Fantastic, honeat review. I just got one of these and was curious to see what others thought about it. I did get the taller of the two, which seems to work well for me. I'm just at 6'0, and I find it's plenty comfortable. I sat on the floor in Cabelas and tried them both out as a rough fit. Haha I will say as far as the noise factor is concerned, there is a little from the sliding action, which im sure can be mitigated with a little lube - just don't use something too smelly. Also, if you are extended and decide to lower the stick's height, try to take some of the weight off first. Otherwise, you will get a somewhat loud click as the cam releases and catches again. Every noise in the hinting woods always sounds 10 times louder. Ive found there are extra bases available to mount say a clamp or camera/optic. And last, you can also wedge this against your hip while standing to give you a steady platform to use while moving (shold you need to reposition in a hurry).
I was really in between which to buy for this Turkey season. So as crude as it sounds I measure a stick and broke it off at 30” and sat down and pretended to be hunting and found that with me sitting on the ground even at 6’5” it’s more than tall enough for ground sitting which is the only way I Turkey hunt. Hope this helps any tall guys decide on which to buy.
i suffer from severe anxiety/adhd and can't steady my aim worth shit...tried a monopol - wasn't steady enough... so, i realized i had 2 choices: the primo tripod or the deathgrip... i wanted more mobility to seek out prey so i picked up the tripod...works great but i am leery about durability because it only works if the seals hold... really helps with stability (i can't hit dead center but my grouping center does) there are 2 things i am surprised about: 1> lack of other options...there is very little in the way of effective trigger sticks in this market 2> the price - but when you kinda corner the market, you can charge what you want...but, c'mon, 250 canadian is frickin steep...
I’ve used the BOG Field Pod, too, and it works great if you’re stationary. We have the death grip but haven’t tested it yet. I’m glad you’ve found a pretty good solution for you. They aren’t cheap, though. You’re right about that.
If you want to lookup another great hunting piece i use its called a kifaru gun bearer. It was a game changer for me since im disabled. Works awesome and if you have 2 you can carry 2 rifles .22, 308 hands free! Shoot a grouse then shoot a deer all in one hunt. Just be smart about not having it loaded in the chamber while walking to your huntin site.

Mono is the way to go . I’ve guided using doubles and triples and when things happen fast
We always end up using them as a mono anyways
Oh! I bet!
Have you tried the Cuddeback solid aim? I'd love to hear your comments on that one. I'm thinking of getting one myself.
I haven’t! I’ll have to check it out. If you get one, come back and let us know your thoughts.

I haven’t used those. I’ve had mine a couple of years, and it’s still holding up.

❤️❤️❤️
I hit the trigger on one of these at Walmart and the bottom section flew off.
That’s not ideal - thankfully never happened to me!
Get the Primos Gen 3 Tripod, far more stable!
I haven’t tried the tripod. Seems like a lot to carry for turkey season. 🤔
@@ReviewThisThing They're super light, very easy to carry and ultra stable. We don't have wild turkeys in the UK lol but plenty of rabbits and foxes.
👍🏻👍🏻 nice!!!
Lookup wiser precision. I use it with my walking sticks
I’ll have to do that!
That looks pretty dang sweet.
@@ReviewThisThing Thought you would like it. You can do more than what it shows with it, that i found out playing with it.

Wow. What a difference 2.5 years makes!

I haven’t had to deal with their customer service. I hate hearing that.
