Man i remember being a teen in the mid 90's and going to the arcade, and seeing everyone crowded at a game thinking what's going on. And when i seen KI for the 1st time I said DAMN! This game was so ahead of its time with the graphics, sound and the combos. I loved Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter, but KI was something special. Nothing like those "Fight On" and "Supreme Victory" scenes. Plus the zooming and scaling on boards like Orchid's and Cinder's is just amazing. DOWN SOUTH!!!

It's better visually sure but the Snes's gameplay is actually better, it's overall the same and it fixed a lot of glitches and infinite combos, and also remember that KI Gold wasn't excactly Arcade perfect.
I wish they remade this game exactly how it is. Just polish it up. Like fire bombs when they clash, make the sparks less pixelated. The animation smoother. Leave the sounds exactly as they are

That knee combo (0:58), that makes it look like you're just prancing along, is sooooooo F*ckin dope. He's literally just playin with that as* at that point. Thunder has one of the best lookin combo's out of any character. This coming from a Fulgore/Orchid main.
KI 1, was hands down superb for the arcade. The SNES version was close to the arcade version. I agree, N64 KI Gold wasn't put together properly, but with the right time invested, it could have been a competitor to MK3/UMK3.

To be fair, some people probably either don't know how to make the video play at 60fps, or their internet connection isn't good enough. But yes, this game looks incredible at this framerate.
I love this game so much. I got KI, KI2, KI Gold, new KI seasons 1,2,3 🤣🤣. KI and KI Gold are my faves though. The combos are waaay cooler than the new KI.
