Yes l can only imagine. Pure supercar muscle. I have similar motor in my 92 mustang gt. Supercharged small Block ford. My car is a 5spd 650hp in a 3000lbs car. You can't beat the feeling of the torque and pure sbf v8 blown sound. Car scares the pants off me.
This car always made me dream when I was younger. It remains just as iconic as it was back then and I still see it today with the same look of wonder that I once had. There are few cars that you can easily say will be in your heart forever, this is one of them.
What an absolute masterpiece! The legacy that this car holds, the racing background (gt40). Could you make a video about the top ten (or so) cars that you like the most? It would be great! Good job.
YOOOOOOO i haven't read title i just saw the thumbnail and i thought its a mustang but when i clicked and saw its actually a FORD GT i got SHOCKED!!!! I've never expected to see such car on the channel🤯. well done autotopnl🔥
YEEEEEESSSSSS FINALLYYY I've waited so long for this video! One of my absolute dreamcars and finally you are making a video on it. Can't wait for the proper review
It's a 2006 car, but damn it sure is fast! After 140 mph it was starting to get scary but he pushed it to almost 190 mph (300 km/h)! Insane! With less traffic I think 200 mph (320 km/h) would have been achievable which is crazy for a public road.
Ricardo 6 speed transmission, Ricardo is a transmission Legend, he's pretty much had something to do with just about every supercar transmission that's ever existed.
I got to ride in one and I love how you get sucked back into your seats accelerating ! What a rush ! I also love how you can feel the engine a few inches behind you
Ayyyyy this is the American dream car and I asked autotop for this on the new v6 gt video so this tickles me. The dutch duo are badasses, and love from the south 🇺🇸
Sometimes Ford gets things right. With this generation GT they got it extremely right. She's got some long legs huh? 260 in 4th, wow! Speaking of long legs, i hope you do a XJ220 video soon.
Very stable aero too. A few years back a 2000+hp one was the first street legal car to hit 300mph in the standing mile and looked pretty damn flat for being on airfield tarmac.
This makes different parts of my body to become moist with that sound coming from a manual with a supercharger and crackles in the exhaust and the sound of it hitting speed 😲😲😲
Well I think that's as close to one of my bucket list wishes as I am going to get. I have sat in a GT but I'll never be able to drive one. That was a great ride.
In my opinion, this is by far the best vehicle Ford ever developed. We can say that a lot of it was designed in Europe. Ok fine. The newer GT is designed in the US by American engineers (Maybe a few Brits and Gemrans), but developed in the US nonetheless and it won LeMans again.
Its ironic that a company known for trucks an creature family comfort, has this racing side of itself that has sooooooo much character and passion put within its cars. They are always Fords, but in truth, thats exactly what makes them all so special. they are vehicles that shows the even higher priced exotics all the things they lack and should be delivering in their vehicles.
Back in 1983 when I was stationed at Ft. Bliss, I drove a 383 Road Runner 155mph on I-10 heading eastbound out of El Paso. Spent the day at Hueco Tanks and back at barracks that evening in time for CQ duty. Times were awesome back then.
Its fun to open up with no speed limits, i was told that they had accidents that they buried the car and driver and passenger, be safe, this driver was and still had some fun
You can tell this car was made for circuit by the huge door pillar and tiny side mirrors. One of a kind car but that door shut kind of reminds me of the guillotine lol.
I’ve driven Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Bentleys, all sorts of super cars, yet this is my absolute favorite car I’ve ever driven. 🔥

Gotta love a proper analog supercar. I'm lucky enough to see a few of these a year out in the wild in the US.
I see Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Aston Martins, but never these on the road anymore.
@@machtschnell7452 same. These are some truly amazing cars and most of them are tucked away in a garage somewhere.
@@machtschnell7452 as a for instance in my area, I saw more McLarens in one day than Mazda Miatas.

The GOAT. One of the best looking, sounding, and driving cars of all time. One of my poster cars as a child!

At first glance I was like "why is this pulling so slow?" Then I'm like "oh wait that's MPH written in bigger size".
Daedalus? Oh my god JC a bomb!
I mean if you look more in the middle of the speedo you can see Km/h
yea its an old car, fun fact, there is a ford gt with 3000+ hp that did a standing mile at 306 mph recently
Still looks slow, even slow revving. Building higher end speed at a decent pace though. The noise and looks is good enough to make up for it
@@tesstickle7267 I think we can all agree it's faster than your yugo
If you don't love this beast, then, you must be dead. That exhaust note is heavenly.
Luckily I'm alive then :D
Who cares if it has a McIntosh sound system..The exhaust sound is a symphony..
Especially for a V6 turbo. Sounds like a v8.

A manual and a supercharged V8! Sounds absolutely glorious! 👍

I just love the lane discipline on the autobahn! That’s why it’s safer than our interstates despite not having a speed limit in many areas.
America's supercar. Amazing seeing it on the Autobahn.
Dutchman doing an excellent job you could read the road signs and he wasn't wearing gloves. Nice work.
Reminds me of that Super Speeders video in the GT. That downshift note. Music.

Amazing how this car pulls to 100 + MPH!
Ricardo 6 speed transmission, Ricardo is a transmission Legend, he's pretty much had something to do with just about every supercar transmission that's ever existed.
I so love the sound of a proper push rod v8. Nothing makes torque like a v8 and I love the deep bone shaking noise it makes.
It is a 32 valve overhead cam V8 in the ‘06 Ford GT. No pushrods. But I do agree, a pushrod V8 makes an awesome sound!
Just the effortless acceleration between 100 and 160 is just mind blowing.
