- Documentary describing the life of the late Irish druid, Ben McBrady.
Ben McBrady, known as Brady of the Name and Herenach of the Two Kilmores, was Aircinneac and Herenach of a pre-Druid Megalithic Order called “The Old Gaelic Order,” often referred to simply as “The Order.” Ben McBrady is believed to have been the last member of “The Old Gaelic Order.” Because of this he was called “The Last Druid.” He passed away in January of 1996. Ben McBrady was a descendant of Lugar MacLugair (Lughaid mac Loeguire), who was Chief Druid of Ireland and Druid to the High King Leary and the Kings of Leinster. Lugar MacLugair was also believed to have been a member of “The Old Gaelic Order.”

I met him in Ennistymon where his daughter still lives. She inherited his library, which was so extensive that even when she modified a large garage and an attic with bookshelves, there still was not enough space.

This documentary opened me up to my heart core, and as i have sacrificed the modern life, with my family, we have given it all up to move away to the mountains and live amongst the trees, the earth and the animals. We grow our own, raise our own goats, home-ed our children, store food for winter, and live close to nature, it was nice to see this and feel apart of the olden ways... blessed be..

Does anyone know where McLugers grave is in Kildare? Despite being from there I've never even heard of it
Ben has been a good friend of mine. I met him in the early 80s and visited him about five times, even lived in his house a few weeks. We wrote letters to each other for years, exchanging ideas and experiences. He taught me a lot back then.
I knew a Belgium team was going to make a documentary about Ben as he told me about it. Ben got them in touch with me and I interviewed with them prior to their shooting in Ireland. Never heard back. So I am glad to see what came of it.
Ben was a very kind soul and I am so glad I got to spend lots of time with him. Anyone who has information to share, please do.

God what I'd give to sit in his library for a few hours and absorb the knowledge it contains. I would have loved to have met and talked to him. Its a shame that most people seem more interested in what happens on Love island and the Kardashians then listening to what this man has to say and maybe learning something useful. Excellent documentary.

I trust this man. I’m Scott’s-Irish almost completely, there is 2% Spanish and 1% French in my DNA. I live out in the woods on the West Coast, out amongst the titanic Old Growth Sequoias and the Pines and Cedars. I am completely committed to the woods, and I spend every day out in the trees doing removals and topping, splitting and stacking firewood for sale, and I am connected with the Forest on a genetic level.
Not too far back my ancestors would have been Druidic, or at the least involved with or even Governed by Druidic Eldars. I cannot verbally quantify the passion for the Forest that I have but I will be here until the day I die. I believe the man in this video carries with him knowledge worth more than Gold, and I would have loved a chance to become his disciple. I was raised heavily Christian, but now I believe that the Meritocratic system of advancement within Druidic Orders is a better system than “everyone is a sinner, sinners can be saved” is. I wish to find reading material on the man or on his favorite works, and which Historical accounts of Druidic practices he held as most accurate. If anyone is aware of any of this man’s written works, I would greatly appreciate some reading material!

@@dionysus4295 I saw this video come up in the suggested videos for the first time ever tonight and when I saw the title, I had to watch it. Then when I got a little ways into it and Ben began talking about telepathy being the primary means of communication -- well I had to watch the entire video. I came to understand this for myself some years ago. I am an English Language teacher to learners of other first languages, and have thought for myself that telepathy was the original means of communication. This helps to explain the story of the tower of Babel from the Bible.

Even then it was forced to go "underground" just to survive the wide spread panic about Witchcraft/Magick spells/rituals where it was a widespread practice to publicly kill accused/convicted Witches. He is hardcore, not even any gloves on, no smoke and he's handling the bees like a pro! A real Vitruvian Man, multi-skilled and talented. Woodcarving, etc. I bet a lot of craftsman probably studied under druids.
They were the only ones blessed to carve religious instruments and then those arts were passed to the common man by the children that joined the latter pantheon of gods that were identified by the jobs or "Arts" they performed.
My grandmother who was born in the mountains of Morroco used to talk about how wise men would gather and pray to a tree before cutting it down and carving it into statues.

This may sound fanciful, but when l came near to the end of this video, the grey sky outside my window broke up for a moment and light flooded into my room and my face, l felt a wonderful spiritual connection to God, the universe and the ancient knowledge that this man is talking about.Tears filled my eyes as l mourned the passing of not only him, but the old ways that have now been so corrupted in these modern times, l am afraid that l have lost hope for humanity, and the sins and evil that are now taking place weigh heavily on me.

I hope this helps when your heart feels heavy for humanity - Immanuel Kant’s words not my own “if the truth shall kill them, let them die” It could be a large part of humanity is held back as a small group moves closer to center. We all choose our own course and have to remember, with perfect love and compassion, we cannot healthily carry others consequences for them. Let the other feel the full weight of the consequences for choices made because it’s their sovereign right to do so. Please don’t let your own heart grieve for people who choose to stay asleep. Wish them well learning and integrating the very very major lessons that soul is going to learn and focus your real heart energy on others who choose to nurture your own soul back in that same supportive way. If we allow ourselves to absorb and carry all the negativity around us thanks to our compassionate natures it only leaves us feeling shitty, depleted and exhausted by humanity. That’s such a place of weakness which isn’t useful to anyone, really. We owe ourselves more, truly.

He's talking about the same Meteorites Graham Hancock spoke of in his books. The idea of an ancient civilisation being destroyed 10,000 years ago being passed down a druid tradition to preserve knowledge is fascinating.
its amazing when things come full circle like that. I was amazed to hear his first few sentences in this video were about exactly that, the same topic as Graham Hancock's studies of the world destroying cataclysm 10,000 years ago. Ben Brady also says in the video that those megalithic passage graves are actually bomb shelters, a lot like Derinkuyu. Just fascinating how it all fits. Everything makes more sense with every little piece that gets connected. I feel inclined to pass this documentary on to someone like Randall Carlson to see if he & his research team might be aware of some of these ancient druidic connections to the same cataclysm, & expand more research into it.

I began having dreams and intuition about my irish heritage, and found that I began to learn many things and understand patterns in nature and life.. I think irish mythology is largely misunderstood, so much history has been lost but something was passed down in our consciousness and genetics. I think each generation someone receives these blessings and inspiration.
I don’t really think anything was passed down to us I feel like us Irish just managed to learn our own ways of understanding nature the skys animals and bring back the dead and ward them off if they were evil spirits

Oh my, that was absolutely wonderful! Thank you for posting such an invaluable gem of knowledge and wisdom on YT, to share amongst the world!! I believe I could listen to this gentleman 24 hours a day and never grow weary of his vast wealth of wisdom and knowledge. So much of what he spoke to resonates deeply in my soul and at times, caused an ache in my heart for a land and people I long to return home to.
When he spoke about the Cosmos and order vs Earthly chaos and the nessessity of us achieving a balance between the two for humanity to continue on, it was quite profound, indeed. I’ve met (not physical) only 3 people’s who have ever been able to have a bird land in there hand, I am one of them, my dad and my girlfriend are the other two we are all pagans, and we do plan to heal the earth but it’s amazing to see such a community come together over this one video, I don’t consider myself a Druid. My mom was not a Druid, but for several years held a May day celebration at our farm in upstate New York. This would have been in the late 1980's- early 1990's. Mom was an herbalist, and had an interest in teaching the old ways of doing things, we gardened organically, made maple syrup the old way, burned wood, raised and sheared sheep, etc. Mom would make May wine for these celebrations, by putting Woodruff in bottles of white wine. We would put up a Maypole, and crown a May queen. Every year, Druids from a local order would attend. This was years ago, and I am not certain if the order still exists, but possibly they are still around, and still keep the old ways. Our farm was in Lewis county, New York, in Greig township. Twin Maples farm.

My brother and I worked for Warren Allen, he bought the sugarbush from Alvin Noftsier on Resha Road years ago. My sister Sari lived in Croghan with her ex- husband for a few years. I love it up there, our farm was foreclosed on in the early 1990's. I agree...I love the Gulls but it is very common for them to take food from humans...I an far inland from the Florida beaches and there are no seagulls here...for years I have been placing out sunflower seeds and other nuts and fruit treats for the wild Bluejays, finches, woodpeakers and red cardinals and others, and even though they come to the feeders soon after I put out the seed, they never let me get close to them...if they were seagulls it would be like that Alfred Hitchcock movie The Birds

I think some of this is nonsense, because of the passage of time, human nature, and confused ideas. Also others are tuning into their innate spiritual abilities and discovering more about what humans truly are as a species, outside of the parameters of mainstream indoctrination. Within our often untapped spiritual capacity, lies the opportunity for anyone to connect with spirit directly and find out more about our true history for ourselves, which is part of the dna and energy we all carry within our soul. I think we are probably close to the genesis of a new dawn of understanding, but of course there is a lot of karmic baggage humanity is still dealing with.

In reality, when one looks at earth from space, there are no borders. Nobody owns the earth. It is a man made construct.
If one person was left alive on earth, that person could land up being anyone because a disaster could strike anywhere at any time, even with the best planning.
It might not be a learned Druid.
That person would not be able to continue to have children to repopulate the earth.
It depends what kind of disaster strikes.
If this one surving person was a Druid they would probably be able to document what happend in some way.

Even if one male and one female lived and had children, they would have to interbreed to have more children. Much like the Adam and Eve tale. There are quite a few words in Gaelic which hold etymology in Proto Indo European, which found their way into Phoenicia and such. While most of the language is completely separate, there are definitely holdovers that were shared. Phoenician language is predominately taken from Egyptian, with PIE influence. Their writing system comes from Egyptian hieroglyphics, which then became the Greek written language. Greek spoken language is PIE, while its written language is totally Egyptian/Phoenician.

Gives me a feeling of Harmony and my Lineage. I've little known History of my family, other than my lineage is of County Kerry.
A few years back it was revealed that DNA of Ireland reflects that we are originally of Basque orgin, (I would add that this is Post Flood era), and today those representing the highest value if Basque are found un Southwest Ireland,Counties Keery and Cork. Location shielded is from the Anglo Saxon invasions and aggressions.
(Anglo Saxons were Germanics; as were the early Romans, those in Britain in 1st - 4th Centuries AD/CE; the Jutes; Normans; Vikings, all Germanics).
At some point one if these groups affected an Ethnic Cleansing upon the early English Males, as today less than 2% of that Male DNA remains. The female continued to some degree.
