Matt thank you to you and Eric for this video. Two weeks ago I shot 107 this past Wednesday I shot a 87. In 20-25 mph wind. Due to my cancer and physical ability right now I'm not a long hitter but I got more distances on all clubs and I hit 12\14 fairways 6 GIR and 4 pars. Thank you for your channel and content. God bless. Keep up the awesome channel.

This was a fantastic lesson to watch. The great thing about this instructor is that he spoke just enough to convey what he wanted BDog to do to get his swing right and then let him execute. So many instructors get caught up in talking, and hearing themselves talk, that the student just ends up listening more than actually swinging the club. Not here.....kudos on a great lesson.

What I really like about his teaching style is he identifies big problem areas that need to be addressed first, which is the same as most good lessons, but then he communicates what will need work after the main problem is addressed. This is so important because it gives more confidence to the student to continue to work on the initial issues even though they might still be struggling a bit. It also gives them an awareness of what is actually broken and what not to mess with. I wish I had lessons like this.

As a lot of comments below Eric appears to have a very nice style of coaching. Working with a great coach now that is also hands on like Eric, trying to get at the route cause. Physically showing you how your body should be moving correctly is so crucial to learn quickly. There is a lot of good content online but I can tell you from experience that a lot of times you think you are doing one thing when you are doing the exact opposite. That is where a good coach will save you time. I have made 10x more progress in two months with my coach than a year working on my own. Thanks for sharing hopefully we will see more of Bdog journey. He has a great swing in him, some of those iron shots were beautiful.

@@GolfSidekick had 3 lessons with a “pro” near to me because I was struggling with the occasional shank appearing which would set off a run of about 12 shanked shots on the course before I managed to band-aid it, and never really solved the issue.
Went for my first lesson with a great coach nearby to get help with my driver, and within the first 5 minutes of warming up for our lesson he’d fixed my shanks with a simple set up change.. then went on to help me massively with my driver throughout the hour.
Instead of giving me repeat bookings for a lesson like my previous coach, he’s instead given me a couple of drills and feels to work on, and wants regular video updates to help me out between my lesson 3 weeks ago, and my next which isn’t even booked yet because he’s happy to let me figure it out on my own until I can’t get any further without another lesson - all for a lesson that cost £10 more. It’s definitely about finding the right coach like Eric here who isn’t just interested in repeat bookings!

Excelent lession! Easy to understand. Eric does a fantastic job of identifying (what's wrong) and transforming (greatly improving) a golf swing in his student (BDOG). I know this video will help me with my swing because I have similar (swing errors) tendencies in my game. Just this simple lesson of getting into a reverse "K" position in the backswing does address a lot a swing errors that I will avoid in the back and forward swing. Errors such as "weight shift", freeing up space in the backswing, and shallowing out the club in the downswing. Love this one!

Thank you for sharing this lesson. My issues are very similar to B-Dog’s and thus some of the adjustments from Eric C really hit home for me. First time swinging with some emphasis on the pivot and hip turn connected the dots for me. I never felt freer with the swing and it simplified the swing to make it easier to repeat. I’ve never put such a good move on the ball with much less effort. Thank you Matt and Eric for everything. Time to practice and make this second nature.

Just gave you a $5 tip. I just got back from the range and really exaggerated the feel and forced myself to get in the "body geometry" he referenced and for the first time I was hitting high draws with way less effort that I did a couple of days ago on the course. @Golf Sidekick I just wanted to circle back to this comment and share some progress updates. This explanation of rotation has gotten me to a point of consistency that I've never had. My best score ever is a 92 (couple of times). Yesterday, I shot a 93 with 42 putts (freakin 7 3 putts and a 4 putt on 18). It's not typical that I have that many putts, but the point is that my full swing was treating me very well! I will break 90 soon, just time to put most of my focus on putting. Thanks again for what you do, I always look forward to seeing your videos!
