These shower suction cup organizers never work no matter how smooth the surface. MAYBE on glass, never tried that. After a couple days max, you'll hear a crash (usually in the middle of the night) and all your stuff will be in the tub or floor of the shower...even with very little weight on them. Mounting on glass would probably extend the time before the crash. Mr. Von Panda, fess up, you wasted your money didn't you? Either that or you are re-sticking the suction cups daily. Please advise. Inquiring minds want to know.

Clear aquarium hose cut to length and razorblade slit down one side should permanently wrap around your metal bumpers and protect your tile.

Will it work on painted tile
Its not a permanent installation. Will fall off wall eventually. I have two of these and eventually suction fails.
