      @@bautistalover ECW was stupid and wildly unprofessional just taking some guy (some KID) from the crowd and not knowing who he was, checking his ID, making sure he was legit, and not ensuring the wrestlers arrived on time to begin with.
      However, there's absolutely NO excuse for New Jack's actions. He butchered that kid and knew what he was doing. He was always a violent, short fused, aggressive, arrogant, disgusting thug. How can you not feel sympathy for a KID getting his face slashed? Regardless of who was in the ring and where, nobody should have been subjected to that. New Jack should've been sued into the ground and locked up for that.

    • @bautistalover
      @bautistalover 3 месяца назад

      @@Loe_Jist I agree ECW should’ve done more then take another wrestler’s word that the kid was legit. Yes I can absolutely blame that idiot kid and his dumbass father for what happened to him. As you said at that time everyone knew that guy was dangerous and they still let that kid step in on one of new jacks matches. Play stupid games win stupid prizes. As far as new jack is concerned never liked the guy. Not saying what he did was right because it wasn’t however had it been a legit wrestler in the ring that psycho wouldn’t have been cutting the other guy. What happened was direct result of an untrained fan lying to fulfill a dream.

      Yeah it’ll always be absurd that they went on with the show because if that happened today in any other sporting event there’s no chance they’d continue the event. Just look back at the Bills v Bengals game. After damar Hamlin came so close to death they cancelled the game and that game very easily may have played a significant role in the conference playoff picture and anybody who mentioned that concern got their ass torn up. If WWE did what they did with Owen in today’s world it would be a disaster for them and even so I don’t think they’d have continued the show if they had a redo. I think they honestly just didn’t know what to do and just made a choice and unfortunately it was the wrong one.

    Good Lord ! A mark shows up at an ECW event, wants to be a part of the show and is asked to blade, but isn't comfortable about it and suggests that his opponent does it for him. That's crazy enough, but when you're dealing with a true loose cannon like New Jack, that's beyond crazy...that's totally insane. NJ was one of those guys that didn't always subscribe to the concept of "protecting your fellow worker" during a match. I never was comfortable with blading either, but I'd rather do it to myself than trust someone like New Jack to do it for me.

Sheppard was cleared by DNA evidence in 1997, 27 years, After his death in 1970.after he was exhumed for DNA testing involving another case, he was then buried next to his murdered wife. His son worked to restore his reputation. In 1999, Alan Davis, a lifelong friend of Sheppard and administrator of his estate, sued the State of Ohio in the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas for Sheppard's wrongful imprisonment. On February 22, 2002, the Eighth District Court of Appeals ruled unanimously that the civil case should not have gone to the jury, on the grounds that the statute of limitations had expired, and that a claim for wrongful imprisonment died with Sam Sheppard.

    Well, at least you got 1/3 of the Mass Transit story. He lied about his training by Killer Kowalski. He was in the locker room telling New Jack what NJ was gunna do during the match, that’s why NJ was pissed off. He told Heyman he was comfortable bleeding, but had never juiced before and said NJ could do it for him. NJ sliced him, one side to the other, to the skull with a scalpel severing several arteries in his forehead. As MT was being wheeled to the back on a gurney, he was telling his dad, “it’s ok dad. I’m one of the boys now!” When MT went to court, he was in a wheelchair b/c he lost a leg. It was from his diabetes. He was trying to get sympathy. It didn’t work and he lost the case. He later lost his life.

    1. Eric Kulas showed up backstage before the show even happened and it was only Axl Rotten who didn't show up.
    2. Jack didn't do what he did because Mass Transit asked to get color. It was because Mass Transit was telling Jack what he wanted to do to him when that's a major no no when talking to a veteran. Jack would have beaten his ass regardless, but Eric asked to get color, so Jack did just that.

    Sad thing about modern pro wrestling is the "masters" of it either dont understand it's upside in modern culture, or they do and dont want it realized...It's live action stunt, performance art plays, satirizing violent competition/violent conflict...as an excuse to exhibit athletic bodies....and it is still violent but because it has a satirical component...it has untapped ceiling as progressive artform....but...the masters of it...want to define the audience as violence loving slobs passing time until mma ultra violence hour...And that would all be tolerable if it were a free market...but what it seems to be is FOX corp and NBCuniversal riding the radicalized right to market monopolies...socially engineering the crowds into pretty basic mentalities...with the wrestlers as indentured meat in unknowing anti violence morality plays of victim shaming...with stultified psychology development from the 50's or some now untraceable decade....because it's all more malleable to profits over the cliff this way...and the other sport attraction spectacles are doing the same thing, just more subtly anyway. The left might have missed the value of pro wrestling though, which only matters because the right is absolutely telegraphing their politics/sensibilities through it destructively still, but possibly even more dangerously now.
