    When this video started I wasn't sure where it was going - it was the first video of yours that I'd watched so I had no previous. Your loose watercolour style and mixed media rendition is a joy to watch.
    I'm new to urban sketching and still stuck in an illustrative style of drawing and painting and want desperately to be able to loosen up and be more free, trusting my ability to eventually come good.
    Thanks again for this, it's so good and such a great example of this urban sketching technique.

    Love the idea of Sketch My City.
    Would like to do something similar with My State. I could travel to WV state parks and do some drawing

      Thank you so much!! There's something so relaxing about sketching in the car, and knowing no one can come over to you at the "ugly stage" of the painting 😂 I highly recommend!

    Lovely loose style! I like the addition of the steering wheel desk! I go on location a lot, urban or plein air, & like to paint while traveling - so this will be wildly helpful! Thanks for sharing!! 😍

    Absolutely brilliant. I’ve just found you and will now pour over your videos. I love your style which seems to be using source colour but also your own colour to add texture and interest. SO lovely. Also love the rain at the end, so relaxing for you.

    I like the way you rough in with pencil , water color , then use a White pen and a black pen to fine the finished product....

    Love your sketch! I tried painting along with you but mine didn’t turn out the same 🤣. Did you let the paper dry or just continue to add layers? Also did you blot a lot of it to get that effect?

    • @KateBauerArt
      @KateBauerArt  2 года назад +2

      Thank you! That's so cool you painted along with the video!! I let the paper dry somewhat before I added the second layer. I usually work on another thing whilst it's drying, or just wait for it. I'm not sure what effect you mean, but I don't recall blotting on this sketch :) Hope that helps!

    Loved your sketch and the brick building. Sometimes it's hard to find good buildings to sketch in Florida. You didn't include the cars in the sketch which is a good reminder that you don't have to include everything you see in your sketch.

    • @KateBauerArt
      @KateBauerArt  2 года назад

      It's really tricky to find interesting buildings here. They're all usually just rectangular! I very rarely include the cars, unless they add context, and on this I just felt they got in the way, and were pointless to the sketch. I'm so glad you liked it! Thank you for the support, and encouragement!
