Having loved books all my life I ended up with over 4,000 and that's without keeping 95% of the many fiction paperbacks I read. I converted our smallest bedroom into a library but realised I had arrived at a time in my life when I don't have enough years left to be able to read them all again so have been reluctantly downsizing my collection over the last few years. Not been easy but am now down to just 500 so over 87% gone. I collected antique books too the oldest being a beautiful book about butterflies from 1788. Love all your book related posts and the way you talk about them, I love poetry too x
I have a fever and this is just the most soothing thing to experience right now. I love how you organise your shelves by interest/theme, and your reading taste is so interesting!

I wish I could say! I heard that rubber plants really don't like change, so I leave it in the same place and water the same amount every week, turning it a little bit each time. It's been in the same room for years now. That's all I've got, I'm sorry 😂😂
I love James Salter. I found A Sport and a Pastime in a charity shop, and then I read everything I could find of his. 'All That Is' is incredible. HIs memoirs 'Burning the Days' is great, too. Sort of on this, all the contemporary and popular writing I've read lately has been by women. I've found some great books and writers who are now staples for me. But I also want to find some new male authors for something a bit different. Any you can recommend? Maybe some of the Argentine or Mexican books you have?

Fiction in general! Probably literary fiction (although who knows if that really counts as a genre) -- so attention to language and character
