    Hi, I just got this light from B&H and found your tutorial about it. It's so cool that you are a big fan of "Twister!" Every once in awhile I think about when I saw the first "trailer" for it about 6 months before it came out. All it was was pitch blackness--and then a very loud, sudden scary sound that shook the theatre and startled everyone in the audience. Then on the screen it said, "Twister. Coming this summer." (Or whenever it was that it was scheduled to be released about 6 months later.) Such a great, memorable trailer that only lasted about 30-60 seconds!

    Thanks for this nice overview of the new P60 panels. I’ve already ordered a single P60c and a 3 light P60c kit. Thanks for highlighting the fact that the included light stand adapter is not the worlds greatest. I’m also not keen about the fact that the D-TAP cable is not included. These panels are as close to a larger MC that I’m going to get and that satisfies me greatly. But Ok, I’m guessing you’re a little envious of me because my trucking career regularly has brought me through the great expanses of Kansas and Oklahoma. Which is where Twister is set I believe if I can remember correctly. This also reminds me of the Bazaar Cattle Pens in the state of Kansas, a desolate patch of land where during the spring and summer there is just endless rolling hills of green. I’ll have to remember to stop by the rest area sometime in the future and record a couple videos with just a great expanse of green behind me as the setting.

    • @impatrickt
      @impatrickt  2 года назад +2

      nah im not interested in 60w COB's. I prefer the versatility of a panel if it's going to be low watt like that. way less footprint required + easier to setup and move around.

    After learning about the price, I wonder if these lights could be used as a backpack-portable solution for key lights - there was nothing about their weight. I still wonder if it's possible to find a light that wouldn't kill my back with everything like lightstand or umbrella AND could work for both photo and video, maybe not in (bright) daylight, but still good enough for quick movements.

    • @impatrickt
      @impatrickt  2 года назад +1

      yeah i think for sure - CVP did some interview setups and they look great. i would bring an extra layer of cloth diffusion with you to pin on the soft box and then you’re golden.

I was looking at 400W lights but in your video you are talking about 60W. I'm a bit confused that you say that 60W gives loads of light - is 400W way too much? Oh, by the way I've ordered my Rode NTUSB on your recommendation! Thanks!!

    Isnt the output too low? I was looking into this, but If you are blasting a 300D into a softbox at 100% power, this thing prolly doesnt have enough power to create a backlight or does it? Cant find any comparisons yet. But I need the light to be practical at F4, and no crazy +1600 iso.

    • @impatrickt
      @impatrickt  2 года назад

      I’ve never had to blast a 300w at 100% so I’m not the right person to ask. I’ve coupled this with a 300w but most I ever push them in daylight is 40-50%.

    • @impatrickt

      not much competition for a 60w panel. there's a lot of COB style 60W lights but not RGB. you could maybe compare them to Nanlite tubes.
