Thanks for showing how it's done (especially the beer-chugging!) My daughter and I are looking to do it ourselves and I wasn't sure if I'd be up to the task, but I think we're gonna do it after seeing you handle it alone. I appreciate your time and effort to share the build.
i'm looking to build the 20x20 to cover my garage driveway. you make it look easy! I'm not sure how much more challenging a double bay would be....but i imagine i'd need a taller ladder.
Why not build the higher frames on the ground and then lift them in to place so you don't have to climb on/off ladder? Husband is looking at the 14H model for our RV
Hey. I just purchased the same exact car port and I already have rust after 1 week. Can you please let me know if you've had rust? You've had it for 2 years so I'd really like to know your experience so far
Good video man, how has it held up ? Do you get snow in your area? I personally didn’t mind the music, good message there. And can’t beat the stone cold Steve Austin tune at the end haha
I have been looking into a car port to keep my lawn stuff under. What did you think about the fit and finish of the kit you got? Are you going to secure it to the ground? Also- lowkey upset that you didn't end the video by putting the boat under the car port 🤣
Fit and finish is actually great, especially for a 1700$ kit. I did anchor it to the ground and put the boat under it but I actually moved it over to where the boat is parked in the background.
It’s so much easier to assemble them on the ground and pick them up in one piece. You only have to worry about getting each side in the bottom and you are not up on a ladder driving those screws.
A little wind and this goes bye bye…. No attachment to the ground?? Where i live there’s a lot of wind. I’m already thinking how am I going to secure this to dirt ground. Maybe create a cement base with brackets.
Could it have been anchored into concrete if it had been necessary? I have a concrete RV access that I’m thinking of covering with one of these suckers.
Thanks for the video entertainment... especially putting prego mama to work :) --- btw had you used the fiberglass ladder from the start you could have put the uppers on in one piece...lol
I am waiting on lowes delivery for this. I think I am going to assemble the walls and rafters before installing to the rails, though. Watching all that up and down the ladder made me tired.
That was a really good assembly video. However, the music sucked big time. I literally turned off the sound. Next time skip the music. Your video was good without it.
@@FowlersFarmhouseMore wow cool thanks. Am looking at a camp of this construction the roof was holding alot of dirt along the ribs seemed as if itd give it time to leak.
Great video, You made it look easy, sir.

I appreciate seeing your mistakes. I'm about to buy one of these and assemble myself. Feel like I can do it now. Thanks!
what i liked was you did it your self
Good job. Thanks for the video.
How did you anchor it to the ground? Did you have to?
Less music. More beer.
Excellent single person execution of a possible two person job sir
Good Video (Skip music next time!) Were you using a 1/4 or 3/8 drive drill?

Honestly that may be an easier method
I ran machines for Arrow. In the shop we had to hold a sixteenth. Out in the field they went with somewhere in the area of the two holes.
Greetings from Australia where I'm about to do mine solo as well, very helpful thanks.

@SzymczykProductions i have no rust but I live in a pretty southern climate not sure if that may have an effect.
String level on top pieces before adding screws and it would have been perfect
Good video man, how has it held up ? Do you get snow in your area?

@nombr we don't receive alot of snow but it is still holding the same as it was the day I built it. I have no complaints
Built one for a friend yesterday. The self tappers were horrible. Some were bent outta the bag and a lot of the heads kept burning off

@@joeydrumstix the kit come with ground anchors
Great build!!!
Thanks!
Only way to finish a project 🍻
Is it holding up ? Wobbling leaks? Just got one for my boat too and wanted to know if you had any issues, you did it allot faster than me
No leaks or issues at all yet.
Bro but how did you secure it down to ground ????????
The kit comes with anchors I just didn't use them in the video bc i ended up putting some rock down and moving it to a different location
What’s holding it from blowing away?
Ground anchors.
It’s so much easier to assemble them on the ground and pick them up in one piece. You only have to worry about getting each side in the bottom and you are not up on a ladder driving those screws.
The anchors have been mentioned previously, you didn’t include the tape for the top panels which helps with leaking.

@@lvp8068 it does come with ground anchors and i did utilize them. Just not in the video

I see no reason why not long as you have a concrete bit
I see this is from 2 years ago. How long did it last?
@timmetzger844 still standing strong and no issues
How did you anchor it down
Just ground anchors with metal cables
Are there pre drilled holes or are you self tapping all these holes
@@Cotton603 self tapping
How long did this take to build?
Just one day
Damn good video, thank you sir.
No need to anchor it to the ground?
@logicboard7746 i did but the location i built it wasn't it's final resting place
NIce Job witht the video! I enjoyed the music, but could barely hear you talking, which was a bummer...
Yes I really need to invest in a mic
@@FowlersFarmhouseMore agree was hard to hear.....but loved the video.

@@MikeBCNU I didn't have that ladder from the start unfortunately
How much was it?
I don't recall I'll have to look it up and get back with you.
do these leak?
No I've had no leaks
Is this the 9ft height?
I don't remember but it is the taller option they offer
Looks like the one I’m purchasing. 146-inch width x 238.2-inch length x 105.5-inch height.

OK, I was just going to hire someone to do it. Not now!
The music didn't help the video. Turn off volume because it's not part of the what you are trying to accomplish
Loved the music, how badly does it leak with the steel in that direction with seems?
It doesn't leak at all.
@@FowlersFarmhouseMore wow cool thanks. Am looking at a camp of this construction the roof was holding alot of dirt along the ribs seemed as if itd give it time to leak.
Thanks for the how too and for not drink bud lite
What’d ya say!
I think it is better to assemble the arches first. With all those drilling.
Love the wife tossing beer at the end
My reward for a job well done.
Why the jig music?
Why not ?
Will this carport withstand hurricane forced winds in Texas
I would assume not.
Building one of these right now, the roof is a bitch haha
Cant hear anything your saying
Great music if you're a robot.
Sucks Don't it
Great demonstration, but that music was so annoying I had to skip every time it started up.
Awww, you gonna be ok?
Are you sick of cleaning the roof yet?
Haven't had to ?
🎉
And that's the bottom line...
Ok..but for some, best to mute the volume.
I tried to watch your video, but the Music, No thank you.....!
Ya. Same for me, the music was driving me crazy. Mute is a good option. Not sure why people put music to instructional videos
@@tigergreg8 it's a freaking Ex Wife Nagging on,on, on 🤣🤣🤣
LOL, agreed!!
I thought i had one of my music apps playing in the background because I couldn't hear him talking but his lips moving 😂
AGREED!!!
Gotta disagree on one point.. I definitely prefer the roof of the truck over any ladder. Lol
Lose the music
No thanks
Only drawback was the God awful music. Ty for your time.
Nice video horrible music
The music is too much of a distraction
Music sucks
