    We always park all of our equipment in a straight line at the end of the day. With enough space in between to swing and extend our equipment without hitting other equipment. Because they would always get fueled up at night and sometimes greased or serviced by our mechanics. In my whole life not one of them has ever caught on fire! When they are off they aren’t going to spontaneously combust. Never mind all of ours have a secondary kill switch and nowadays they have GPS location on them. The moment they are started the owners know immediately that they are running doesn’t matter what time of day it is. So parking them a certain way really doesn’t matter other than it will make it easier or harder for them to be serviced. Thieves or thieves if they are willing to try and steal your equipment unless it on your private property it really doesn’t matter.

    • @floridabrushanddirt2482
      @floridabrushanddirt2482 4 месяца назад

      Well sounds to me if you’re parking far enough to swing and extend you’re probably doing something similar to me. I’ve never had one burn either, I know some people that have.

    What parts did you need to replace to fix this issue?

    • @floridabrushanddirt2482
      @floridabrushanddirt2482 5 месяцев назад

      Two bushings, the main pin, and normal shims took care of it (all can be had a John Deere) bushings are about 90 a piece, pin was 600 since it’s a thumb pin, shims aren’t to much. Thankfully it had not gotten into the meat of the stick yet. I also welded the tag coupler up solid since it was worn beyond a reasonable amount. I also don’t have a second bucket so at the time it made since to weld the coupler up, it is still welded today.

    • @berniemac8413
      @berniemac8413 5 месяцев назад

      @@floridabrushanddirt2482okay interesting. Was the quick pin on the tag system also worn? Mine is worn out and I think it needs more than just a pin.. the boss of the bucket is worn and I didn’t see a bushing in there. Did you need to replace it? Or is that the part you welded on?

    • @floridabrushanddirt2482
      @floridabrushanddirt2482 5 месяцев назад

      @@berniemac8413 man I should’ve thought to tell you that also. I cut 4 pieces of 3/4 plate and welded it between the coupler and the bucket making it solid to avoid buying a new coupler and bucket. Mine was worn so bad the coupler was junk and imo the bucket part also. I think tag quoted 4500 for both. Tag couplers suck if you only have one bucket I would weld it up. I can get you some pics if you want. Machine only had 2800 hours on it when this video was taken so no way I would have got another one from them.

      @@floridabrushanddirt2482 that’s interesting. Yea I’ve heard the TAG system sucks from a couple people now. Unfortunately, I’ve got a couple of buckets. A 12” and 24” so I don’t think I could weld the quick attach to a bucket.. But I’d definitely like to see some pics. Thinking I’m going to have to get a machinist to build a boss for the buckets, cut out the old one, and weld the new one into place. Because I definitely don’t want to spend that much money replacing the quick connect and buckets. I’m glad your repair has held up.
