- Propane tank - no pressure or low pressure when full -FIXED!!!
Turn the set screw only 1/4 or 1/2 turn..... don't take the set screw out! Let it bleed some of the gas pressure for about 15 seconds, then close the set screw. Problem solved! Развлечения
Your a RUclips hero not because you helped with our fix but didn't waste 20m to explain a one minute problem and didn't throw in a bunch of sponsorships. You are a hero sir 🇺🇸
Thanks for getting straight to the point, some people need to take 15 minutes for a fricken video that could've been done in 15 seconds.
They make video 10 min long to allow for adds so they will get paid!
thanks for mentioning that

@@workplacewarriordoctorpepp203 àà I'm
@@shermanhofacker4428 NO SHT! Not every video needs to take 10 min!
Trent you’re the man! Short and to the point! Saved me a lot of frustration! Thank you!
This worked. Thanks for not being off those annoying bigmouths that like to hear their own voice and take 15 minutes to explain something that takes 15 seconds.
The set screw is a vent to the cylinder. The reason you loose gas supply is the regulator shuts off due to excessive flow. By opening the set screw you are momentarily lowering the pressure in the cylinder and also the regulator allowing the regulator to reset. You are also venting alot of gas to the atmosphere. It is much safer to shut the tank off, remove the regulator then install it again.....
I was wondering how this trick worked then what you said made sense and is safer to do. thanks.
Going to try this next time my RV acts like my tanks are empty when they are not.
The amount of gas released is miniscule, and at times turning off, disconnecting, and reconnecting doesn't work. If the tank was filled cold and it's now hot, the pressure can be too great for the auto cut off to release fuel. I usually try dumping cold water over the tank before releasing gas.
Thank you, thank you! It is 1:30 a.m. and 12° outside. I needed to change my propane tank but then the furnace would not start in my camper. This saved me.
Bought a new grill tank, had it filled and installed it... Wife was complaining that it wasn't going over 200 degrees after 10 minutes. Saw and watched this video as I was stumped. BOOM 500 DEGREES........ ALL FIXED. Thanks a million
Same just bought a new flat top grill and it just wasn't getting hot!😂
Me too.!
I just tried it and I’m not getting ANY gas out of the tank and I know it’s full!
SAAAAAME HEEEEERE!!!! 🏋🏼♂️🔥🏋🏼♂️🙏🏻🏋🏼♂️🙏🏻🔥🔥🔥🔥
This ranks as one of the best videos on the internet because like someone else said, no one else mentioned it. This will save me time in the future. Thank you.
Don't know what you do for a living but my friend you deserve a raise!!!
This saved me some aggravation. I just had a 40# and a 30# filled and both weren’t sending out enough propane to my heater. The heater would shut off in a few minutes in a cold MN garage. My regulator was freezing and dripping liquid propane from it too. Did this and now they both are working great again. Thank you!
I think I've counted 9 or 10 hidden features within these propane and regulator systems that will cause it to not let gas pass through. Each YT video reveals another safety feature to protect me from blowing up.💣
Saved dinner tonight. Worked like a charm! Thank you!
Thanks a million! Was really frustrated to have a full tank I didn't think I could use. A quick release, and now it works fine!
Thank you for the simple fix. I can't tell you how many propane tanks I have taken to get refilled when they felt like they were half full already. This was a lifesaver.
Trent, thanks for this video - quick and to the point. This fixed my problem. Keep 'em coming
Thanks! Worked perfectly!!! Great video! I wished more people had videos like this. Short and to the point.
Thanks so much for the advise. My full tank wasn't working at all. Took it out, bled as you described, now it works. Cool!
Thank you. Very simple short video with clear instructions.
Thank you so much! I had my LP tank filled earlier this year. Didn't think I had a problem until I tried to hook up my LP gas grill to the motorhome. Thought it was my grill at first. Then figured out it was something with my on-board tank. Found your video and it worked perfectly. Again, thank you!
Best fix it video I ever watched! Thank you
This was the best 60 secs of my week!
Normally in many videos I wish that I could have the last 20 minutes of my life back! 😅 it cured my issue!
Your a life saver I’ve returned over the course of years so many not knowing it was this works like a charm thanks Bud!!!
you're not your
Trent, you're the man! And thanks especially for getting right to the point and a good explanation. I'm a new subscriber!
Brother, you saved my butt. I’m camping at Margaritaville, Auburndale FL. I had no pressure whatsoever. Brand new RV, with two propane tanks (30lbs each). I honestly thought I had a leak. Saw your video, fixed the regulator. Thank you brother, I’ll upload the video soon!!
You just saved me $70 for a new regulator plus the $200 shop fee at my rv dealership! Thank you so much!
Thank you, it worked. You saved me about a 45 min trip. You da' man!
Lovely, this issue gave me a lot of headache, propane tank change, hose change etc and now finally Eureka. thanks a lot for sharing.
Wow Trent! As many have said you are the man!! Took a 20 pounder camping grill took forever to get hot and cook. Brought it home, put on my outdoor fireplace and had a poor flame. Did ur fix and holy shit 18” flames. Great to the point! New subscriber!
I should try this on my Northern lite Camper as we're having problems with propane not working. Quick and simple video perfect man.
I've watched 10 different videos and none mentioned this! "New" to camping and filled my tanks, but nothing came out. I had no idea I had to do this. Thanks for being direct, to the point, and more importantly: a life saver.
Same here. Thought my boiler was broken and haven’t showered in 3 days because of this sudden cold weather in Tx. Gonna try this out when I’m home from work. Hope that’s what was the issue because it’s a new tank but a light ignition in the boiler. So it seems like it’s the pressure like explained in the Vid
You are a genius! This worked and took just seconds. Thank you.
dude.....I just did this ........worked like a charm............most people would go for the regulator right away...........
Wish I'd found this last night. Ran out of gas in the middle of grilling and bought a new tank. Had this exact problem and didn't know how to fix it. Thought I was going to have to return the tank today, so now there's hope. Thanks for the video!
The best video out there, all the other videos didn't work, this got me back burning meat.
Bro thank you!!!! You saved me a bunch of headaches and money! God bless you!
perfect, worked in 5 seconds! thanks for the tip
You the man! It’s working as it should!! Thanks for sharing.
Worked like a charm - thank you for the great video instruction!!!
Trent, Thanks for the tip. Tried to BBQ with the temperature below freezing. Grill would light but flame was low and was not able to get the grill above 200 Deg. Had to use the charcoal grill that night. Checked RUclips, found your post and the gas grill is fixed a working like a charm.
HOLY CARP! This worked great! Dinner is saved! Thanks so much for the "to the point" video.
This was a tremendous help, thanks!
I just went through this on my bbq. I shut the tank off and opened it back up slowly and it worked. I'll do what you showed next time.
You did *exactly* what you were supposed to do……
There’s no need for you to loosen that screw
@@linctexpilot8337 Thanks.
Thanks for this, totally fixed my problem!
It worked like a charm! Thank you Trent
And yes…..made it to the point! Thank you!
Genius! Thanks. I was going to stick it in the automatic rack at Home Depot & grab another.
Worked like a charm! Thank you kind Sir.
Thank you. Worked perfectly!
Straight to the point and worked for me! Must be too high of pressure when refilled by the company that restricts the flow. Thanks!
Life saver! Thank you sir!
I usually just pick up the pre-filled cylinders from my corner store but they just put in a Tractor Supply close and decided to get them filled (full 20lbs not like the 14-15 the store gives you) and they would only trickle out. Thanks great tip.
wow! something I saw on RUclips that worked for me. thanks brother.
Thanks ! If fixed my problem. I had just put a new regulator on cause I figured that was the issue. Made no difference. Tried your fix and it works perfect. Thanks again….
This worked great, thank you. Inquiring minds would like to know what exactly is done by doing this tho, thanks!
Thank you! It totally worked! you just made our summer!
Sir, I really appreciate your tip, you are correct. It fixed my problem. Thank you very much!
Thank you! Saved me from buying a new regulator
Works on tanks at any level! Thank you.
This worked beautifully! Thank you!
Awesome, great getting straight to the point. It worked.
Super helpful and easy to take care of, thank you
This works! Gotta love RUclips!
Wanted a burger and the tank was getting low, but the propane getting to the grill wouldn't support enough flame to warm my hands. Turned off the grill, but didn't disconnect. Your procedure worked like a charm.
Worked like a charm, awesome!!! Thank you sir.
Thank you sir for posting this quick, easy, and much needed fix. Worked like a champ for me. I have a tank that I had recently filled, hooked it up to my burner, nothing, zero. Regulator tested fine on other tanks, did your 60 second fix, and started flowing perfectly! Thank you again for taking the time to post this.
Perfect vid. solved my problem lickidy split. Love the short vid, you’re the man.
Thank you! Life saver!
Thanks for the video. I followed your instructions and it worked!
Thanks alot! I had to spend money on a new tank not knowing I couldhve just try that first!
Fixed! Thanks Trent!
thank you for the video My problem is solved due to your insight.
I recently had the Tractor Supply Store (which they couldn't do anything with the tank as no one was certified...) refill a tank. Unbeknownst to me...they overfilled it! I did notice it was extra heavy but didn't think anything of it. Fast forward - tried "refilled" tank on new grill to season it and within a few minutes the regulator froze solid. Did the reset thing like 3 times, waited and waited. still froze up. Other 2 tanks worked just fine with the same grill, so it wasn't the regulator. Thanks :)
Thanks!! Exactly what I needed to know.
Thank you so much for sharing...
Thank you. Worked great.
BOOOoM!!! Back in business!! Thank man
thanks, i was heading to the store but you help me fix it
Saved my weekend barbecue. This definitely worked !!
Thank you for the information, I will try that.
Thank you , your tha man 💪🏾🤙🏾✊🏽👊🏽 mad love for propane
Worked like a charm!!!
Freakin perfect. Short sweet and right to the point. Worked like a charm.
You are a genius! Thank you !!!
On a Weber grill, the burner will sometimes not produce full output. This is often caused by the valve on the tank not being fully turned on. According to Weber, the tank should be completely disconnected from the grill, wait about 10 seconds, and then reconnect it. The regulator may have gone into what is called "safe mode", and will be reset by this disconnecting and reconnecting of the bottle. Make sure the valve is turned completely on and then re-light the grill. This is often the problem when the grill will only reach around 250 degrees.
The safe mode you mention is usually caused by turning on the tank too quickly. Try turning it on slowly so you don’t trip the regulators safety switch
More government Nannies at work.
@@neiljohnson6815 - Engineers, not government officials are responsible. If the valve is not fully turned on, the output to the burner may require more than the input is allowing. This may be the sign of a gas leak in the tubing and is why the grill regulator goes into safe mode. They also realize that an idiot who does not understand gas flow is in control - either way, the safety mode is there for a reason.
Awesome! worked just like you said!
Thanks, worked like a charm
You are the man!!!!
I was stuck unable to use my Blackstone camping after JUST refilling. This did the trick!
Thank you works perfect now!!!!!
I will give it a try thanks
