Love this video❤
This is exactly what I was looking for - thanks so much for making this and you guys are awesome 👍
Can't wait to try this out on the court tomorrow.
A good video that almost nobody on youtube does is some tactics and shot selection and patterns of play, theres almost nothing on that on youtube. What kind of shot(s) are best in certain situations, how to build points, patterns of serve + shots after serve, patterns of play to open the court and finish points etc... it would be great if you guys did something like that!
Good idea! Will put it on the list.
Wait, I literally just asked a question regarding this topic on another tennis channel, just yesterday.
This is unreal timing...
We can play tennis and read minds! :)
Damn this channel really knows what lessons and info i need
Thanks!
Great tips!! The high backhand technique was shown but I was a bit disappointed that they didn’t show the high forehand technique as I struggle with that more than the high backhand!
Can you do a video on a fitness program for a beginner tennis player? Please include a weekly running program to play rallies without getting tired.
Great stuff, would have loved to see an example with the OHBH
Yes, understood! Hope to do that in the future.
Good video. Good instructors🎾
Thanks!
The hardest shot is the one that is a deep loopy topspin falling fast and you are not in position to hit the drive volley. To catch it on the rise is nearly impossible because its rising so fast and nearly straight up. In those case, I jump up to the point where it’s rise is slower and then I do a backhand overhead swing which forces the ball downward. This works most the times but really depends on if the rise slows down enough at the peak of my jump. It’s not possible to backup because you would need to be behind the fence to hit ball. What would you recommend for these types of balls?
No 1HBH 😕. Still good content!!! Keep up the good work
@RacquetFlex made a good video on high 1hbh not too long ago
@@sleazybukkake Cool!
Thanks a lot! Yes, hope to tackle the one-hander in a later video.
wish I could see the forehand highball in slowmotion explaining how the control the ball after the impact. I never get that kind of speed and too much spin.
So which racquet is your new " go to " racquet for tourneys? Blade, gravity , or pure strike ????
If not mistaken he said before gravity pro is his "go to" racquet if no other racquet works. Nice reliable racquet that performs well at everything
Will review the new Blade, Pure Strike, Tecnfibre TF40 and Yonex VCORE Pro 97 HD before I make up my mind!
What rackets are they using ?
What strings are those? the orange ones, they look amazing!! I can't find any orange strings, please help!
Try Volkl Cyclone or Signum Pro. Both come in orange, perform great and are well priced. My vote would go to Volkl Cyclone between the 2.
Wilson revolve spin (1.25)
Still.. it require lot of technique.. not so easy for a beginner because in a match you can add the spin in the bounce too.
A good footwork will always do the work instead.
That's not moon ball, 20 feet with heavy topspin down the line, how to handle it?
And using back?
HOw do I get that T shirt?
You can buy it on Tennisnerd.net :)
Location of academy
We are not an actual Academy but do some RUclips videos together for fun. Location: Malta.
What rackets are those?
Nik: Yonex Ezone 98, Vijay: Yonex VCORE Duel G 97 310, Jonas: Prince Textreme Tour 100 310.
The second guy talks in indian accent or spanish ?
I just run up and smash it because I'm 5'4.
That is a neat solution!
Yes, it's all fun and games until someone hits a loopy topspin shot to your one handed backhand...
That's where a good slice comes into place...
@@92energie That helps, but you will remain on the defensive all the time, just like all the Federer Nadal matches on clay :)
@@bluesbunny121 Well, ok nadal and fed is a whole other level... lol i'm talking more about amateur players not pros.... a good slice with depth on the backhand can deal with any top spin or moonballer...
Thank goodness I use two handed backhand. Watch how Nalbandian destroy those topspin monster with his killer backhand
@R/Y don't keep slicing and get pushed into defense and lose majority of the points. Take control of the point and kill the monster topspin like Nalbandian for 2handed backhand or Wawrinka for 1handed backhand
solution........ take your baseball bat with you to the match.
Too much talking...
No one is a one hander here?
Too much talk
Lol, 2 indian dudes showing how to hit a moonball with no topspin falling on the service line. Just give me a break. That really doesn't require much skill.
Show us how to hit a moonball with a ton of spin dropping on a base line, please.
Lol that's essentially what they were doing at the end of the video while they rallied. Obviously, the amount of spin while feeding the ball is very less when compared to while rallying and hitting topspin shots! They were explaining the main techniques for us through feeding the ball.
And also, the video talks about high balls. A ball landing near the baseline won't be a high ball unless you are standing very far. If you are standing far, the techniques mentioned here will help. If not, you are not going to be dealing with high balls. You will most likely playing them at hip level or even taking the ball a little early, on the rise, similar to the drill they show.
And the fact that they are of Indian descent has no relation to anything here, so funny you mentioned it.
@@5ammy13 Do you even play tennis? You don't seem to know what high ball means. High ball is not ball that is flying high through the air, but the ball that bounces high off the ground. Ball doesn't have to fly very high through the air to bounce high (example a ball with a lot of top spin) or can fly quite high through the air and still bounce quite low (a defensive slice).
High short balls with not much spin (exactly the ones they show in this video) are much more efficiently finished with a drive volley. Running to the service line to hit a rising ball is not very efficient and as anyone can actually see in this video more than half of the balls they try to hit on the rise end up pretty long and that's a training session. In a match they wouldn't even mange to put one out of three in the court.
And sorry but saying one should play high spin balls landing around the base line on the rise before they reach hip level shows how clueless about the tennis you are. Not even Djokovic (that is arguably the best guy at hitting balls on the rise ever) can hit high spin balls landing at the base line on the rise and you think a recreational play should do it? Gee...
@@perakojot6524 yes I do play tennis. And what I'm saying is that they do demonstrate high bouncing balls during the rally where the balls are hit with top spin. Also the video title says they are demonstrating moonballer medicine. Moonballers do float the ball up. I agree with you that probably rushing to the ball on a moonball as they demonstrate isn't such a good option, but the ball does bounce to an uncomfortable height just over shoulder level. Especially on clay where the ball gets a little more bounce, these techniques can be used. They explained what they sought out to explain. And it may be easy for you or me but as a beginner, hitting balls like that isn't such a simple task.
