!! No. And the stats prove that. Plus if you're talking about that terrible movie, there was another 90s song that was better in it
I was a teenager in the mid 90s and I hated it then and I hate it now. Oasis have certainly written worse songs though, to be fair it's better than probably half of Definitely Maybe which has got some proper stinkers in it.
I might be putting my head in the guillotine for saying this. . . . but I only just recently listened to "Definitely Maybe" and after the second time listening to it I still don't get it. Jesus and Mary Chain, Blur and Pulp all have better albums. I would never call REM a rock band yet they have heavier guitar driven songs. The Album just doesn't sound like rock to me, it sounds like indie pop with way too many effects saturating everything into a horribly bland sonic mass of meh and whinge.
Do you love or loathe Wonderwall?
I'm an oasis fan and it's the first song I heard (obviously can't avoid it) so it holds a special place for me
Love it absolutely, it's a masterpiece
But not my top 5 Oasis songs
The original recording is stunning, but i dont think thats what people recall when remembering it, to many covers and bad live versions from oasis
Love it.
That’s my favourite songs. I won’t stop listening to it.
I unironically love Wonderwall (and Don’t Look Back in Anger). They’re immaculately written pop songs.
Don’t look back in anger is a perfect song for me - wonderwall can take it or leave it
Ok, how do you 'ironically love' something?

Music snobs cant stand the success of Oasis 😂😂😂😂
Full disclosure: I love Oasis

The tree with most fruits gets stoned the most
what do you mean it gets stoned?? - that does not make any sense
More like the most disesased tree gets carved into the most
I basically use Wonderwall as a warm up for guitar.
I learnt it in 30 seconds
@@rachelar So do a lot of people and they also play it wrong, which is a crying shame, greatest acoustic riff ever!
People like playing Wonderwall because it feels like magic
Probably why it's at a billion streams on Spotify. Popular songs always annoy but hated? Strange video
It’s over 2 billion now

I loved Wonderwall when I was a teen but now I prefer Champagne Supernova or Supersonic. I still have to listen to all their other songs.

@ChicaLocaGB seems to be an eternal Blur fan... Am I wrong? Which is Blur's most hated song? 🤓
@@MerimirinI thought my remark was fairly objective. i do prefer Blur though I've always hated Song 2 (I think I'd be in a minority with that choice)
@@ChicaLocaGB It would be my choice too! I'm going to study this phenomenon in depth. Most popular tunes are the most hated... Why? 🧐
It's the greatest 90s song ever!! No argument there, so don't even try it!!
What about Barbie Girl by Aqua?

Why doesn't this channel's videos include clips of the actual recordings being discussed? Most everyone else does it, under Fair Use, no?
Yes, it would be classed as fair use but RUclips’s copyright robots don’t automatically know that. So it’s not worth risking demonitisation
0:01 no it used to be like that when it came out and a few years after because it was constantly played

Yeah, and everyone hates Bohemian Rhapsody, Dancing Queen, and Hey Jude too 🙄
True
Everyone loves Bohemian Rhapsody
ABBA can actually sing unlike the Beatles and oasis
@@Bradley-nn8it LOOOOLLLL!!!!

When was the voting for this most hated song rubbish?
It's a drone
Lyrics are inane and vocals are frightlfully whiny and nasal. That's why people hate it.
The reason why I bought a guitar was Wonderwall. But 3 and a half years later, I'm still learning the strumming pattern.😂
Really!?😂
@@MusicMongoose Unfortunately, yes. Actually I don’t practise much.
Wonderwall is boring. I hated it the first time I heard it.
Same. It’s trash and it will never not be trash no matter how many plays it gets.
