It's so satisfying to see a cold engine start. 😁
There's something about it! LOL
A few weeks ago my dad's old turbo diesel Jeep didn't want to start and we connected it with cables...
I'm so glad I take the video of that so I can see this again! LOL
No smoke no party ! Diesel never dies ! Diesel is Power
That 1st vehicle sounds like a boss. I like that sound
Good because those are cheapest ones... the dying ones
Movidi Vivek vardhan Rao vgvvc
5.9 the one in my log loader does same thing.. it revs clear out when it starts.. dumb design tho..
Love the coldstart of our very old clarck forklift with 2.8 liter cummins diesel. It Always starts and never fails. No need to preheat, because it would cause a flame in the manifold, just pull the starterhandle and that big old lucas starterengine will crank this old baby on without any problem.
I love the sound of the motor turning over
i guess I am kinda randomly asking but does anybody know of a good website to stream newly released series online ?
@@izaiahralph2774 I don’t really know to be honest
@Izaiah Ralph I would suggest FlixZone. You can find it on google =)
anyone notice its a VW Diesel helping a Dodge to startup in in the cold ;)
something for you to think about.
Good Starting
in this cold weather
And i am here watching these cold videos in 50 degree Celsius temp.

I love cold diesel starts almost as much as I love this channel.
really!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang we love you.
That's a strong battery
😎
if you roll your glow plugs three times it makes it a hell of a lot easier, I got a 90 7.3 f350 and it'll start the first 15 seconds of starter even in -10, you can even get a heating pad on each side of the block to help save the rings on cold starts.
jay-H,Sui Juris hey that’s exactly what I did in my dad’s 7.3 in the mornings. I think our glow plugs might be weak or something because it struggles in Arizona during the winter, not nearly as cold as wherever you live but it definitely helps it start.
Mine would start in the negatives to.. cycle glow plugs 2 or three times then shed start..never use either in something with glow plugs burns them right up.. will start hard from then on out no matter how many times you cycle it
Euro 6 emissions pass
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That turbo sound at 1:00
it wasnt sign of bad turbo condition?
@@semonem123 No that's just his loud exhaust that makes the turbo that loud. I'm sure he also has the silencer ring removed.
I have a 5.9 in my loader. Sounds just like that. Just have bout a 3 foot straight stack on it tho..
And here in Zambia year round you can drive off in just a second..
Then you imagine how hectic it can get before you begin to enjoy the comfort of your car...
Luck me💃💃💃💃💃💃

My Personal favorit CUMMINS DIESEL 🇺🇲
This is where the starter motor has more miles than the engine.
Good Glow Plugs in every cylinder & Good Relay - very important. ..
Very helpful. You can start them otherwise, like the train, but it takes a lot longer and causes a lot more wear on the starter.
And good oil
Wow that's awesome these trucks sitting there long time cold winter heater on inside feels good good job friend bless you
Super place loved it
The first one kind of sounds like a train.
By the time the first one started, I'd have got in the Prius, got to where I was going, and got back again! :D
and had no fun
These guys must like R&R starters and head gaskets. I will give you two of my secrets for starting cold Diesel engines and before I start I would like to stress be careful using flammable liquids and flashbacks even in cold weather. first thing you never use starting fluid in a Diesel engine. Second I use WD40 or some type of spray penetrating oil ; I like WD40 and the type of flame off it gives and what you do is get access to the intake system right at the engine down stream of the air cleaner as you crank the motor you spray WD40 into the engine as needed be careful hear people tend to overdose with fluid ; it doesn’t take a lot and you do not want to hydraulic the engine and they will light off every time . Another way is you can pour a little diesel fuel into the intake manifold about 1 oz max and light it on fire let it burn for a few seconds inside the intake manifold then crank the motor but again you do not want to hydraulic the engine or start some type of external fire hazard , I can not stress this enough be careful . If I had my own diesel with a lot of cold starts staring me in the face I would set up the engine intake system with some type of access port built into the intake like a o-ring plug to accomplish this issue, and save a lot of time. Again I cannot stress enough about taking great care in cold Diesel engine start ups you can do great harm to the engine and yourself if you do it wrong be careful when using any type of external method during this procedure. And have a fire extinguisher and procedures in place and ready to go if something goes wrong.
dude just shut up
To hell with all that nonsense. I've owned diesels since the 1990s in the UK. They all start with less than a seconds cranking in any weather because GLOWPLUGS.
7:30 old dog working)
All of the vehicles wasted a whole ton of gas. The ones that are for work, you don’t have a choice. Btw I love those sounds. They are pretty cool.
These are Diesel not gas
Hey rock auto can I get 10 starters delivered for this winter!!! Common sense ain't common enough.....

And they all are say that Asia has full responsible for air pollution
Hi man I also live in Asia but I thinks asia will produce a decent amount of air pollution and sound polution
America’s population is around 250mil, and I’d say around only 50mil operate heavy diesel machinery or have heavy duty diesel trucks likes these compared to Asia’s few billion people population and on top of that Asia is where other countries source they’re goods from, with that in mind the amount of pollution we push out as country is nothing compared to the entire content of Asia which produces manufactured goods for pretty much everywhere.
Do you know diesel is MORE cleaner than you basic gasoline engines?
@@hhds113 while burning a diesel engine it will produce co, the petrol burning produce co2 so do you think 🤔 carbon monoxide (co) is not harmfull?????
@@bharath5438 Just look it up.
diesél engines are great for the environment
Где вы увидели холодный запуск ????? Это летний, холодный вам даже не снился
Да там просто у половины двигателей нет или не работают свечи накала и прочие подогревающие системы.
DigiMakc они не знают, что это такое!
Smoke&Charm!!!
I thinm the thinner oil in winter is a must seems like it cant turnover
Yeah, my car recommended 5W30 for cold climates and 10W30 for normal, so i went with 5W30.
Why all of these machines have rhythm when trying to start, they make some beat hahah
This is why they invented block heaters.....
This is how you burn your starter
And most likelly the boosting car alternator, because the engine was most likelly turning...
Gerardo Lopez no kidding
More like just plug your truck in... ha
Not if you have silicone paste
@@chriseasley9776 what?
0:00-1:10 rip earth
Tia T yeah it’s some great polution
bs that pollutes less than a gas engine and way less than nasty batteries
and by earth if you meant starter solenoid yes I agree..that carbon is just going to fall back down to earth..do some basic research
Yep it is going to fall back down to earth... you’re right, but after how many years?
@@mattiatufano749 oh i dont have an exact time frame but compared to the emissions that come from gas vehicles it is way less...gas vehicles emissions goes up to the ozone layer where as diesel is mainly ground level ozone that isnt as bad..same thing with all of these electric cars well when that battery goes bad it has to be disposed of somewhere
Ok so its not just my 5.9 then that starts alittle hard
It's like it's a surprise to every US diesel manufacturer that cold weather is a problem. Everywhere else in the world learned in 1950 that GLOWPLUGS solve this issue.
One thing to help would be quit running 15w 40 oil in the winter and run 5w 40 oil.

Same old Diesel for 50 years and on it's 14th starter.
Beautiful
if you live where it's minus 20 at night, just lift your hood and drop a blanket over the engine before it goes cold. get up in the morning, lift your hood, take the blanket off, the thing will start without any fuss the following day. use your brain, if you have one.

Something about dual smoke stacks
Means you have a small penis
Hey there it's weird, but I like it.
These truck alone is responsible for all climate problems
I love diesel
If you are in a royal pickle. Build a small fire under the oil pan
This is a video where the starter har more miles than the engine.
This is ridiculously damaging the environment, why aren't these vehicles allowed to be on the road😡😡😭😭
@Todd Hoskins
Which is worse for environment Prius or diesel engines with big smoke???

That first video with the blue truck,
Took 1min. and 10 secs. to start,
And smoke out like it was its last.
I like the sound and the start of the one dually on min. 2:55. I like it 👍.
Please excuse the ignorance of a life-long Texan, but Isn't that what engine block heaters are for?
That's just how them dodges start. I think the vw is there to tow it when the tranny gives out again.
You realize this is bad for the engine right? Because there’s no oil pressure, so the engine is cycling dry
Doesn't the oil pump work even when you're just cranking it though? My car gets to sufficient oil pressure almost immediately when i crank it.
Topias Salakka what do you have
Topias Salakka and how much pressure are you getting?
@@JacobEcret Mazda 323F, dunno exact oil pressure since it doesn't have a gauge, but the oil pressure light is off so i'm assuming it's sufficient.
Topias Salakka it’s getting plenty of oil pressure. Some people believe in firing over engines particularly tractors with stopper pulled. This is so it can prime itself
RIP environment
Don't they have glow plugs? None of these starts wait for them
Or a block heater?
Starting fluid works.
The best two are the old snow covered no-bed duelly and the very last video of the d train yard rigger. The rest....you see every day.
michael danner do you know what’s this white smoke?
Water condensation. Happens when its cold out, doesnt need to be snowy
@@jaarryifleshblood315 before the engine actually begins firing, it's unburnt diesel fuel.
Kaulin Curtis so basically hydrocarbon emissions
@@jaarryifleshblood315 a very small amount, but yes. This only happens when it's really cold out. All engines emit hydrocarbons though, it's kinda what they run off of.
I can start my gas truck up with no problem in the winter keep your diesel.

Replace the Spark plugs
Rob Carstuff Diesel engines dont rely on spark plugs to run
It's a joke man😐😐😐
Rob carstuff diesel engines have fuel injectors not spark plugs
GLOW PLUGS.
Rob Carstuff Diesel engines uses glow plugs
I love how people don't understand that most of the so call "pollution" is un-burnt fuel and carbon that will later settle back to Earth and have no effect on the ozone layer. Your Tesla batteries are far more harmful than these engines, especially if they are charged by coal fired power facility.
🤔
You gottem thinking now.. but yep i agree..
