This tutorial is so overproduced, I watched the whole thing with no intention of ever doing this. Absolutely fantastic.
I believe if there was an Oscar for "BEST TUTORIAL of ALL TIME for ANY subject matter", this would win hands down!
I've watched thousands upon thousands of hours of tutorials in my life, learning different skillsets and this has got to be the most satisfying tutorial I've ever seen. And not just for making cartoons, I mean tutorials in general. This is the golden standard as far as I'm concerned. It's so energetic and moves like a breeze. Incredibly well done.
Ok for now on every tutorial for all software ever needs to be edited just like this!
This is the coolest tutorial I've ever seen in my frikkin life. LOVE IT.
You SICK, SICK, BRILLIANT INDIVIDUAL!!! This was friggin awesome!
A new level of how tutorias have to be maded!

Love you Oli, you deserve success and praise for being a teacher. I know how to use this program intuitively, and it's about time I took the leap and made something with these skills. You and Kyu Bum Lee taught me most of what I know. Thank you.

Oh man! You are really good, the edit, the explanation... And only in 12 minutes. You're a master! New sub!.
Thanks, mate! Lots of good things planned for later in the year
This is really impressive! It's also the reason i'm sticking with frame by frame, cause god, i'm too stupid to go through that
It's exactly the opposite for me
This has to be the best tutorial video, I've ever watched! I've seen so many tutorial videos over the years, but goddam it's like I wanted it to never end. It's kinda weird since it was like watching an action-packed movie, where it keeps making you want more! Okay, Oli I know this type of editing is a lot more effort but goddam its fucking good! I would like to add I don't even use this program, but the fucking editing and music is so goddam good! can't lie this is my 3rd time watching this now lol

I think learning from this video can be a bit distracting with all the bells and whistles going on but I can definitely appreciate the more professional direction.

Hi Oli, I just found your channel while researching more about rigging in TB :D
How much time did it take to rig the head itself? And how much does it usually take to rig the whole character?
Thanks in advance for the answer ❤
Hi there. Well, this video was created a while ago now, so I’ve developed much quicker methods to create head turn MCs since then, so I would say you could create a decent head and Master Controller in a day and a half. Rigging a whole character time very much depends on how complex the character is- could be a day, could be a month! If you ever want lessons, I can teach you: www.oliolioli.com/toonzoom
Hi mate, this is absolutely amazing. How can i get the reference images / the sketch ??
You are genius !!!
good,thanks
I mean this video was gooorgggeous
now this is a tutorial!
Perfect.
This is AMAZING :,) hasta casi lloro
ohh you have merch. YAY :D (also best self advertising lol) - i love your content, even tho i'm not even animating or using artsy progams like that at all :D
Hi, I have a question : If you use symmetry to create the west side of the face, does the "left" eye become the "right" eye when you use the mc et turn the face to the left ?
I don't know if my question is clear...
Yes, that’s right. I always label mirrored elements: A or B, rather than left and right so that it’s less confusing when things flip over.
@@OliPutland OK, thanks you very much for the response !
It's very cool
Can you do this with the master controllers in Harmony 16 as well?
I'm very confused. I followed this step by step, but for the peg part, it always like offsets the pivot of when i placed it. It also doesn't add multiple pegs to each selected layer and only to the top tree. Can you help me figure out what's wrong?
Creating Master Controllers can be very difficult, and there was only so much I could pack into a ‘very specific’ video tutorial, so I apologise if it’s not enough information for your particular issues. I have written a 200 page Rigging guide which is available on my Patreon site which might help you with your question as peg pivots in particular are quite a fiddly concept to get your head around. I’m currently in the process of creating detailed information regarding Master Controllers, so that might be of help too. Sorry I can’t answer your question directly, but it really is hard for me to explain in a comment section!
Maestro.
Dudeeeeeeeeeeeeeee you are the bomb
i enjoy watching it..though no accompanying demo with a voice..its cool with just text thumbs up
you deserve a million views and subscriptions holy shit we are not worthy
You are so worthy
Bravo!!
woaaaahh its so cool
wow!
Wow
wow like ur effort :) nice
I know this is a noob question, but how do you organize the nodes into boxes? it looks super clean.
I think the hierarchy is left=top most; right= bottom. But I'm kinda clueless with the node view. Onionskin has some GREAT videos on the subject!
Yes great
how much work did it take to creat that last little clip?
also can you re-use all of this (aka is this a one time effort and then pays off pretty quickly?)
maybe i so dumb to ask this, its about drawing layer order where the left ear layer in one pose is front the face, but in other poser left ear layer behind the face,
question is >> how to control left ear layer visibility in diferent poses??
"anyone i would be thankfull for answer "
thanks for nice tutorial
you can easily move layers in Z axis, so in some poses is up front and some poses on the back, if you don't know know how to do this I suggest you go back and start with the basics from the toon boom quick start videos.
