I grabbed that low poly weapons pack. I do love me some nice looking low poly assets since you got me hooked on Synty's stuff. I've been taking advantage of their recent sales too. I finally got the Military pack I've been wanting for quite some time. I have a couple of project ideas to use it for.
@@CodeMonkeyUnity thanks for the answer, I meant no code solution like putting a discord for your community and tell them to join it. I'm trying that right now but there is a lot of users that won't bother I guess
Def a few in here I wanna try. The friends package looks neat and the bookmarking. Im not sure if Id like the enums but im honestly using solution with booleans anyways that allows for multiple tags. Im curious about the check points too. I feel like there are a few winners here.
why do you not like tags? is it the inefficiency of strings or more of a point of failure because of miswriting the string? I usually just make a public static class called Tags and aim at that so it ends up being (Tags.Player) instead of ("Player")
He mentioned in several of his videos that it is due to the inefficiency of strings and it can be easy to make a mistake when making a string. But in my defense, tags can be useful.
Yes strings are very easy to make mistakes so you should never use them for identifying objects. Yup if you convert them into constants or enums and use that then yes it solves that issue but I would still use another method for finding objects, probably with a tag component unitycodemonkey.com/video.php?v=0_UiF-4-7xM
If you're using the new Input System it should be as simple as changing the Control Scheme Controls are local so Photon probably shouldn't care what input the player is using
@@CodeMonkeyUnity Code monkey l mean with the old input controls because the new input controls are a bit to complicated for me😭😭(Sorry if l am bothering u)
Did you have any bugs with it...for me it works fine but when I build it it doesn't work at all, like the button that supposed to transition from menu scene to the game scene does nothing on builds but works fine on the editor
the multiplayer service that unity provide is really good especially when the Unity was missing one for a long time but in your perspective how can you convince a New/Old unity user to use Unity new multiplayer solution personally i use photon (PUN) As my game network solution they kind offer the same services it's like unity copying Photon, don't get me wrong people copy each other all the time but why would i switch to NetCode?
Pricing, and functionality they offer in from their free to paid tiers, documentation, accessibility. I think Photon has better pricing deals for scaling, if I recall correctly.

This is a very helpful and informative video, thanks for putting it together!
I think the assets cache will be my go to have in every unity proyect from now on.
Thank you!
Thank you for reviewing Assets Cache!
I was in the Friends beta I'm wondering if it's a good feature instead of using discord
I assume it's easier to implement than the Discord API although I haven't used either
@@CodeMonkeyUnity thanks for the answer, I meant no code solution like putting a discord for your community and tell them to join it. I'm trying that right now but there is a lot of users that won't bother I guess
Let go Get them all!
Lots of "simple and generic, but very useful" things, this time. Thanks.

Cool stuff again thanks

@@CodeMonkeyUnity that's the good and bad of programming. you can do the same thing multiple ways
great assets this month
Already we can play audio by editor!
Code monkey can you plz make a Tutorial about changing pc controls to mobile controls. And maybe how to sync them over photon plz😊
If you're using the new Input System it should be as simple as changing the Control Scheme

Do you know for how long Synty sale will be going on??
I believe it ends this weekend so if you need something get it quickly

@@VEETEEGameStudio nah it worked fine for me maybe check the version of your editor
@@Ez-_-69. I've figured it out😅😅
I had the transition manager a child of ana object with the tag editor only
