    Well done and a great explanation of your process. The problem here in Florida is that the soil almost never gets dry. If you do get that small window of a week or so without rain and the soil starts getting a little dry, you better get on it as it won't stay that dry.
    I just built a wetland garden for a client earlier this year. The homeowner was concerned last Thursday that it was starting to look dry. She picked up four inches of rain on Friday and Saturday.
    Again, really nice work.

      Thanks buddy, yeah you know it. I’ve learned if you get a small window of dry you better be there taking advantage of it or you will be sorry. I sure appreciate you watching

    Great video and to the point! I am in the process of clearing off 1-2 acres of brush with my excavator Rut disk mulcher, then I'll follow your advice and use a small dozer with rake. Thanks, I was looking for videos of clean up after mulching/brush cutting.

      Thanks buddy, glad you enjoyed it. Do you like that rut mulcher? I’ve been eyeballing them for a while now

      @@floridabrushanddirt2482 The mulcher works great, have had it about a year and no issues.

    I rake the same way but around here you may have to rake again to get more stuff out. Slow raking like that should help avoid bending the rake on stumps. Excavator is the easiest way to pop the stumps out. Especially since you have it right there on site. You can also hake dirt out with the excavator.

      Agreed the excavator is much easier to get the stumps out with. I guess if I had a D6 I might feel otherwise 🤣.

    What size dozer is that? Im thinking a D5 for cleaning up after an area has been logged?
    (they are called D3 now)

      This is a 450j. I use it to rake and clean up, or dirt work it’s perfect. This size dozer isn’t going to push a big pine stump without working around it ect. Honestly a D5 size won’t push big stumps either. When you get to a D6 you can bust a pretty big stump. If your are raking over top of stumps d5 would be fine if you are wanting to push stumps and they have any size to them your going to need bigger dozer

    What would you do with all the material that you are raking if there was no place to bury it?

    • @floridabrushanddirt2482
      @floridabrushanddirt2482  Год назад

      Some people are against burying for various reasons. In this case it was pushed out of the immediate area and piled up to keep the cost down. It’s a little more costly to bury and push the dirt back out.

    How many acres do you think you can do in a day like that?
