Why not a crown on the road?
Is it because of the material you’re working with?
The material you’re using I try to get seed down as soon as possible because our rain washes it away so quick, but we are on a bit of a hill.

@@PurpleNovember most of the timber roads we build fairly flat around here. Not much elevation change most of the ground around here is flat so the water doesn’t pickup as much speed and rip the road apart. Also the water goes right down in this material since it’s a lot of sand. The log trucks seem to mess the road up quicker and find themselves in the ditch quicker with a crown. There are some situations we would crown more it just wasn’t a good fit here.

@@floridabrushanddirt2482 I was thinking it might have something to do with trucks in the ditch and the drainage. The end of our road has some hard pack clay sand gravel mix that I haven’t seen other places. That stuff is great as long as I keep a good crown on it. Instant pot holes if any water sits on it.
