    I've watched thousands upon thousands of hours of tutorials in my life, learning different skillsets and this has got to be the most satisfying tutorial I've ever seen. And not just for making cartoons, I mean tutorials in general. This is the golden standard as far as I'm concerned. It's so energetic and moves like a breeze. Incredibly well done.

It's kinda weird since it was like watching an action-packed movie, where it keeps making you want more! Okay, Oli I know this type of editing is a lot more effort but goddam its fucking good! I would like to add I don't even use this program, but the fucking editing and music is so goddam good! can't lie this is my 3rd time watching this now lol

    Hi Oli, I just found your channel while researching more about rigging in TB :D
    How much time did it take to rig the head itself? And how much does it usually take to rig the whole character?
    Thanks in advance for the answer ❤

    • @OliPutland
      @OliPutland  2 года назад +4

      Hi there. Well, this video was created a while ago now, so I’ve developed much quicker methods to create head turn MCs since then, so I would say you could create a decent head and Master Controller in a day and a half. Rigging a whole character time very much depends on how complex the character is- could be a day, could be a month! If you ever want lessons, I can teach you: www.oliolioli.com/toonzoom

    Hi, I have a question : If you use symmetry to create the west side of the face, does the "left" eye become the "right" eye when you use the mc et turn the face to the left ?
    I don't know if my question is clear...

    • @OliPutland
      @OliPutland  2 года назад +5

      Yes, that’s right. I always label mirrored elements: A or B, rather than left and right so that it’s less confusing when things flip over.

    Can you do this with the master controllers in Harmony 16 as well?

  •  4 года назад +1

    I'm very confused. I followed this step by step, but for the peg part, it always like offsets the pivot of when i placed it. It also doesn't add multiple pegs to each selected layer and only to the top tree. Can you help me figure out what's wrong?

    • @OliPutland
      @OliPutland  4 года назад +1

      Creating Master Controllers can be very difficult, and there was only so much I could pack into a ‘very specific’ video tutorial, so I apologise if it’s not enough information for your particular issues. I have written a 200 page Rigging guide which is available on my Patreon site which might help you with your question as peg pivots in particular are quite a fiddly concept to get your head around. I’m currently in the process of creating detailed information regarding Master Controllers, so that might be of help too. Sorry I can’t answer your question directly, but it really is hard for me to explain in a comment section!

    maybe i so dumb to ask this, its about drawing layer order where the left ear layer in one pose is front the face, but in other poser left ear layer behind the face,
    question is >> how to control left ear layer visibility in diferent poses??
    "anyone i would be thankfull for answer "
    thanks for nice tutorial

    • @DanielRedgrave
      @DanielRedgrave 4 года назад +1

      you can easily move layers in Z axis, so in some poses is up front and some poses on the back, if you don't know know how to do this I suggest you go back and start with the basics from the toon boom quick start videos.
