@@kombarax435 Agreed, but only to an extent. Cynthia’s rematch team in BDSP hits Lv. 80’s & she even swaps out a few of her members. Volo’s battle difficulty mainly spikes due to him having Giratina & it then transforming into it’s origin form once you beat it phase 1. Without that, he really isn’t too much of a threat. If you’ve beat Cynthia’s team without too much trouble upon your initial encounter with her, then Volo’s team isn’t any more different in terms of difficulty.
53:02 maybe that's why Type:Null failed. In order to control Arceus's power, you have to look just like him. Type:Null didn't, and so it went crazy with all of it's power. And that's also kinda why Giratina's origin form doesn't look like Arceus in any way. He doesn't want to control nor have Arceus's power. He wants to look nothing like him. He wants to have nothing to do with him.
Type: Null was a godkiller not an attempt at god - the reason why it went insane was due to how it was treated by the Aether Foundation- that’s why it’s evolved/frees form which can use its abilities properly stem from you becoming a good trainer/partner/friend with it I think the Giratina one checks out though, not to mention the snake symbolism
A fun fact about Dialga and Palkia's origin forms is that they're signature moves are slightly altered. Roar of Time gains power but loses accuracy, and Spacial Rend loses both power and accuracy, but gains a higher critical hit rate. It makes sense that they lose accuracy since Dialga's throat growth and Palkia's loss of arms makes it harder for them to use their moves, but since they now wield some of Arceus's power, the moves will end up dealing more damage when they hit.
15:49 I LITERALLY had the same reaction lmfao I was SHOOK!! I thought this guy was a homie because he had our back all this time even after we were banished (which now makes sense cause Giratina was banished too so maybe we reminded him of that) Also, either they're setting up a DLC sequel with how Volo stated those final words, or Cyrus is the incarnation of Volo's will which is also sick! Or... they're making a platinum full 3D remake/sequel with a new story, Volo's return and Giratina VS Arceus as the main focus to finalize the lore. I know it won't happen, but I will literally scream on top of my lungs if that were to happen
32:42 and 40:16 were my reactions XD. I straight up woke everyone in my house yelling at my game cause I had to do all this without revives since I only craft them after my Pokémon die to save space. I barely beat it on my first try, it was a last hit scenario lol.
I grew suspicious of Volo since I started the game. Sure he was a merchant that wanted to explore and learn the history of Husui and the legendary pokemon and whatever treasures he could find but him “conveniently” having the last few plates was odd to me, given he wasn’t much of a trainer. He just wanted to be the chosen one, like the protagonist is to Arceus so he wanted all the plates to use Giratina to create a new world where he was the chosen one (not sure if that’s 100% right)
43:00 Many will no doubt mention this, but you can't evolve or change a pokemon's form when you have it with you in the overworld. You have to return it to the poke ball. Strange rule I know, especially since several pokemon in the game are shown evolving in the overworld, but there must be some programming reason for it.
I never suspected Volo either, I had a feeling we would fight him because he had a gible, but never thought it would be something more than a friendly battle.
Best postgame since Black 2 & White 2 your reactions to Volo being bad easily delivered. I was so so satisfied to finally beat Volo kudos to Iwao (the director) for adding this he directed USUM so Ultra Necrozma was all him. I love that Cyrus tried this in modern Sinnoh a new world that same evil ideology passed into the future with Cyrus inheriting it instead of Cynthia.
Spoliers for the episode IN MY OPINION ttar had the best commentary on this pokemon game, the fact he really likes volo since the start and being backstabbed was really fun. Hope u do nuzlocks with this (ALSO FINISH IT)
It's crazy how the whole plot of the game plays into itself The game explicitly tries to tell you that nobody knows if the Nobles' Frenzy is bad or why it even happens only for us to discover it was essentially Arceus trying to keep Volo from gathering the plates But you find a way to stop them so Volo literally enables you through the whole game until you get all of them only to have you doordash the plates to him on Spear Pillar
Your worst sin is your passionate love for these Pokemon plots make me love them too. And when I see reviews saying this game has bad story, or even Pokemon Sword and Shield, which I like the story because of you, now don't know if their story itself is good or because you made it good.
The thing with Pokemon games is that the story is good if you are invested in it - if you really identify with the little character you run around as. So, if you look at the story without that perspective it might seem flat, but that's because the story is designed from that perspective. It's what makes video games unique to movies and books. You need to be actively invested in it in order for the story to land, and some people don't do that. Not too put down the people who don't like it, sometimes you just don't feel it. I think that's why Ttar's playground are so good, he really immerses himself into the story and speaks out what, in a novel, would be internal dialogue.
you can get the "item to change dialga's form" by fighting adaman near the lake trio lake in the crimson mirelands, and the reason you couldnt use the lustrous globe on palkia the first time was because he was outside his poke ball.
The amount of excitement TTar has for Pokemon lore is just what makes him so fun to watch. His genuine curiosity and passion for Pokemon is just so important and brings light to so many things. People need to watch this man more.
Man shout-out to Tyrannitar Tube for avoiding spoilers and his supporters for not spoiling this moment for him😆🔥🔥. I've seen a few underwhelming videos of RUclipsrs beating Volo first time because they were aware of Volo being a problem and overprepared for this moment, which kills the fun😅
When I first played diamond and pearl games back then, my first initial impression of Cynthia was that she was kinda sus or had something up her sleeve. My impression changed throughout the game and she became one of my favorite characters from pokemon. But my gut instinct was probably picking up vibes from her crazy ancestor lol.
Ttar, they probably made Giratina's statue because he was a creation of Arceus as much as Dialga and Palkia, and the statue must have been made in the ancient times (before it was banished for its violence) and that's why it's broken, once people saw how he was evil and violent, and banished by Arceus itself the ancient people of Sinnoh teared Giratina's statue down, at least that my take on it
I have been waiting for this exact moment in the postgame! All im thinking about is how Giratina sees familiarity in Cynthia years later when she was in the distortion world herself. Eventually Volo could not make his promise because Cynthia became a good person, but Volo's promise eventually became Cyrus' idea, and Cyrus is a descendant from Cylene, that is amazing tbh.
Finally, I hope this is an hour long episode of lore adventuring👍 I just realized how insane this situation is. Volo mentioned that he went and sought out Giratina hoping to meet Arceus. This man went out and literally meet the Satan of the pokemon world, and somehow convinced it to tear open the space time rift. And Arceus sent us down to Hisui to stop him because no one in the region that time can. This sounds absolutely insane and I love it
There's still more to the story, hopefully he makes videos all the way to Arceus. Also, if you patch your game, you can get Mesprit now. You may not look at your comments often, but if you do, hope this helps

Man you’ve gotta be the best person to react to this final battle. Haha 😂 to see how much you love Volo and to see the betrayal. I’ve been waiting for this moment thank you for not disappointing me.🔥🔥🔥🤣🤣
OMG I still love Volo, and that he befriended Giratina actually made him SO SICK I love this game man, I really hope they'll do more like this, especially from Jotho
As someone who trudged through the gauntlet of N and Ghetsis, this tops it in both intensity and difficulty. I love Gen 5 and it will always be my favorite but my experience with Volo and Giratina can not be matched. Me and Volo kept trading Pokémon, and I only had my Samurott left to deal Giratina. I somehow managed to revive enough of my team to take it down, even without knowing of Giratina and it’s Origin Forme.
Ttars reactions to EVERYTHING was absolutely GOLDEN 12/10 I was howling when i saw his reaction to giratina’s origin forme might be top 5 on his channel🤣
40:55 Underrated AI moment. Giratina uses Aura Sphere to eat up rounds so obscured status will go away and it recovers from its lowered offense so it can full force Shadow Force the next round.
Bro and you know what? With how Giratina is so ready to help Volo destroy the world to get at Arceus, this actually adds character development for Giratina.
See now I'm a bit curious -- the nobles were frenzied by lightning from the space-time rift, and Volo had a hard time getting the plates (and had to resort to the player to calm it) because of that.... which means whatever was frenzying the nobles wanted to stop Volo? But the dialogue implies Giratina caused the lightnings, which means then that Giratina perhaps doesn't want to fight Arceus and was only persuaded into badness by Volo?
The fact that Regigigas basically keeps its ability is funny but also ties into the mechanics of this game. The game itself has an action speed order so it's not that Regigigas has Slow Start, but that's hard-coded to have a decreased/slowed action speed within the mechanics of the game, basically it can never move first, but it's fitting since Regigigas is meant to be this slogged down Pokemon that doesn't move right away.
I really hope they keep up large parts of the Legends formula in the main series games because this really feels like the best parts of the main series, the Mystery Dungeon games and the better fan games.
Something I noticed too was that "vol" as a name prefix seems to be villain-ish... Maybe just Volo and Voldemort, but a friend said it might be latin for "death", which might make sense
Right now you're my fav reaction to this entire fight because yeah, the lore is A LOT and you're considering it. It's super nice and so refreshing to see someone connecting the dots between gen 4 (diamond, pearl and platinum) and then what's happening now in Arceus.
If i wasn't spoiled here and there about this it'd be more hype but mad respect he tells you what he wants to do and fights you for it rather then tricking you ganking you.
That obscuring thing is so cheap. Watching this, I realize how lucky I was getting through on the first try. The spoilers in the previous video comments also helped. They weren't specific, but kinda knowing what was up helped tip me off that I needed better moves.

It’s like you’ve been teasing it, sqying he might not actually be part of the Ginkgo guild, and how we kind of see that he’s sort of your favourite character in the game….a truly saddening betrayal

I saw this one really good theory about Volo and Giratina teaming up being that
Giratina wanted Round 2 with Arceus and was the one who originally had the idea of becoming the God of a new world like Cyrus and Volo
Giratina then teamed up with Volo in a sense so that when he got all of the Plates, he would go to the Temple of Sinnoh, use the Plates on Giratina to power boost it to Arceus's level then have the throw down of the millenia
But defeating Giratina made it realise how messed up that idea was, becoming god and deleting the entire world to make a new one is possibly the worst thing you could do but Giratina didnt think of that because he was so mad at Arceus
Hundred of years later we see Cyrus doing the exact same thing with Dialga and Palkia with creating a new universe, and Giratina sees this from the Distortion World and instead of letting it happen he goes to stop Cyrus from making the same mistake
This game really gave Giratina a story arc of it going from Angry 3rd Child to Guardian from the Shadow Realm
Once again this is not my original theory so if you see a comment with a similar idea its all credit to them
Sounds like a good theory to me
That actually makes some good sense
This is a really good theory
That explains why Giratina appeared from the distortion world to stop Cyrus

A fun fact about Dialga and Palkia's origin forms is that they're signature moves are slightly altered. Roar of Time gains power but loses accuracy, and Spacial Rend loses both power and accuracy, but gains a higher critical hit rate. It makes sense that they lose accuracy since Dialga's throat growth and Palkia's loss of arms makes it harder for them to use their moves, but since they now wield some of Arceus's power, the moves will end up dealing more damage when they hit.
but palkia should have arms in both forms because so many people despise it.
And roar of time doesn’t require a recharge turn

Giratina: Volo, hold my legs

When Cynthia becomes the second hardest fight in Pokémon history you know you have a problem
Correction: When Cynthia's theme kicks in, you know you have a problem.
@@YodaIzChaos I creamed them both very badly, to me Dialga's fight to the finish though will always haunt me to this day.
If Cynthia will ever have 3 stages of fighting she will take back the crown cause she has a garchomp and a milotic on her team
The BDSP fight was even harder than the original. I guess battling runs in the family.

I LITERALLY had the same reaction lmfao I was SHOOK!! I thought this guy was a homie because he had our back all this time even after we were banished (which now makes sense cause Giratina was banished too so maybe we reminded him of that)
Also, either they're setting up a DLC sequel with how Volo stated those final words, or Cyrus is the incarnation of Volo's will which is also sick!
Or... they're making a platinum full 3D remake/sequel with a new story, Volo's return and Giratina VS Arceus as the main focus to finalize the lore. I know it won't happen, but I will literally scream on top of my lungs if that were to happen
It’s interesting how Cylenne is the good guy while her descendant is bad while Volo is bad guy while Cynthia is the good guy
That would be an amazing game. Imagine a fight between Arceus and Giratina
@@Hebiiiii1 shows that it’s not by birth but by whose ideals u wish to adopt
32:42 and 40:16 were my reactions XD. I straight up woke everyone in my house yelling at my game cause I had to do all this without revives since I only craft them after my Pokémon die to save space.
I barely beat it on my first try, it was a last hit scenario lol.
I grew suspicious of Volo since I started the game. Sure he was a merchant that wanted to explore and learn the history of Husui and the legendary pokemon and whatever treasures he could find but him “conveniently” having the last few plates was odd to me, given he wasn’t much of a trainer. He just wanted to be the chosen one, like the protagonist is to Arceus so he wanted all the plates to use Giratina to create a new world where he was the chosen one (not sure if that’s 100% right)
I will never get over giritina transforming into his origin form in defiance alongside that amazing theme.... best pokemon game
Ttar after discovering Voló is evil: No amount of therapy will ever make this moment ok
I think it’s massively hilarious how Volo was about to have a change of heart until he saw the Azure Flute, after that he just got petty and left lol
Arceus really wanted to rub it in lmao
Best postgame since Black 2 & White 2 your reactions to Volo being bad easily delivered. I was so so satisfied to finally beat Volo kudos to Iwao (the director) for adding this he directed USUM so Ultra Necrozma was all him. I love that Cyrus tried this in modern Sinnoh a new world that same evil ideology passed into the future with Cyrus inheriting it instead of Cynthia.
"I'm not using potions, that's cheating"... proceeds to lose 20 times in a row
Spoliers for the episode
IN MY OPINION ttar had the best commentary on this pokemon game, the fact he really likes volo since the start and being backstabbed was really fun. Hope u do nuzlocks with this (ALSO FINISH IT)
💯 agree, i'll be playing the game and then i'll be wanting to know what's ttar's comment gonna be reg the events happening
So true
Just wanted to pat him on the back as he tried to rationalize Volo's suspicious behavior.
I think Thammil being so close to Volo makes the backstab more entertaining
@@sebastienakl8297 Cuz he actually cared about the lore and even uncovering and theorizing about it, thats what made his gameplay so entertaining
It's crazy how the whole plot of the game plays into itself
The game explicitly tries to tell you that nobody knows if the Nobles' Frenzy is bad or why it even happens only for us to discover it was essentially Arceus trying to keep Volo from gathering the plates
But you find a way to stop them so Volo literally enables you through the whole game until you get all of them only to have you doordash the plates to him on Spear Pillar
Your worst sin is your passionate love for these Pokemon plots make me love them too. And when I see reviews saying this game has bad story, or even Pokemon Sword and Shield, which I like the story because of you, now don't know if their story itself is good or because you made it good.
Don't worry, theres lots of people who love the story. Ttar just enhances the experience.
Cynthia is one of the few NPCs in Platinum (or only? not sure) who even knows what Giratina is. The clues were there all along
you can get the "item to change dialga's form" by fighting adaman near the lake trio lake in the crimson mirelands, and the reason you couldnt use the lustrous globe on palkia the first time was because he was outside his poke ball.
The amount of excitement TTar has for Pokemon lore is just what makes him so fun to watch. His genuine curiosity and passion for Pokemon is just so important and brings light to so many things. People need to watch this man more.
He should be the most popular poketuber imo. He’s the only person whos playthroughs i watch
I think Regigigas just tired from towing continents😂
I think it’s pretty funny that TTar got rid of Spatial Rend right before changing it to Origin Forme, since Spatial Rend gets a power up
i could watch people get folded by volo for hours
been waiting for ttar to react to that twist lol
WORTH IT

I love how we all just patiently were waiting for this video. Like ik yall were refreshing that page like 300 times 💀
Same lmao i always seek a ttar vid before going to bedd
We’re a hivemind
TTar: Why isn’t he using Dragon Claw
Giratina: Oh thanks for reminding me
Easily my favorite reaction to the fight, especially with how invested Ttar was with the whole lore and story.
"i beat him YESS iv never used item like that man"
Moments before disaster
Ttar, they probably made Giratina's statue because he was a creation of Arceus as much as Dialga and Palkia, and the statue must have been made in the ancient times (before it was banished for its violence) and that's why it's broken, once people saw how he was evil and violent, and banished by Arceus itself the ancient people of Sinnoh teared Giratina's statue down, at least that my take on it
The way Volo moves his leg when throwing the Pokèmon out is how Arceus and Arceus-alike move their legs.
Volo's battle theme is Nintendo's slap of the 21st century
I have been waiting for this exact moment in the postgame! All im thinking about is how Giratina sees familiarity in Cynthia years later when she was in the distortion world herself. Eventually Volo could not make his promise because Cynthia became a good person, but Volo's promise eventually became Cyrus' idea, and Cyrus is a descendant from Cylene, that is amazing tbh.
Finally, I hope this is an hour long episode of lore adventuring👍
I just realized how insane this situation is. Volo mentioned that he went and sought out Giratina hoping to meet Arceus. This man went out and literally meet the Satan of the pokemon world, and somehow convinced it to tear open the space time rift. And Arceus sent us down to Hisui to stop him because no one in the region that time can. This sounds absolutely insane and I love it
Trust me; it all pays off in the end with all the side-quests.
@@deez2037 nah im just waiting to see his reaction to volo lmao that shit gets me hype everytime
Most of it is him getting his cheeks clapped by Volotina😂
The man was so scared at 1:02:29 thinking incase if he had to fight again lol
40:06 Giratina was LITERALLY the "Call an Ambulance" meme at that point!
Man, I love this game. The Originform Giratina reactions never get old!
ttar’s reactions are goated! It’s so funny that he couldn’t believe volo was the villain 😂
nothing but pure happiness watching your reaction to volo, been waiting for this episode. you always got the best commentary.
40:00 Oh how long I waited for this moment and his reaction

The sheer amount of "Whew, I finally beat hi-" in this episode :')
There's still more to the story, hopefully he makes videos all the way to Arceus. Also, if you patch your game, you can get Mesprit now. You may not look at your comments often, but if you do, hope this helps

That Giratina is Tyson Fury, getting back up
I’m not totally finished with this video but I have that same feeling of watching a friend go through the same experience of content that I’ve been through and I’m just cheering for how flabbergasted he is. LOVE YOUR LEGENDS ARCEUS VIDEOS. Please finish the games for us, we love you.
Hey TTar! I haven't played Legends Arceus yet and I'm saving up this series for after I've played it myself. I'm avoiding spoilers and I just wanted to tell you I really appreciate that you avoid spoilers in your titles/thumbnails. It would probably be easy for you to clickbait your videos and put massive spoilers in them but I'm glad you don't

This was the best episode. So make sure you come back and finish this series. One of my favorite moments in Pokemon happen in this episode and TTAR's reaction is perfect.
Enjoy the game.
Considering the spoiler ban has been lifted by nintendo I'm sorry youre probably gonna get spoiled
The thumbnail doesn't really look like a spoiler
Same, I had to catch up as well. It's worth the wait! Ttar not only has been doing a good neighbouring spoilers, I think he has been selecting answer options most people won't take, so be sure to come back!
I had the most sadistic face when I knew he didn't yet realize he still has to face Giratina as well it's other form
Sadistic face?

1:02:24, he's so happy and then he looks at his screen to see if there is another form 🤣
My theory is arceus pulled a Dr strange n saw a bunch of future possibilities. And he realized thr answer to save hisui wasn't in that time. So he found someone worthy from the future.
This was my favorite episode of this playthrough. Seeing ttar so hyped about everything and actually challenged by the battle is great.
Man you’ve gotta be the best person to react to this final battle. Haha 😂 to see how much you love Volo and to see the betrayal. I’ve been waiting for this moment thank you for not disappointing me.🔥🔥🔥🤣🤣
FOR REAL🤣🤣🤣 I COULD WAIT ANY LONGER!!
OMG I still love Volo, and that he befriended Giratina actually made him SO SICK
I love this game man, I really hope they'll do more like this, especially from Jotho
The funny thing is I don't think there were even friends, considering he dipped after he lost🤣
Ttars reactions to EVERYTHING was absolutely GOLDEN 12/10
I was howling when i saw his reaction to giratina’s origin forme might be top 5 on his channel🤣
40:55 Underrated AI moment. Giratina uses Aura Sphere to eat up rounds so obscured status will go away and it recovers from its lowered offense so it can full force Shadow Force the next round.
Ttar: "I THOUGHT IT WAS OVER"
Volo: "You thought it was over? Ha."
40:08 was the greatest reaction ever LMAO
i knew tyranitartube would have if not the best reaction out of all youtubers
I really hope they keep up large parts of the Legends formula in the main series games because this really feels like the best parts of the main series, the Mystery Dungeon games and the better fan games.
Something very ironic is that "volo" in Latin means 'I want'
Something I noticed too was that "vol" as a name prefix seems to be villain-ish... Maybe just Volo and Voldemort, but a friend said it might be latin for "death", which might make sense
volo means I want
cogito means I think
also apparently cyntha means first in welsh but i dont think thats intended
Volo is probably the best character in Legends
I’ve been waiting for this episode for a very long time, just to see your reaction to Volo’s betrayal. It’s like you’ve been teasing it, sqying he might not actually be part of the Ginkgo guild, and how we kind of see that he’s sort of your favourite character in the game….a truly saddening betrayal
this game is amazing, just amazing. one of the best things pokemon has ever put out with a story rivaling some mystery dungeon games

I am SO GLAD I didn't get spoiled on the formes, this episode just had my jaw on the floor. That twist, that fight, the reveals.... absolutely insane!!!
Volo sets a string precedent for his descendants
40:05 what i love about the soundtrack is that it has a beeping heart monitor that stops (in the original song the beep was also present since he is like the devil awaiting your death since he is the one that opposes arceus as god) but when he becomes his second stage the beep stops and continues like a normal heart beep since he came back to life
And now it's time for...
