- This is how to bypass the coolant sensor on a Simi truck. I recommend having the sensor replaced asap, but this trick will get you down the road if your truck is one that shuts down when sensor reads low coolant or malfunctions. You'll also need to keep close eye on coolant level (which you should do anyway) because now you won't have a sensor to warn you of low coolant.
God bless you and your beautiful daughter sir. I unplugged mine and got the check engine and I didn’t even have to use the paper clip 😅. You helped me a ton. My ultraloft kept waking me up in the middle of the night with the ding ding and I didn’t know what to do. But your video saved the day. Your a hero in my book sir.
That's great. Glad to help. Stay safe.
OMG!!! That easy???
I work for an O/O and he's one of those "Won't fix unless it breaks or fails inspections" butt heads. After a month.... YOU... ARE THE MAN!!! Used speaker wire. Didn't have clips but it worked. Thank you tons.
Glad I could help. Stay safe.
Appreciate the update.. Definitely gonna try out tomorrow
Let me know how it works out for ya or if ya have any questions.
Thanks for your video. You saved me a road call
Gald to help. Stay safe brother
Hiya Wayward Son your daughter is adorable. Not much of an update on the weather predictions only a tad bit.... It's unreal for January but hey I'm happy to still not have any significant amount of snow. Anyway now for Sunday still predicting 100 percent chance of rain and day time high mid 60 degrees. Monday 47 degrees high rain free over night low of 35 degrees and Tuesday 42 day time temp . Enjoy time with your family . Take care 🤠🤠🙋🙋😊😊 I forgot Saturdays update in the low 60 day temp & 46 overnight 👍😊
Hey thanks for this information! It works on a 2019 KW W900
Glad it helped. Stay safe.
the easyer way is pull out the sensor tape a small magnet to the top and ziptie sensor to the tank support will clear alarms and no chek engine light
Good to know tho I have lots of paperclips but no magnets in the truck 😁😁
The magnet does work.
On that particular truck and engine you don't need a paperclip, only have to unplug sensor abs the dinging will stop, code will still show until corrected but no ding ding ding
Thanks. Only ever done it on the old 60 series Detroit's and then that Cummins.
Hi Lora, bye Lora, don't blame you for wanting to stay warm! Catherine, good job!! John made you get your pretty fingernails/hands dirty, just a little☻. Not easy for truckers to keep hands/fingernails clean, and low priority on the checklist, for sure.
Question: Since you knew a temp "fix", how come you didn't fix it 2,000+ miles ago? Ding ding.
I saw your little January bikini calendar, uh huh! 😜
I thought they were going to fix it at the shop and didn't know how the boss felt about me using the trick.
@@johnthaxton9235 I kind of figured as much. But now with Intl supposedly having fixed it and didn't, all bets are off! As you say, holy moly! Don't forget your back scratcher lol😊💕
Top of the morning to you both Wayward Son & Lindakay ha ha if I'm not mistaken in a previous video heard John say he didn't have a paper clip. I then left a comment if he were closer to our neck of the woods and we owned carrier pigeons we'd send a clip his way ha ha 😉😃
@@vivianwhitmore9765 we found one but I appreciate the thought.
@john your daughter is adorable glad you two found a paper clip lol I did watch your video .... Other then your postings & Malinda the sweet lady who sings to her pets I haven't viewed any other channels I'm subbed to since 12/ 22 or 12/ 23 🤔🤔 ttys btw this weather is outrageous I saw a lady bug it's in the low sixties as they predicted
I have that same problem...how did the temporary fix worked out for you?
Worked out well. Was able to run for two weeks till they got me back to Boise to our mechanic.
You get a engine light but as long as you keep an eye on the coolant level it'll run fine.
Nice!!!thanks for the rquick response...I'm doing it tomorrow morning...then heading home this weekend and take care of it...
@@kelvincruz3889 good luck and safe travels.
@@kelvincruz3889 ya make it home with that quick fix?
Fking piece of sht truck shuts off my entire AC because of faulty sensor ... and Im in south Texas! 🥵
I hope this works
It works for ya?
It worked for a little while but then it started acting up again on my way back.
Dont matter tho . It was a lame newer automatic loaner truck while my original truck was getting fixed but Im finally back in my original truck which is better. No unnecessary stupid sensors, 10-speed, powerful.. and it’s ungoverned 😃
Nice.
