Drumcliffe School of Irish Dance in 2003 at Hochstein Music School, Rochester NY, with musicians Laurie Hart, Mitzie Collins, John & Joe Dady, Pat Carey, Roxanne Zeigler, Frank Murphy, Marty O'Keefe, Ted McGraw. Choreography by director Eddie Murphy. The three reels are Swallowtail Reel, The Earl's Chair, and The Pigeon on a Gate.

This is the perfect encapsulation of Irish dance. Complex but full of life and story, remembering that it’s still a folk dance beneath all the glitz. (This was also right in my era of competing and I miss those old paneled dresses. Didn’t think I ever would lol)

I used to dance for Drumcliffe MAANY moons ago. Eddie was a fantastic teacher and it was always so amazing watching these girls practice tirelessly on perfecting the loom. To even be asked to participate in it was an honor that no one took for granted. Unfortunately, its an all female dance, so myself and a lot of the other guys were always so jealous we didnt get to participate lol. Great times. Shout out to Drumcliffe in Rochester and all the unfortgettable times we had dancing at the Hochstein (where this event took place)

the most beautiful traditional Irish dancing that I've seen ... and I've seen hundreds of choreographers ... this is really traditional Irish dance
and evolution of dancers is perfect.

Eddie Murphy's choreography is stunning and the dancers performed beautifully. Also love seeing & hearing these fine musicians, especially getting a glimpse of Frank Murphy and Martin O'Keefe, two Irish born treasures who are the basis of Irish traditional music in Rochester. Our dancing costumes then were always beautiful and the cloaks were secured by beautiful Tara broaches. That would have been the class costume

Wonderful, choreography super. I see the movement of the yarns in the clever use of dancers arms. Where are those girls now? Do any of them still do Irish Dance? Excellent entertainment, expertise, enjoyment , and congratulations to all involved in this performance.
