I love this game. Im one of many in the SNK Cult that can say I was already informed about SNK before playing this. But anyway let me identify the differences in both of these versions of the game. For the Dreamcast: From what i'm seeing, it's an arcade perfect port. No graphical downgrades, little to no reduced frame animations, everything is there. But I have yet to play the arcade version since my PC sucks lol. Now for the PS1?PSX/Psone version, in there there are frame animations missing, backgrounds are more simplified with less graphical outputs, and the stages in there no longer have their stage intros like on Dreamcast. Even the menus in the game have been graphically donwgraded as well like the backgrounds for the character select, offline leaderboards, the cursor not glowing green by a horizontal gradient as quickly as the one on Dreamcast etc. However, I dare say that even the PS1 port is actually a decent port. You wouldn't be getting the whole entire arcade experience, but you get enough of it to the point where you don't feel like you're missing out (Unless you're one of those people who love graphics so much you just need to have he best graphics, not that it's a problem). As much as i love playing the PS1 version (mostly because i never knew this was on Dreamcast and when i did, i assume it as the same), i personally suggest you stick with the Dreamcast version if you want the full arcade experience. If not then you'll have fun playing the PS1/PSX/PSone version too.
The PSone version had some great artwork and loading screens exclusive to the system here. The people who ported this did not slack one bit, and worked with what they had to the point where they have a passable game. Obviously the DC had impressive exclusives as well, and better graphics thanks to it being the next generation console. That of course doesn't make either game better than other and I'm definitely curious to see how they both play for myself. This is a game I skipped, or never really added to my library. It looks great though, and I should add it.
Thanks so much for uploading this! The PSX version is awesome for it's time, a great game for those who doe not have a way to play on the DC or arcade versions! After the miracle of Street Alpha 3 for Sony's ' 1st system, this was expected to some degree!
Well Dreamcast but I respect the PS1 version for it's colors, character size, and effects. However at the @5:00 and @12:00 mark you really see how the additional memory and processing power allows for additional background elements, and resolution. Most stages you can see the difference in floor resolution sharper textures, and more detail foliage on the DC version. The one stage I thought the PS1 looked better was the exploded tanker stage. The lighting effects on the DC characters was a distraction. Other than that, DC on top.

Interessante comparar as diferenças, ótimo video
Capcom vs snk my favorite video game and I had it for both Dreamcast and PlayStation. Of course to compare them and how to compare gold with lead. It is obvious that the Dreamcast wins.
Eu tive as 2 maquinas .
PS1 was 1993 tech released at the end of 1994.......it had 2mb of main ram and 1mb of video ram with a 2x cd drive... it is amazing what they pulled off since almost all the old capcom fighting game ports to the ps1 played really bad compared to the saturn.
It should be mention that the PS1 version of Capcom vs SNK Pro was released in 2002, 1 year after the Dreamcast version was released and Capcom vs SNK 2 including its initial ports were released in 2001. So I guess Capcom wanted PS1 users to experience the Capcom vs SNK goodness without ever owning a Dreamcast or a PS2 even if the PS1 version was inferior to the Arcade and Dreamcast versions and the PS1 itself was in its twilight years by the time the PS2, Xbox, and Gamecube were released much in the same vein as the one from Street Fighter Alpha 2 on SNES or any other games that does this albeit varying degrees quality and effort or just outright same name different game like Call of Duty Black Ops 3 on the Xbox 360 and PS3, Just Dance 2020 on Wii, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 on PS1, FIFA 14 on PS2, etc. Although the PS1 version was developed by Klein Computer Entertainment or/and Capcom, I'm not sure which one is true but you get the point. I mean the PS1 version was clearly the inferior version in terms of graphics, sounds, presentation, and has long loading times but overall it's not half bad and the gameplay is still intact. I mean they could definitely port Capcom vs SNK Pro to the PS2, but then again the sequel and its initial ports where released in 2001. So I guess Capcom saved some money in order to port Capcom vs SNK Pro to the outdated PS1 and release it on 2002 instead.
Yeah, you can tell The PlayStation was trying it's best. The FPS was in 30 instead of 60 (with the intro cutscene. & it has no stage cinematic/transition intros on the PSX port) & slightly bad Audio System. & the resolution is slightly off by looking at the Health Bars and by looking at the Super Meters. & of course the loading times. I have to say the Sega Dreamcast won this. But we at least need to give The PlayStation a shoutout for using so much efforts to use all it's potential. 'Cause that's pretty freaking crazy to see a console that dropped in stores in 1994 just to use all this power that it's giving.
I dont like the way of your comparisons. You are playing 2 videos at the same time so we hear mash up of sounds and cannot clearly recognize them. We also can't focus on two screens at the same time. But I see you are trying to play a game as similar as it possible. So why dont you show one screen and then another instead?

The Dreamcast version is the definitive one, on PlayStation it was only a Capcom charity but it was still enjoyed. For me this game is cult and a great collector's item for whoever owns it. Excellent game and the best crossover ever.
Very impressed with the PS version but the Dreamcast is the clear winner. Smoother in every way and has all the flash I would expect from the DC. So glad I had this version back in the day
me and my boys would play this on dreamcast at home but the PSone version with the screen at school, shit was so much fun
Snk va capcom should have been ported to the Saturn just to once again destroy the ps1 version
Dreamcast 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Had so much fun playing the psx port when I had a hacked PSP and downloaded it onto there
Dreamcast is even better than PS2 in those kind of games. That said, the PS1 in this one is still a really good game.
Kinda odd how they couldn't just port the game to PS2 instead then it'll be almost on par with the Dreamcast version.
It still would be leagues below the Dreamcast because the Dreamcast ran on the same hardware that the arcade machines had.
A Capcom Milagreira dos Anos 90! Fez o milagre do Street Fighter 2 20mb no PC-Engine, do Super Street Fighter 2 40mb no Mega Drive, do Street Alpha 2 de CPS2 no Super Nintendo, esse do vídeo em questão... Fora o Super Street Fighter 2x de 3DO e o Alpha 3 de Saturn, Pocket Fighter no Wonderswan... Tá maluco!
faltou citar Resident Evil 2 no Nintendo 64
Tem o Resident Evil no Zeebo. Conta?
Dreamcast, no doubts...Playstation version is more pixelated
if I were you, I would compare the Japanese versions.
PS1: Mp4 Video
Dreamcast: Image Asset Animation
Sonic: You're Too Slow, Sony!
the psx doing kaioken x20 to handle that game
Has there been a Street Fighter Alpha 3 comparison between the PS and DC versions?
Interessante comparar as diferenças, ótimo video
Capcom vs snk my favorite video game and I had it for both Dreamcast and PlayStation. Of course to compare them and how to compare gold with lead. It is obvious that the Dreamcast wins.
Are going to do cvs2 in the future?
Damn that bison stage is so badass
Legal a dimensão do trem maior no Dreamcast. Porém o cenário ficou muito bonito no psx
I didn't remember that the PS1 version was this good, i only remembered the loadings :):)
PS1 did a great job. Both versions are great.
Character select screen music is top notch
9:50 dreamcast like mugen with yellow pixels around characters.
lighting effect
Dreamcast = Arcade version
Playstation = limited port
I wonder which one sold better. The DC is the best version, but the PS1 had such a huge installed base.
In your opinion which is more impressive, this or Darkstalkers 3?
DREAMCAST WINS!!! This Game born for this console.
Cenário do M Bison, inspiração no KoF 97
*CvS Pro* should've also been bundled with *CvS2 EO* on the 6th-gen consoles (GC, PS2, and XBOX).
Vai uma Kaiser?
