Giratina being prefaced as an "Eldritch Presence" is so hype inducing...
10:53 this happens before the events of Platinum, so it makes a lot of sense in the context of this game and even more so in the context of Platinum, why Giratina was listening to Volo. Obviously Giratina remembers this during the events of Platinum, which is why he stops Cyrus, instead of helping him.

there's also the fun theory that the reason giratina won't fight you if you run is because you resemble the legends protag

After legends giratina realizes it's actually got the most important roll of any pokemon, the distortion world can obliterate the material world if damaged, she giratina stops hating it's dad and starts protecting the world
It's pretty wild that the main game is about surviving and summoning Dialga or Palkia and then the post game reveals that the real story was that the player was sent by god to defeat a satanist and the devil.
Girantina isn't the devil. In platinum dude legit saves dialga and palkia.
@@ExtinctionKlown69420 Giratina's backstory is point-for-point based on Lucifer's fall from Heaven. The only difference in Pokemon is that the Devil finds redemption, but he's still very much the Devil.

The reason Giratina listened to Volo was because he possessed the ghost plate a fragment of Arceus
It gave the ghost plate to Volo and started him on that path. He explicitly states that after you beat him. I like to headcanon that Giratina was manipulating Volo instead of the other way around, so.

I love Giratina but now I kinda wish he wasn't a thing back in Gen IV. Imagine going into this battle, finish the first phase, Volo takes about the eldritch presence and then Giratina appears (with the second phase right behind it)
You know, I didn't realize when playing, but he refers to Giratina as "eldrish" rather than "demonic". That's interesting.
I don't think Gamefreak would put the word "demonic" in a game, considering the many censors Pokémon games suffered in the past. But I also find that slight detail quite interesting.
Especially during the late 90s, Pokemon had a big problem in the US with every 'mon being called a demon. Like, classmates weren't supposed to play with me because their mom saw me wear a Pikachu shirt.

After I beat Giratina altered forme, I had no trouble with the origin forme. I sent in my Alpha Garchomp and struck Giratina down with a dragon claw in the strong style
