    Warner's biggest mistake was giving the sandpaper to Bancroft. He should've done it himself. I'm sure he's a far more proficient cheater.

    Had there been Indian, Pakistani cricketers at this very moment, they would have been cheating their nations too. but these Aussies have not chosen escape instead they are facing it, getting insulted, being punished, showing shamefulness. I believe that they made mistake & they have been punished, just don't embarrass them infront of their families, especially little kids.

    Sorry to say, crying because you have been found out cheating makes you look pathetic. Can you imagine Alan Border or Mark Taylor doing this? They were genuine hardmen who played the game tough, but fair. Warner is an arrogant, nasty little shit, a proven cheat, totally full of bravado and now full of regret because he has been caught out. He's cares about how this affects him, nothing else. Warner fucks up time and time again. He's an incredibly talented batsman, but he's a liability. Despite his obvious talent, the game really doesn't need him. Move on Warner....

    • @JamesDeWeaver
      @JamesDeWeaver  6 лет назад

      +Wally Bazoom - I remember when Kim Hughes who was the Australian Cricket Captain from '79-'84 cried at his final Press conference and he was mocked and made fun of for MANY years, actually he never really lived that down as the media constantly reminded him of his weakness in showing emotions, only in time did it leave the memories of MANY Aussies but he was always considered a weak man for doing so, how times have changed.

    • @wallybazoom8976
      @wallybazoom8976 6 лет назад

      I think it depends why you're crying. If you're crying because your mate died (ie - Michael Clarke at Phil Hughes' funeral) you deserve nothing but sympathy.
      If you're crying because you've been caught out cheating, you've got a lot of bridges to build before anyone should feel sorry for you.

    Lehmann resigning immediately and Starc out of 4th test and IPL due to injury ( not sure how true) .. are one way Cricket Australia is punishing the other people involved without public shame..

I look at him now after his statement and sadly say actions speak louder than words, so it's difficult for me to think this is genuine. Hi Warner, I don't know if you'll ever see this message. I am a great admirer of your cricket! I loved the way SRH played in your leadership, your batting has been a great joy to watch, I am ever so sad to see you in this state! In life we all make mistakes, perhaps if you never got caught, you would have brushed it off in your memories however Karma catches up with you when you least expect it. I still respect you and wish to see you again in the field, I think you need to go on a journey and in that you'll be able to forgive yourself first and foremost and then console with your team mates. It's sad that a small immoral decision has caused so much sadness and suffering to many souls, such again is life. I hope you become much wiser and a role model in the future and I support you spiritually in your endeavourers. Best of luck buddy, see you again soon smiling :).

    1 year is jus too harsh. Maximum should be 3 months. They were wrong on their part and regret it very much. People only see the negativity and no one notices how much they have contributed to the Australian cricket team. We don't know what must've happened in the dressing room or what convinced them to take this decision but they can be forgiven and given a second chance to make up for their mistake. People should really chill cause worse things have happened. And Australia is not very powerful without Smith and Warner. They were the alphas of the team. It's just sad and heartbreaking to see this. 😞 mistakes are made by everyone and they have taken full responsibility for it. They deserve a second chance to rectify it, for all they wanted was for their country to win. They were just two desperate captains who would do anything for their country to win..

    Dodging questions?!! What do you think he will answer?? Be in his position and think of all he might be going through at the moment before making a comment like this.. His reputation has got tarnished, his family like other 2 players is facing the abuses from people, he is not sure of his future as a cricketer, above all he has two daughters and imagine what they must be going through right now! I am not supporting his action but the guy needs compassion and support at this time. Things happen and sometimes there is no reason for it. We all make mistakes..they had an error of judgement and it can happen with anyone. I hope all will be well with all 3 player's very soon!

      I appreciate why you are sympathizing but Australia hates a cheat and we needed to be hard to reassure the rest of the world of that. I hope they can earn some respect back but for now, let them stew in remorse. lol

      AUSTDOG1: Lol, Australia hate cheating ? What was that "BRAIN FADE" thing of Smith last year then ? Ain't Aussies under Ricky Ponting captaincy used to superflously sledge every other opponent? Sorry to say, Cricket has never been a 'Gentleman's game' for Aussies. Its KARMA.. What you give, comes back to you in some other form. From decades, everyone's tolerating Aussie's bully cricket culture, but that's too much to hold now. The water is spilling out of the bowl.

    David Warner apologised for his involvement andhis actions in this, what more did you want from him? Ah wait a minute you wanted him to say he was the instigator of the whole thing. so you could all really celebrate Easter with another Crucifixion. The guy made a mistake, he has admitted he made the mistake, he has taken responsibility for those actions and has accepted the punishment dished out by Cricket Australia.For Heavens sake let the guy get on with the healing process, it is going to be hard enough to deal with without all the bigots putting the boot in.Before I get any bullying let me say this: I do not in any way condone what he or any of the three guys did but I do object to the constant bullying they have been subjected to.

    I think devid warner and steve smith should be life baned from the game. Seeing this let other bad players also understand the consiquences. Eroor is human but purposely doing error is not human being. If devid warner and steve smith is felling very bad let them be forgiven

    Doesn’t deserve 12 months ban. I guarantee you their ban will be decreased as they will be losing hella lot. World cup is in 15 months...

    Save the tears bully boy. A lot of opponents and people in cricket will be laughing at these cry babies. Sadly, he is showing there are a whole of others involved. He has been caught out after years of malicious and vicious abuse of opponents, a man who not only crossed the line of what is acceptable but took a long haul flight over it.

    bottom line he just say I cheated ! along with others next to you so do the honourably thing stop dicking around and just walk away from the game. It's even worse and deeper than he is letting on....thing is that only for the cameras those cheats would never have stopped. He won't even come clean about the other cheats...they were all coached to force those crocodile tears out to gain forgiveness. Management should be hung out to dry too right up to the top.

    Crocodile tears? A play? I don't want to judge this man. Im no saint. But his conduct throughout his career has not lead itself to attracting sympathy.

    Home and Away must sign this guy up. This acting is of the standard of any Aussie soap.
    Or failing that a career in politics, as he managed to side step just about every question and kept repeating the same speel that told the reporters nothing.
    In my opinion these are not the words of a man who is genuinely sorry but one who is being evasive and dishonest.

    Not answering direct questions looks suss. Especially after he alluded to the fact there were others involved and they just haven't been exposed. That was early on in the piece.
