    Glad to see these with commentary. Sorry again if i ripped the fights out of order. The media 8 dvd wasn't clear when a round of the tournament started and stopped so i just grabbed all your fights. osu. I never want to take those low kicks by god they look painful.

    Wow! So cool to hear your comments about this tournament! Man, watch you kicking like that makes it look so easy! You did great! 👊🏻😁 The famous and venomous "brazilian kick". I lost the count about how many times I also got slapped in the face by this same kick haha 😄 I practice Karate at the same dojo where Shihan Francisco Filho used to train with Shihan Isobe. It's simply amazing learn Karate there!

    you really can bring the experiences of the past back to life, with great expression of affection and pleasure for everything you've done, I think that when you train with a great man, that man can bring out the best we have inside, it seems that all the good we have comes to the surface and we savor each day as it is meant to be savored.

      @@TheTokyoShow Thanks for the advice Nicholas, I'll keep that in mind. I'd like to ask a few more questions if you don't mind. The first one is, do you have a kyokushin karate dojo in Japan? I'd love to learn from someone like you. The second question is, how would you recommend to fight someone who's an expert on fighting on the ground, in case you're a kyokushin fighter without any kind of knowledge of ground-fighting?
      Thanks.

    Awesome as usual to have you give us the insight on how it felt through your eyes. By any chance, could you do another with your 1995 European Heavyweight Championship in Bucharest? I admire your eyes back then. They were hard to impress it looks like :-) One thing I note though. Every single time you get an illegal punch/ kick you totally rely on the judge and the stop of the match. I mean the real spirit or in real budo you NEVER turn your back to your opponent. That is at least what I have been tought/ felt during my stays! :-) Please keep up the good work and of course to feel free to comment. What is your take on the budo vs sports karate? Or tournaments vs. the street? Best regards from Denmark

    • @TheTokyoShow
      @TheTokyoShow  2 года назад

      when you have 4 corner judges and one main referee it's a sport. and there are ways to manipulate the judges for sure. I played this sport fairly well. Not the best in the world but I did knock out all my opponents in Europe to claim the Heavy weight title, its a different game in Japan with all japanese judges, unfortunately this is true to this day so as a fighter you simply try to play the sport as well you can and hope for the best.
